Jordan’s Hot Dogs

I love love the hot dogs here. I never ever eat the bun on anything!!! They toasted it on the grill and I ate all of it! First, time ever!!! I asked for best hot dog that they had! Hot dog pastrami with cheese and all the trimmings for me with extra raw onions! OMG, OMG, OMGawd!!! I am a hot dog lover and this made my month because I’ve been looking all month. Beef hot dog! I truly recommend trying this place if you like hot dogs like me! I only got their specialty, hot dogs! Don’t ask me about anything, else. Enjoy their great dawg!!!

I was in LA looking for a place to eat. Since I am not totally familiar with this area, I needed some Unilocal!I looked up lunch and found Jordans Hot Dogs. I saw all the good reviews and was totally down to try it out! I walk in and it totally reminds me of a Western Union store that you go get money orders, lol. Its like bullet proof glass, which of course makes me feel safe (sarcasm) and there are all these posts on the glass and then the menu behind the glass which I could barely read because the of the light reflection on the glass. I swear I felt like a moron trying to read the menu lol. I finally gave up and I just went to the ordering area (where you would exchange the money if it were a western union, lol), and asked the guy what is good… he didnt help much but asked ‘hot dog or burger?’ I wanted a hot dog… he said I should probably try the chili dog. Whatever, I’m down for that! So I got two chili dogs. I also wanted something to drink so I got a Pineapple slushie. I took it all back to the office and was ready to dig in. To start, the pineapple slushie tastes NOTHING like pineapple! I love, love, love pineapple and this was like a wanna be lemon pineapple watery taste. Total waste… which got me worried about my hot dog! If the pineapple slushie tastes like this… WHAT IS MY CHILI DOG GOING TO TASTE LIKE!!! Such worry… So I open it up and take my first bite and man… I was totally impressed! I couldn’t believe how good it tasted! I only ate one cause a coworker was hungry so I gave him my other one, but I could probably down like 3 of these things! It was REALLY good!
The cool thing is that they have a pretty big menu of things they offer. They even offer Vegan hot dogs… who woulda thought that that exists!!! So crazy… Its a cool spot to get something to eat. I just get worried about the bullet proof glass, lol j/​k. If you’re around the area, try this place out. I will again try it out again, but maybe next time a burger…

Stopped by to try chili cheese fries with pastrami. Let’s go! Good flavor on the fries and thick chili. But the cherry slushy. .yummy.

Went there after reading positive reviews. Went in the drive thru and despite a few communication issues with the microphone. I got the «Everyday Special». Not bad and the owner greeted us and told us we could phone in or go through Unilocal to order for faster service. The hot dogs were flavorful and fries were hot. Will definitely be back again! Btw… get the chili with rice and Polo for a meal within a meal! Good stuff!

I grabbed some chili cheese fries and a patty melt. Very disappointing… their chili was like ground beef with taco seasoning and water… I’m a thick n creamy chili type of girl. love brick chili. && their patty for the melt was very salty and the melt in general was dry. could’ve used some sautéed onions or something, also didn’t like that I was given wheat bread without asking which I’d like because I prefer white. The guy that took our order was nice but has a dry personally. wasn’t very inviting. Wouldn’t go back or recommend the place.

I have to say hands down one of the best turkey burgers I’ve eaten in Los Angeles! If you guys are ever in the Crenshaw District I strongly recommend this spot! They have a drive thru as well as a sit down area. One more thing they offer slushies on menu along with other great things! I’m definitely going back!

Ok This is it. We have clearly found THE BEST HOT DOG IN L.A. The dog is perfect. Soft bun, and the chili is perfection. Not too much and with a kick of spice. We will be loyal regular customers.

The chilli cheese hot dog is delicious and the prices are reasonable. I’m taking away a star because I do not like their chili cheese fries. It’s an abomination to cover steak fries in chilli and cheese; the texture and consistency are off. I’d visit again.

Went there for the first time last night, I have to admit it was pretty damn good, I had a Polo burger with pastrami no tomato no pickles, it didn’t look like much but it was good as fuck, just not enough fries but still good!!!

I had lunch today at Jordan’s, I had the chili dogs special and I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service and quality of food and you have to try there Chiller Diller any flavor. they also have free wifi. Thanks for staying in the neighborhood.

Always friendly service. I hate that they moved from their original location but it’s worth the drive. I recommend the chili & rice with polo.

Jordan’s Hot Dogs is lit. And the chili is on point. Ima have to grab a pastrami next time.

Really nice, polite service. It’s not fast but only because they prepare everything fresh. I agree with previous reviewers that the fries are most times a little undercooked, still delicious, but you can tell they needed a little more time in the fryer. The chili cheese dogs are great as well. Definitely going back here again.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and noticed a new restaurant, Jordan’s Hot Dogs, and thought I would give it a try. I posted my service review and food review below.
Service Review: I visited Jordan’s around 9:00pm on a Monday night and the place was completely empty. I didn’t think too much of it since it was passed the dinner rush, but I should have listened to my intuition. I went to order at the counter and the entire wall was covered in clear hard plastic with a small window to give and receive money. I’m a complete fan of taking security measures but the whole décor design was off-​putting. The structure reminded me of tv shows where you visit family members in prison and you have an entire wall of glass preventing you from reaching out to one another. Gee, I just wanted a hot dog, not the Queen’s diamonds. I then proceed to place my order and there’s a television glaring in the indoor seating area. I give the gentleman my order and he asks me to speak up. I ask him to turn down the television so that I can repeat my order. He says that the sound is fine and to yell my order to him. Really? You would rather listen to a football game then hear the order of paying customer? Priorities. I then debated whether to stay or go, but decided to stay and see if Jordan’s could redeem my impression of them with their food. That leads me to my food review.
Food Review: I ordered a polish sausage with sauerkraut, a chili cheese dog, and an order of fries. The sausage was burnt, the sauerkraut tasted dated, and the french fries were undercooked. The only redeeming quality of my dinner was the chili on a mediocre hot dog. My total came to $ 9.45 which looking back on my meal was a scam if I ever saw one. After reading other reviews on Unilocal,it appears that Jordan’s does have some fans, but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The cost, taste, quality of the food and the overall experience of Jordan’s restaurant is not worth it. Would highly not recommend.

I love this place and I’m too happy that its closers to my house… if you haven’t ate here please give it a try

They have the best chili cheese dog hamburgers chili cheese fries I’ve been following them since they moved from Imperial Highway I am super happy they’re here on the Westside and don’t forget about their chiller dillars

The chili cheese dogs are excellent. Yes, the chili is spicy but good spicy. So far, I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried there. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

So to update my previous note I finally made it inside the establishment after my first two tries (they were closed for inspection then closed due to a power outage). Anyway we ordered chili dogs, fries, and a lemonade ice cream drink. The chili dogs were average, nothin special but seriously over prices and over rated for a placed named Jordans HOT DOGS. The fries had a good seasoning and the drink was good at first but after it started to melt it taste like lemon mixed in ice cream. The people working there were nice and I just can’t forget the cook was eating fries as he was cooking our food. He even came out to talk to us chewing. :-/​unfortunately I won’t be back. I like to support neighborhood business but this place does not meet the mark.

I hadn’t been to the originals Jordan’s but I will come again! They have specials like five tacos for $ 5.55 on Fridays as well as Internet specials. Great tacos! ChiliI cheese fries were tasty also. Clean & friendly atmosphere. Tell a friend, bring a friend

omg. i just demolished a chili cheese pastrami dog… it was the best ever. it want to go get another one right now

If you love burgers try Jordan’s famous polo burgers. The polo burger has a hot link with chili, onion, and mustard on a hamburger bun… When I say awesome I mean awesome. When my dad is visiting LA he always stop by Jordan’s for the polo burger.

If you like chili dog or like classic LA burger stands Jordans is the place to go. Quick service good food. Definitely an inexpensive and tasty alternative to the local fast food in the neighborhood
