Hi Fashions of California

By far, this is the best store for evening wear in downtown. My girlfriend used to insist on going to Noël for all her evening dresses without checking other stores (because honestly, there is a lot of junk when it comes to evening wear in Los Angeles. We then stumbled upon this store and were both VERY impressed with the selection. THey carry dresses by french designer «Alyce design» for a fraction of the price. Since discovering this place, we have yet to return to Noël due to the quality and prices Hi Fashions has to offer. It takes a lot for me to write a review (either really good or really bad service) and the reason I was motivated to write this review is because the service we’ve been getting from Hi Fashions is amazing. Even though my girlfriend has only purchased evening dresses on 3 different occasions, the owner, Paul recognizes us and greets us with a smile. He is so genuine, heartwarming and friendly. Even though Paul was dealing with a big time wholesale buyer from another country, he took a minute to greet us. My lady has only bought dresses for formal occasions like weddings but they have a great selection of dresses for different occasions like quinceanera’s (poofy dresses) as well. While I was there, there was also a lady buying5 dresses for her brides maids.
Downtown has way too much junk. Save time and just go directly to Hi Fashions. We have been up and down the fashion district and honestly, other than Hi Fashions, it’s all cheap trash.
Oh and they also sell fur coats/​shawls/​capes/​vests etc… for what i’m told is below wholesale prices. The wholesale lady that was there from another country was buying a ton for her store. She was telling me it’s all top quality (from Finland & Denmark) and a lot of top boutiques take Hi Fashions coats, put their own label on it then re-​sell them for way more. WHy she would tell me this? i’m guessing because she’s from another country and doesn’t care?
Really enjoy this store, the selection, the prices and the hospitality/​service.
