Yumm Got the yooksoo bulgogi and it came with wulnam ssam, biji jjigae, gaeran jjim and jun. That is to say, Vietnamese rice rolls that you prepare yourself at the table, a kimchi and bean curd soup, souffled egg and veggie pancake. It was a whole lot of food for us two girls. That’s not even including all the small side dishes. The rolls come as rice paper which u dunk into the hot water enough so that its pliable then u fill it with julienned vegetables and the meat cooking on the griddle and finally top with hot sauce. Alternatively, you can eat the meat with boiled cabbage and dwenjang(bean paste) or wrapped in lettuce. It’s unlike any k bbq experience I’ve had. The service isn’t spectacular as it is a hole in the wall joint but I was too busy stuffing my face to really notice. There’s no lunch special on the weekends so come only if you are REALLY hungry.

Long time this place is known for yooksoo bulgogi (Beef bulgogi cooked with soup) To add on top of that when you order(minimum2orders) you also get vegetable wrap Vietnam style in rice paper You also get Korean pancake Sizzling steamed egg The white watered kimchee is a bomb! Topped with iced filled. You can just sip it from the bowl The waitress is super nice and I guess we came past usual dinner time so she had her eyes on us if we called her she’d appear promptly After when we were finished with our beef we asked to mix the rice and she cooked it so well I front of us at our table and we all killed it.

The hot pot here actually is Korean bibimbap, I thought it was Chinese hot pot. Anyway it tastes delicious.

The yooksoo bulgogi was so good. We chose the Vietnamese style rice paper wraps. The bulgogi wraps were really delicious. The sauce they give you with it goes so well with the food. 2 servings was more than enough for 3! The side dishes were good. And the service was good. I believe our check total for 2 servings was about $ 60.

The owner wiped our dishes with a rag that was stained with kimchi sauce. Totally gross! Also, there was a booger looking thing on the back of the spoons. And the food was very girly. Warning!!! I recently found that this place took $ 12 more dollars than we actually ordered. Although I think this was unintentional, always check your receipt!!!

Been coming here since I was a kid so this is the old school spot. We usually get the Bulgogi meat with the broth thing and/or combo for four people. The other day when I brought my uncle here we had the Bulgogi, spicy shrimp stirfry thing and came with sides such as kimchee, rice paper/veggies to eat with the beef, veggie pancake, water kimchee(which isn’t spicy), steamed cabbage for wrapping meat, green beans with chili paste, potatoes, etc. The service was good, the server would come quite often to refill water and give us drinks.

I love discovering new Korean eats! I came here with 2 other people(they’re my precious food lover buddies), and we had a blaaaaaast. The food is awesome! So this place is known for their yooksoo bulgogi aka bulgogi cookin in broth. And they provide all the stuff you need to make your own spring rolls! For the 3 of us, I think we ordered 2 portions, along with a bibimbap to share. There was plenty of food and it was nice cos you get all these sides and soups, and I love having a variety of dishes to eat! As usual, you get your array of banchan(kimchi, bean sprouts, etc. I feel like they give you more than usual lol), some refreshing cabbage soup(??), fluffy steamed egg in a stone pot, bean curd soup(I think), some peppers, bean paste, lettuce and cabbage and shit, THEMOSTDELICIOUSPAJEON(green onion pancake), and a bunch of shredded veggies(carrots, cucumbers, onions, purps/regs cabbage, cilantro, etc.) for your spring rolling needs. Comes with spring roll papers and some hot/chili sauces and stuff. First off, that bibimbap was friggen delicious. I like when it’s got a bit of crust to the rice, adds a nice bit of texture. Flavor was spot on, don’t forget to mix the sauce in! Now to the main event! The bulgogi is cooking in the most deliciousssssss broth in front of ya, and they’re sliced thinly so it doesn’t really take long. The broth itself has a light flavor and slightly sweet and jammed up with onions — the usual bulgogi flavors but not as concentrated. So after your meat is done cooking, it’s time to build your spring rolls! We also got a couple bowls of rice to eat our meats with. Either way you eat it, it’s super bomb. The meat is so tender and flavorful mmmmmmmmmmmm. I like to stuff my spring rolls with some juicy meats, cabbage, onions, cilantro, hot sauce, and maaaaybe a bit of rice if I’m feelin crazy. Honestly anyway you do it, it’s gonna be bomb. Also towards the end of your meal, you can get some glass noodles(or I believe you can also get porridge? We didn’t though) dumped into your broth. SOBOMB! I love it!!! Basically you eat a ton of meat and veggies and finish up with a nice bowl of soupy noodles. Alright so now I’m totally craving this again… must go back!

Came here with the inlaws for dinner one night. They are pretty health conscious and this meal was the perfect choice. We ordered the $ 65(yook soo bulgogi — bulbogi in broth) combo. It comes with a 2 person serving of the main dish, rice paper wraps & veggies to make spring rolls with the main dish, a seafood main dish, stew, 1 soju /beer, rice porridge made from the broth of the main entrée /glass noodle /and steamed egg. We were so full that both parties took home a doggy bag. The dish comes out in a round pan. The outside rim is hollowed for the beef broth. The beef is mixed with squash and onions and is cooked in the broth. The rice porridge made from the broth of the main entrée /glass noodle you have to ask for one or the other. If you ask for both the get pretty annoyed. I don’t know if they charge is extra though. The rice porridge is a mix of rice, seaweed, sesame oil, and fermented radish. Clean eats and huge portions.

First time coming here and came with a large group of people. The atmosphere was fun and lively as everyone seemed to enjoy their food as they were cooking it on the stoves. We waited for a little while to be seated because we did have a party of 14 and they did great trying to accommodate us. Once we were seated our food came out right away and we started cooking the meats on the grill/stove. It was a lot of fun and we were able to get the all you can eat deal for 9.99 which was well worth it. The only downer if any was my friend who is vegetarian didn’t eat anything, she just cooked for everyone and did a rather fantastic job. Although she didn’t eat she still had to pay because she was apart of the group. That’s probably normally wherever you go though The staff was wonderful and most pleasant. One comment I would like to make though is as I left I saw this establishment did receive a B rating with the health department. That is something I find rather important in any matter when serving frozen food that your guests must cook themselves. Enjoy! Got to run, time to cook my food! XOXO

I tried their boolgogi with my friends. I went to the place around 8:30 at night and seemed like the place wasn‘t that crowded. But it took them so much time to take the order, give us the banchan(side dishes, and the actual boolgogi. The reason behind that was because there was only two servers and one cook who seemed like was making all the orders. The boolgogi comes with thr rice paper, and some slicrd vegetables such as cucumber, sprouts, lettus, and some cilantros. After the boolgogi, make sure you ask the server to give the noodle which they put it in the boolgogi soup later. Overall, the food is ok but the servers were little bit rude(but there were only two servers so I understand) *Bonus tip=they don‘t like you if you guys split the check by paying with the credit cards!

After a couple years, I have finally tried Hwang hae do and their famous yuksoo bulgogi jungol. Lots and lots of food given here for the yuksoo bulgogi. My friend and I ordered the ayce yuksoo bulgogi for $ 18.99 and received so much food that we were overwhelmed with what to try first(ie. potatoe pajeon, steamed egg, various veggies and banchan, ssam, kimchi soup). The bulgogi itself is thinly sliced and well seasoned, it comes in a giant plate with sliced onion and squash. I love the concept of mixing Vietnamese spring rolls with Korean BBQ. Oddly, it works. The hot sauce provided is delicious and tastes homemade. We ate for 3 hours(pwn’d it) and received pretty excellent service as well. Will definitely bring family and friends here to try other menu items. Free parking in the lot before 6pm it seems!

Stumbled upon this place looking for something near Larchmont. The hole in a wall strip mall caught me off guard, but there is valet, so I decided to give it a try. Our waitress was excellent and guided us through everything. KBBQ EXCELLENT! Ordered the #1 all you can eat. Comes with more than 15 sides and fixings. My favorite part is the rice paper.

I am torn between 3 or 4 stars. I didn’t like the service at all in the beginning. It was an extremely busy restaurant that it took a while for someone to even acknowledge our presence. They said the wait would be about 20 minutes. Ten minutes later when a table opened up, they could have seated us if they just re-arranged some chairs, but they didn’t. I can tell a lot of regulars come to this place because they all seemed to know the waitress who stopped often to talk to customers. This is definitely something special about the restaurant so they can establish a loyal customer base. However, for customers who are new like me, I felt a little neglected. Finally we were seated. Some of the plates aren’t clean and we had to ask for new ones. Since I am not Korean, I couldn’t read most of the menu so my family basically had to wait for the waitress to come explain what each item is. Her English wasn’t so good so we just settled with whatever we understood from the conversation. We went with the combo for 5 – 6 people which included KBBQ and seafood stew. As for the actual food, the BBQ was amazing! They provided so many side dishes like sauces to dip the meat in, lettuce and rice paper to wrap the meat, white rice etc. It was a TON of food, even with 7 people, we couldn’t finish all the meat. There was a variety of meat like bulgogi, beef of many types, chicken etc. The waitress was very accomodating as well and came back often to cut the meat for us, show us how to grill, and even put the grilled meat on our plates for us. So the initial service wasn’t great but after you start eating, they are basically like a korean family who invited you to dinner at their house. However, the seafood stew was actually pretty bad. It tasted overwhelmingly of fish and was a mess of way too many things. We didn’t really touch that. Overall, don’t expect restaurant service. Treat this place like someone’s house so do things yourself. Get the KBBQ, not the seafood stew.

The service is here is great — everyone is friendly and very attentive. The food was also good, especially the pancakes and the spicy pork. The reason for the two stars is that we really wanted bulgogi, and they only had an all you can eat option — which is fine, except that since there were two of us(my wife and I), they would only serve the bulgogi if both of us ordered it. We didn’t want that because it would be too much food for us and we wanted to try some of the other meats. We just wanted to order one order of bulgogi and one order of pork, but they were unable to do that, so we had to order an extra order of bulgogi and spend an extra $ 17 for no real reason. Pretty lame and frustrating.

Ok first off this place is the tits. We walked in not really knowing what we were getting into. Sam, our server immediately came over and helped us out. For those who had never been to Korean BBQ at our table he explained every single side, brought over forks, and included a jug of water for our friend. All four of us ordered the all you can eat with pork belly, brisket, bulgolgi, and chicken. Everything was delicious. Sam was extremely attentive and kept bringing over more side dishes and meat every time we ran out. He also offered to cook our meat for us. The Korean pancake was also to die for. Basically I would come to this place all the time if I had as large of an appetite as the guys I went with. It’s amazing and we’ll for sure be back.

I’ve never had such a great kbbq experience. Girlfriend and I love up the street and were craving some good old bulgogi. Wandered into to this place. As daunting as it was, it was very welcoming and were seated fairly quickly. Place is older and is obviously outfitted for less tables than there is space for. As a matter of fact they had to add a table top cooker for us. Anyway, here comes the banchan. I was incredibly surprised, I usually have to request for stuff, but not this time. I honestly got more than I could handle. I want to say it was about a dozen or so different dishes. It seriously barely fit in our table. The cut and flavor of the meat was nothing out of this world, but I definitely felt it was above your average«10.99 ayce» place. We had a wonderful older Korean server at first and then it turned over to Sam. His service was impeccable and he struck up conversation with us about what their more popular and tastier dishes are. As of now, I’m impressed by the kbbq experience and banchan offerings. I can’t wait to go back and try the specialties.

Delicious! Friends and I came here for a Sunday dunch/linner and everything was very tasty. We got the dolsot bibimbap, kimchi jigae, pork bossam, fried dumplings and bulgogi. As service starters, we got steamed egg and scallion pancakes. Everything was very tasty and we all took home some leftovers. All the banchans are good here as well. Service is typical of Korean restaurants.

This small restaurant hidden in a tiny strip mall looks plain and feels like a hole in the wall, but don’t be fooled. Delicious Korean food– absolutely loved the yooksoo bulgogi! First time trying and I am hooked! At the end, they throw in some noodles– mix that with the flavorful broth and you have yourself one comforting and tasty as hell dish! They also have this jalapeño/garlic/radish pickled item that goes well with just about everything. Nice spread of banchan, good vegetable pancake, and this pretty awesome pork rib dish. Parking sucks here but this tiny strip mall does offer valet for $ 2 and it’s worth it. If you are looking for something different than the usual kbbq, try this place out!
