I still like Dr. Goodstein and the receptionist has become much friendlier of late (did she read this?!), so yay. For that, one star’s worth of improvement… But, still a 4 (more like a 3.5) because I went in to have my stitches removed. I was told I was the first appointment after lunch, so after watching another patient go in right before me and then being put in the patient’s room for 30 minutes, I said goodbye and had a friend take out my stitches instead. I understand that sometimes doctors run late (and if I had not been told I would be the first patient seen after lunch, I would have expected a 15 – 20 minute wait as standard), but that’s something that’s easily known when I check in for my appointment and therefore should be told. When I am left my original expectations, I grow impatient knowing that they are not being met and my time is being wasted. If they were running late and I knew, I could have run late… Other than that, I’m healing well, although I will say the scar is worse than expected. Granted, I’ve been spoiled by having my previous surgeries done by plastic surgeons (even though they weren’t at all cosmetic… rather things like irregular moles), but yikes; I’m off to buy stock in cocoa butter as I write.
