I just recently moved to the area and work around here too. After work yesterday, I was in desperate need of a blow out cause my friend asked me to go out last minute! So, I remember driving by here a couple of times. Anyways, I go in and see Nancy. Just my luck, she was finishing up with another customer and was able to take me. It was $ 30 bucks for me. I think she based the price on my hair (medium length and a lot of it lol). Wasn’t super cheap but I called another place and it was $ 50, so it could be a lot worse.
She was nice and did a great job! Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this place! I went there a few months ago first for eyebrow threading (which was awesome too), but this review is mainly for the haircut.
I found a deal on groupon for a haircut and deep condition. My hair is really long and I’ve admittedly been neglecting it. The ends were pretty horribly damaged, and my hair texture (curly) lends itself to getting knotted really easily. Not only did Nancy manage to deep condition my hair to make it soft and detangled, she also cut it in a way that it naturally falls perfectly wavy without getting super knotted! I’m really impressed! Even though the cut is starting to grow out, I still get tons of compliments.

Went in today because there was a big 50% sign in the window, was my first time visiting and was thrilled to see great options for false eyelashes and a hair crimper for my wig. I asked if everything was 50% off or just a certain section and the lady at the register literally SCREAMED at me, of course not EVERYTHING was on sale! I said time to go, and walked out. Never again. Not sure how this place is still in business.

This was the WORST hair experience I have ever had. I went in excited to get a new do and was told by Nancy that what I wanted wouldn’t look good on me… ouch. Not in the «I care about what you look like and wouldn’t advise that as a professional» way but in a «I am rolling my eyes because that is going to be a lot of work» way. I wish I would have walked out right then but the optimist in me kept me there. The whole time Nancy was watching «Everybody Loves Raymond» while putting in my foils, and was clearly annoyed that I was asking her to do full foil highlights. She took out my foils, roughly washed them out and told me it was going to be double what we originally talked about because I had a lot of hair. I looked in the mirror and had TIGER STRIPES!!! It was the awful. I reluctantly paid her and left with sopping wet hair. I walked straight into another hair salon and the stylist gasped at my orange Tony the Tiger head of hair.

Nancy did a great job cleaning up my hair and blending in my layers and bangs. I’ve gone to several places for routine cuts and am usually disappointed by how it looks and feels a couple of days later. I work outside daily so I need my hair to feel healthy but I also don’t want to spend $ 75+ every time I need it. Glad I came here.

Nancy is really amazing. I called her at the last minute to do a cut and a full highlights. She did an awesome job and did exactly what I wanted. Other places would have charged me double. Affordable, no-​nonsense and great work — exactly what I was looking for!

I went in for a deep condition, trim and blow dry. Nancy was warm, friendly and gave me a great cut at a very reasonable price. Also the location is super convenient.

I found Nancy through groupon. She did a great job cutting my curly hair into a shorter look. I’ve received many compliments so far and am thrilled she’s in the neighborhood.
I also donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths (anything 8″ and longer) for women with cancer.

Read good reviews about Nancy and I’ve never had threading done in my life so decided to give it a try. Nancy was sweet and charged me $ 10 to remove hair from chin area. She continued to offer this price a few times for me when I went to her. Then she raised it to $ 15. When I asked her why the price jump? She replied that was just a special for me and she no longer offers it. Hmmmm. Great job with the treading but might have to go someplace else. I don’t like sudden price increases without warning.

Nancy rocks! I only get my eyebrows threaded, waxing is not an option. For ten bucks Nancy creates gorgeous shapes on my face, she’s very skilled with making facial hair look stunning. I’ve been to many threaders in my day, she’s on top of her game.

I have been getting my brows threaded by Nancy for two years now and she is nothing short of wonderful. Not only does she do a great job, but she is sweet, smart and funny. I used to dread getting my brows done but Nancy makes it fun. I travel a great deal and often don’t have time to make a reservation. Nancy is always super helpful and accommodating and immediately puts me at ease. I have also bought a number of beauty supplies there and I think they have a terrific selection with great prices. I can’t recommend it more highly!

I only trust Nancy with my eyebrows and let me tell you, she does an excellent job threading them. Been going here for years and don’t plan on stopping. :)

I have been going to Nancy for threading for more than 3 years now. I can not sing her praises high enough. She has whipped my brows into shape, literally, and they always look PERFECT. Her expert level skills make her SUCH a value, for her very moderately priced services.
I would recommend Nancy to anyone looking for quality beauty services and supplies at a reasonable price. She is sweet, funny and very quick. She’ll have you in and out of her chair in a timely manner and looking flawless.

i have bright pink hair and this is the only shop in the area that consistently carries my color: special effect’s atomic pink.
it’s a tiny shop that’s a bit cluttered inside and the owner keeps all the semi-​permanent hair color behind the register but she’s got a huge selection of special effects (my favorite) and manic panic, if that’s what you’re looking for. the prices are also great with no steep markup– one bottle of atomic pink only cost me $ 12.99! if you look for special effects online, average prices range from $ 11 + shipping costs ($ 3 – 4) to $ 14-​$ 15 with free shipping.
i’m not sure about the rest of the selection but i did notice that she also carries all the supplies you’d need to bleach your hair (powder lightener, cream/​liquid developer, protein fillers, etc…) at competitive prices.

I’ve known Nancy ever since she started about 15 years ago. Great place to get your hair done, fair prices too. Anyone in the Hollywood area go here! They do it all!

They don’t post their business hours and when I called to see what time they closed, I was told between 5:30 and 6:00. Sounded fair. I arrive at 5:30 and the woman was closing the door. When I mentioned that I called she said «well, you didn’t talk to me I never answered the phone». I asked again, what time do you close? She replies 6:00. I say, it’s 5:30? You just told me you didn’t close until 6? She locks the door in front of me and says, my daughter has homework.
That I understand and i respect that her daughter has homework. But your running a business. I spent my $ 60.00 elsewhere.
Shady, that’s the best way to describe it.

This place is FANTASTIC! Amazing threading — quick and precise. I called ahead by an hour and made an apt… but you could walk in as well. Great value as well. Nancy is very pleasant and I will go back to see her.

Went in today to pick up some red hair color. I have my hair professionally done but often will do a touch up and add color to my deep conditioner to keep the red fresh.
I walked in and no one was around. The place is super small and cluttered. I walked about 10 steps and was at the back where a lady popped out a door. I asked for my brand and she waved me off saying, «Behind counter, you go browse, then I help you.» I went to the counter, which had a gigantic make up display on it blocking any view of the dyes. Either way I am a red head, I know my color. It is not like I am some 20 year old with horrible roots and a bad dye job and entertain myself with this weeks color. I know what I need and it would involve buying 4 colors and spending at least $ 50.
I waited, and waited and waited and no one ever came out to help me.
Even though this place is walking distance from my house, I will never go there again. I usually drive to La Canada to an adorable place that has a huge selection, wonderful staff and always gives out samples of the new products. I will keep giving them my business and drive the 20 to do it. Screw these people!

I live in NYC as well as an occasional few months in LA and am used to my $ 9 threading place on the Upper West Side, didn’t want to try some crazy place in a mall in Glendale, wanted to find a little neighbourhood place that would remember me and here it is… lovely Iranian lady did a great job, not too thin, got all the little baby hairs and finished off with tweezers and scissors… even better than my NYC place and only $ 3 more. They don’t say that they do threading anywhere on the outside of the place, that I could see, but just call and make an appointment.
