I’m a fan of the Spicy Pork Belly. They give enough to share with another person and also plenty of sides including rice and pickled veggies. The meal comes sizzling and hot and it’s a great buy for the $ 10.99 price. They do have other more expensive meals, but I come here exclusively to get my fix on the pork bbq. I wasn’t a big fan of their beef broth soups; I tried 2 so far. I think it might just be might be my taste in soups because they’re still flavorful. I just didn’t like a taste of shellfish and meet in their broth. Maybe next time I’ll try the mushroom soup which one of their more popular plates. They are not 24 hours anymore. I think they close this place around 10 or 11pm. It’s a fairly small spot, but the service is great. Definitely recommend for a quick late night. Only down side of this place is the all Korean menu, but it has pictures to hep you decided. The waitresses do not speak English very well, and the first time I just decided what to order based off Unilocal picture and their menu pictures. Definitely recommend.

This place is known for its goat meat stew, it’s OK but not that good. I had the short rib vegetable stew, and, sadly, it sucked. Although my stew had three large pieces of bone-in short ribs, the meat was clearly beyond its expiration date and tasted funky.

What does the name mean? HANBANG means«oriental medicine.» BOYANGTANG means«invigorating soup.» Came here on New Years Eve. Open 24 hours. Ate the goat stew, which came with enoki mushrooms and water parsley. I’m 99% vegetarian so I was happy to eat the boiled veggies while my party people enjoyed the goat. I couldn’t help but try the goat. Yumminess! Up close and personal with GOATSTEW: Check out my tabletop: If you like Korean soup, this place is for you. If you like banchan(Korean sidedishes) go elsewhere. They serve some kimchi and bean sprouts, but sidedishes are minimal here. If you’re feeling weak and need some revitalization, go to Hanbang Boyangtang!
