Ingallina’s Box Lunch

The most awesomeness food. They delivered our six lunch boxes to the front door of the Hollywood bowl! Food fresh and delicious. Great idea to stop and eat with friends before the show. Will do again soon. Also will try to use them in our office.

Today my supervisor, ordered several box lunches to celebrate Nurses week. I got the turkey and avocado sandwich. My sandwich was delicious, tasted really fresh. The potatoe chips were perfect with the sandwich. My desert was a cookie, and I also got fresh fruit. We all got a small bottle of water which we prefered over a soft drink. All my co-​workers where very happy with their lunch boxes.

We used to order from this vendor all the time for our events and meeting. They are cheap and accepts last minute orders, so it was very convenient for busy office. Last week, I found bug in my salad. I will post the picture later. Since then, I have asked my staffs to avoid ordering from this place.

I had to write a review to let you all know how awesome I think this place is. Their food is always so fresh and uniquely tasty, the presentation of the food is nice when catering, and their boxed lunches come with everything you need to enjoy the lunch. I had a cobb salad today and it was soooo good! Five stars for their food. But today I was even more sold on them as a company because of their customer service.
I made several large orders, and there were quite a few last minute changes; however that happily accommodated us without being difficult, and I appreciated that so much because really it was our fault that the changes needed to be made.
If you want to order from this place personally or for corporate reasons, I highly recommend them. Five star for their service!

I have these guys deliver several birthday gifts for my friends and family, other occasions too. Presentation and customer service never fail to amaze! I’ve used their services in Portland and Seattle as well, same thing goes for all! I love being able to use a caterer long distance from where I live, and one that I can truly count on. Friends and family are always impressed and they eat up their baked goods in a heartbeat! I highly recommend them.

I recently chaired a luncheon for 25 people within my organization, all of whom were totally delighted with the food as well as the presentation. And Ingallina’s delivered… within the specified half-​hour window and at no aditional cost.
Also, prior to my placing the order (consisting of a choice between two kinds of sandwiches or a Cobb salad) they delivered samples of the chosen items… gratis!
I was very impressed, too, by the inclusions with each item on the menu — namely, freshly-​cut fruit, appropriate condiments, napkins and cutlery, a bottle of water, a delicious cookie for dessert and even a post-​meal mint and a toothpick!
Most important, of course, was the fact that the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!
All in all, a most positive experience. I would not hesitate to use and/​or recommend Ingallina’s for future events.

Tried these at an event. Salads, sandwiches, and baked goods were nicely prepared!

I was taken by surprise by Ingallina’s. First off, I didn’t know I’d be receiving a lunch… then it was this wonderful treat in a cardboard box surrounded by red tissue paper. Showed up to teach a workshop at UCLA and was treated to a lunch (luckily I got there early so I could enjoy it). Opted for the Tomato, Avocado, Mozzarella sandwich. When I opened the box everything was wrapped and placed nicely. Along with this sandwich on foccaccia with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, was a small bag of chips, a little bottle of Crystal Geyser, a fruit cup, and a cookie. The focaccia was awesome — loved the sandwich most of all. I also loved how nicely wrapped, organized, and fresh it was. The cookie, which I took home to share with my daughter later, was a hit with both of us. Peanut butter chocolate chip. Can’t beat that. If I ever need boxed lunches for events I know who to call.

We order catering from here for meetings all the time and it is extremely easy and efficient. Box lunches include all the components so you don’t have to think about making sure you have everything on the side. When you place the order they call to confirm everything and are extremely helpful. The delivery folks have always arrived right at the start of the delivery windows. The fruit platter is also really good and it’s really helpful that they have gluten free options.

they catered our work lunch. oh boy! they were super fresh and delish! not sure what the cost was, but highly recommend getting wraps which had fresh veggies and just right amount of sauce/​spread – perfect ratio, not too dry & not too saucy. the potato salad was a tad under-​seasoned though (needed a little more salt. however, i’d rather take under seasoned over salty).
would def. call them next time i need catering.

I have been receiving menus in the mail from this company for about 3 months now. I finally decided to place an order for our business that was having an audit on Friday. I ordered a variety of lunch boxes from the website. I ordered the premium boxes that come with a side of fruit not the value which come with no fruit. I asked for a specific delivery time between 10:15am and 10:45am. they have no delivery fee but in my area it is a minimum 100.00 order which is a value considering they are not close by. the website is easy to navigate and had plenty of pictures just like their mailer menu. I placed the order punched in my coupon code for one free lunch box and in less then five minutes I received a phone call at the office to confirm my order and information. I was immediately pleased with the service. Two days later at 10:30am they showed up just like I requested with a beautiful presentation of lunch boxes. The delivery person was pleasant and fast. I cannot begin to tell you how important this service is to me. Literally impeccable. For prices so great this is a rare find. Next is the lunch boxes themselves. WOW. Perfection. The packaging is so well done. Looks great and also is efficient at holding the food so everything is in tact and no squished. They deliver them at the perfect temperature and were just right at 12pm to eat. Everyone raved about how delish the simple little lunch boxes were. I personally ate a smoked turkey and Havarti sandwich and it was wonderful. The fruit was perfect and the cookie tasted home made. The boxes come with everything needed and was such a nice change to not have to worry about anything. Even down to the toothpick and mint for after. This company has my business for life. They truly care about there quality and the customer. I highly recommend this to business owners especially or anyone looking for any type of catering service that enjoys delish fresh food that’s simple and everyone can enjoy.

Really great, fresh healthy food delivered for free by smiley helpful people. We have tried the Mediterranean wrap, greek salad and a sampler platter. All were very yummy and a lot of food for the money. I highly recommend them.

Today, I was lucky to get a complimentary box lunch from Ingallina’s at a USC event. The presentation was great – a recyclable cardboard box jazzed up with color and a sticker to clearly identify the type of sandwich inside. I got the Amarillo Turkey Wrap, which inside came with a 12 oz. bottle of Crystal Geyser, a big cookie, a bag of chips, a packet of mayo and mustard, and a side of what I thought was spicy chipotle mayo (but really is just smoky barbecuey mayo – I guess I should remember Amarillo is in north Texas, not «Texico», and as such is the home to bbq not Tex-​Mex). As a sweet-​tooth, I was happy with the cookie as a dessert, though as a public health professional, although I applaud the water (versus soda), I question the chips and cookie as sides when better options like a small 4 oz. yogurt and/​or piece of fruit or fruit salad exist.
Going to the website, I read that these box lunches are ~$ 12.45, which isn’t bad considering the number of items in them. But, ironically the site said fruit WAS supposed to be included in addition to the cookie, chips and condiments, but this girl didn’t get her serving of fruit today via the box lunch and neither did my neighbors at the event. And, I would have loved a knife or other utensil to spread the bbq mayo.
As for flavor, I would say the sandwich itself was quite fresh but at the taste/​experience level of really only about 3 stars on its own. It’s a basic sandwich with nothing special about it – meat (4 slices), cheese (gratings), romaine, tomato, a few crumblings of bacon – on a beautiful green wrap. That said, if you add the bbq mayo, you get a little more bite, which brings the star-​rating up to about 3.5−4 stars.
Bottom line: Fresh and well-​packaged (though shifting from cellophane to something more earth-​friendly to wrap the sandwiches and cookie might be a good plan in all establishments – Portland, Seattle and California), but consumers should pay attention to what’s inside the box and heed the line between flavor and health. Ingallina’s claims to provide healthy boxed lunches that taste good for a fair price, but the devil is truly in the details.

My work gets catered by this place all the time. The wraps are pretty good. I think the best items are the salads and the desserts.
The salads are huge and there is plenty of tomatoes, turkey, cheese, olives, and other condiments. They don’t skimp and the lettuce is fresh.
The desserts are amazing. I’m not sure if they make their own or if they purchase them from somewhere. Their Christmas pastries, which I’m munching on right now, are phenomenal.

We have ordered Ingallina’s about 10x or so for our office. Birthdays or just whenever we want to feel special. Online ordering makes it very easy. There are sandwich/​salad selections for almost everyone. Prices can add up, choose wisely. The sandwich combos come delivered in a very nicely presented box with colored tissue paper. If they are running late, they will always call to let you know (even 5 minutes, we appreciated that!!!) Customer Service I great, they are always able to grant our special cookie requests, which may sound like nothing to some, but their cookies are YUM! If you have a small office meeting or want to celebrate something special, this will be a good option.

My work place was catered by Ingallina’s for our monthly staff meeting this past month. I tried the turkey sandwich box which came with a caesar salad.
The salad itself was probably the tiniest salad I have ever received. I was just surprised at its minuteness since lettuce itself is not really expensive and it just seemed like an odd place to cut corners.
Now onto the sandwich. The meat and toppings themselves were pretty tasty, but the bread was extremely dry and was topped with a mountain of mayonaise. Though I try to be healthy when I eat, I don’t mind a sandwich with a bit of mayonaise. However, this sandwich just proved to be a bit overkill with the topping. And the fact that the bread was so dry just made it not as tasty as it should have been.
Overall, I would probably rate this at 2.5 stars but I am just surprised to see it rated so highly by other Unilocal users since the sandwich I had did not really do it for me. Also I would never expect a box lunch to be that great, but I expected more from a place that specialized in them.
