I always had Taeko cut my hair until I moved to NYC & now I struggle to get a good hair cut for under $ 100. I’ve seriously considered flying to LA every time I need a trim. Taeko knows just how to cut my fine hair so it looks its best. She’s given me great low & high maintenance styles over the years. She’s also great with color. Highly recommended!

Kyoko can cut, color, style and more. She is a professional hair stylist from Japan. Her experience are far superior than those fancy salons Hollywood Celebrities go to.

Kyoko at Janvier is great. I have straight black short hair and it’s hard to find a stylist who’s skilled, reasonably priced, punctual, and listens to what you want. With Kyoko, I always get the style I want and she cuts great (no hair sticking out at odd angles the next day). She’ll listen and offer you a very stylish cut. She’s also very gentle with washing your hair and the whole cutting process… sometimes I fall asleep at the chair because I’m so relaxed.
Prices are $ 43 for short and $ 50 for long hair. She also does color/​highlights but I haven’t tried it because I don’t color my hair.
There’s also on-​site manicure and pedicure but I haven’t tried that either.
Plus, it’s located in the Sawtelle Plaza next to Curry House and above Beard Papa and Nijiya Market. How can you beat that?!
Free parking underground if you tell the parking guy you’re there for the salon.
