SADNEWS, I just heard this toy and bookstore went out of business. This bookstore has been around for a VERYLONGTIME. When I was a little kid, I remember my auntie buying Korean magazines from this bookstore. Nobody really buys and reads books anymore. Also, nobody goes to the public library to borrow books anymore either. And Remember«Borders Bookstore?» They went out of business long time ago, and all that’s left is the Barnes & Nobles.

Love this store. Well curated. Helpful but not pushy. They even have a guy who explains and demos all the games.

I came here recently because I had to find a birthday present for a friend’s son(He was turning 5). They had a great assortment of toys and books as well. This store caters to the Korean community, so there were books in Korean, English, as well as books in both Korean and English. Many of the books taught lessons on diversity and acceptance, which I thought were great positive messages for children. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

This place is every little(and big) kid’s dream! When you enter, to your left you will see toys and other doodads from wall to wall, ceiling to floor. I literally could spend hours in there looking at all the cool things. They also have a section where you can try out some of their brain teasers and puzzles. A store clerk was there to offer help and guide the customers through the games. It’s a great place to stop by after eating at the cafeteria, or to buy fun gifts for your loved ones. I honestly can’t say much about the books cause I didn’t have enough time to meander through that section, but they have A LOT.

From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but is very well curated with some really fun toys and puzzles. Will definitely come back for all the many birthday parties my gradeschoolers attend.

We were in Los Angeles on vacation and stumbled upon this store. The shop keeper and young man working there were so pleasant and helpful. My 9 year old son loves puzzles and they spent a good amount of time playing different puzzles and games with him. They have a great selection and the prices were reasonable. You don’t get that type of attention or service in the big box stores. It was very refreshing! If I lived in the area, I would definitely be a regular there.

Looked online for nearby places that could potentially sell puzzles besides the standard Rubik’s Cube, and I was not disappointed. This place is like puzzle heaven with their assortment of puzzles, puzzle games, and jigsaw puzzles! On top of that the place is just full of neat little things to look at and try. The staff was also very approachable with questions and the service was nice; one of them started introducing puzzles to me and my friend and we were allowed to try them as well which helped figure out what games would actually be fun to play with our friends and family. The books were also really nice; they had geeky random books, child books, and more educational books and they were all interesting as well, so I’d definitely say this is a place to visit if you want to put a smile on your face and go home with some potential new brain-engaging stuff

You know you’re in a Korean toy store when you walk in and you see SAT prep books… We walked in here on a lark and spent the next TWOHOURS playing educational games. They’re just that addictive. The staff here are really knowledgeable about the games, and unlike most educational toy stores, these educational games are really fun and addictive! The games allow you to gradually progress from easy puzzles to super-difficult and impossible puzzles so that you feel like each puzzle is readily achievable with just a little bit of effort. Every time one of us finished a puzzle, or got tired of banging our head against the more impossible configurations, the staff asked us what type of genre we would like to challenge ourselves with, and then introduced us to a new, interesting game. I didn’t get a chance to peruse the books much, since we spent so much time playing games and challenging ourselves. But I wouldn’t be surprised if the books were equally as engaging as the educational games.

I can’t believe how well curated and approachable this store is. Filled with surprises and the highest of quality… and no video games. A true palace of play the staff is sweet and engaging and actually seems like they not only are fun to play with, they are good at it. Yes, good at playing. You have to come see and thrill. BTW, Bosco bakery is across the hall and their astounding array of pastry makes the delight complete.

If you are a parent and have been wondering if there is a toy store that sells toys/puzzles that are both educational and fun — like the ones a parent would fill their store with, this is the place. These items seem to be chosen conscientiously to what is fun and what parents may want to get their kids at the same time. It is like discovery kids but better choices and no corporate constrictions.

This store has so many random toys, puzzles, and games! The employees were funny and kept telling us about the different kinds of puzzles they sell. Apparently they get a lot of puzzle enthusiasts. I think this is a really good place to get gifts that are more unique and fun for people. They probably have something that could appeal to almost any audience you’re thinking of. A lot of the things are things people would want but wouldn’t think to buy for themselves — the best gift category! I definitely felt like it was overstaffed because we were the only two customers in the shop at the time and there were 3 employees. I could definitely see myself purchasing a lot of useless crap here if I weren’t living in an apartment that’s already too small for my things.

Really great place with super nice staff to buy unique, educational, high-quality toys for ALL ages! They’re now an official Lego dealer(the only in Koreatown!). They also continue to sell magazines and books as they have before.

Great place to swing by for some book and other educational materials for the son. Honestly this is the first time for us buying anything like this, so we don’t have comparisons. Judging by the American toys that we are familiar with, they have a decent selection, but pricing is a bit on the highe side then we’re used to.

You don’t need to understand Korean to enjoy the goodies at this bookstore. For you K-poppers, they sell magazines with your favorite hotties! Like Super Junior, Big Bang, Girls Generation. Located at the entrance :) For those who can read Korean, stroll inside and read up on the latest novels. Check out their website for what they’ve got: Conclusion: There’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy here! Mainly if you can read Korean.
