I want to like Grey Goose. And the truth is, they do good work. So maybe that’s enough.
But they don’t call, don’t answer the phone, don’t finish when promised (or the next promise… or the next promise), and don’t really apologize for any of it.
I’ve had VERY expensive artwork put in VERY expensive frames. Each project has involved returns, missed deadlines, complaints, and corrections.
To their credit, when things finally get done, they look just great. Their recommendations are spot on and their finished product is well crafted.
But getting there is much, much harder than it should be for a… picture frame. Especially a fairly pricey frame. Especially a pricey frame from a small shop that claims to pride itself on customer service.

You would think being on Hillhurst this place would be pricey but I paid a lot less than what Aaron Brothers quoted me at to frame a huge x30 by x45 map. Jaime is very knowledgeable and sweet as pie! I would go back just to give him my business!

Jamie did an amazing job of framing two art pieces for me. He was patient and helpful while helping me pick the right matting and frames. He remembered my name when I came in to pick them up, his friendliness alone is enough to come back!

I really like this place. Jaime is friendly and helpful. We’ve had multiple things framed here and he did a beautiful job on every one. They’re not the cheapest, but they have a great selection and are pleasant to deal with.

I have been going to this store for years anytime I need something framed. I have always found the personnel friendly and helpful. They always do a good job and the frames are done in a reasonable time. The prices are reasonable. I think you can find cheaper but I appreciate the fact that the staff are actually knowledgeable about framing and provide good advice. However, perplexingly, given they deal with art and posters etc., they have a terrible and outdated website which is not helpful. Despite the lack of a good website (it would be nice to check out options and prices before going in). I definitely recommend this place when you need something framed.

It would be nice for a local business to answer their phone, especially since the wait time to get something back from them can often be weeks and weeks and they are closed on Sundays and Mondays for some reason. I guess I wont be using their services anymore since they make everything so difficult.

Although their phone was busy all day, I decided to take a chance and stopped by to be told that they were closing early for the day. Ugh. I’m thinking this place is not worth the hassle.
