After reading everyone else’s review I will say this: NOT A SCAM. I’ll repeat. This agency is NOT a scam although it’s really kind of lame. It’s mainly audience work for tv shows like Late Night with whoever or tv shows like The View. That’s not really what I thought I was signing up for. In an entire year I only made it to one actual tv set filming location… LAME…they should not be called hollywood extras. It should be called audience extras One perk is you don’t have to call into a verbally posting hotline. You pretty much forget about them and they text you when they need you. Sometimes it’s a rush call so be prepared.

I «joined» in January ’11 by paying my ILLEGAL $ 20 photo fee. I waited several weeks to be sent out… and was never called. I complained… and was sent info on a job that I had already booked myself on. I went back to get my promised refund… and the manager was suddenly not in the office. THESEGUYSARESCUM… RUN!

From 19 th to 6th of next month after a job they sent me to work but no payment has come in I spent 25 $ in gas and could have done work elsewhere now about to be behind on bills because of no payment I am furious and feel like this is giving me unnessary stress and discomfort that will not be resolved no answer on they’re phone no response about payment just more advertisement for jobs without being paid for previous work I feel like raising hell and going completely crazy because I already have temper issues with anger management and this is making it impossible for me to want to stay calm I’m not trying to threat I am a nice person but I usually work for a little enough pay but to not be paid even a small amount is absurd incredible not working ever again because for these people because its tardiness. Oh and don’t be late to there at they’re expense because they won’t pay you for tardiness or maybe not at all!

Well… If you’re really looking for consistent background work, this isn’t the way to go. I signed up over a year ago and while I do still get texts about work, they are few and far between. Also, its basically just audience work. I’ve yet to receive a gig(through HEC) that was for a movie or actual tv show. But if you’re just looking to get paid(8/hr usually) to sit in the audience for a talk or game show occasionally, it works. It’s true, you do make back the $ 30 fee within your first gig(which I booked within 48hours of signing up). Most gigs pay out about 30−50… which is essentially a tank of gas. It’s not a scam per say, its just not the best option out there.
