i love love Heritage 1981, especially their bottoms — jeans, skirts, shorts. Even when I shop at an F21, I always find things l like in the Heritage department. so I thought I would love Heritage 1981 the store even more. But then, perhaps my expectations were too high as I feel like its a lot of the same thing season after season and while I usually find things to buy there, I sometimes get a little bored. Perhaps that’s the F21 customer in me. Plus, the real downer is the service as I’ve found that its not often above par and that is a must for me. Even if the jeans are only $ 26.90.

I may or may not have bought a snood.* Okay, it’s not a snood.* It’s just a wrap with a hoodie on it.* With drawstrings that end in pom poms. It’s not a snood.* Damnit, I think I caved into a trend. So, yeah, I’m going to someplace cold soon and I needed some warmer gear. I walked in because the gay boyfriend thought he saw something in the window(although he looked fab in the plasticy leatherish bomber jacket, he decided to pass on it). I however, not only bought the $ 17 knit snood but I also grabbed up a scarf that matches one of my new hats. For a Forever 21 owned store, the vibe is definitely different. It’s like they studied Abercrombie/Hollister and came up with their version. Except the clothes are still a hell of a lot trendier and not so much as «rumpled All American polos.» That scarf was $ 9 but looks like it could go for triple the price elsewhere. I did not buy a snood. It’s just a scarf with a hood. Um. *Scarf + hood = snood Damnit!

I love this place. It’s like Forever XXI and American Eagle had a baby. It’s faux hipster casual beach type wear at low low costs. Great for someone like me who runs through wardrobes like I’m running a 50 yard dash every season. What can I say, I get bored fairly easily. That and it’s usually helpful to be able to stay incognito from time to time. I like their vintage looking tees especially. They carry both men and women’s lines so I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to buy tee shirts to lounge around in and doesn’t want to pay 50 bucks a pop.
