Went here for the 2nd time. The food is good. But The Portions they give U are small for the price if U ask me. Went here on Valentines Day & the wait time 2 be seated wasn’t that bad, 10 minutes. But then again, it was in the afternoon so who knows. The Waitress Was Good. My way in determining that is by these 2 things… 1. Did They Ask Me for a refill? 2. Did they come by the table atleast once to ask«Is everything OK? If the answer is No To both, then the Waiter service was bad I’m my opinion. It’s a Popular place so ur probably more likely 2 see a Celebrity on any given night. I give it 4 stars

A really fantastic upscale version of The Cheesecake Factory. Nice ambiance. Great food. Perfect location. Great place to celebrate birthdays. Thanks to greed and politics this place in the top restaurant choices in L.A. is now a distant memory. Thank God for other locations in Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, New York State and Florida. I hope they bring the Grand Lux back to California soon but only time will tell. Thanks for the memories.

Just your regular chain restaurant. I came here for take out and didn’t have any issues ordering my food. I had the shrimp pasta which still tasted good even after I got to my hotel room. The shrimps were decent sized and the take out order as a whole kept me full. The order looks small, but it really isn’t. Decently priced, this isn’t going to be your bargain lunch. If you’re looking for a decent place to grab lunch and chat, this is the place to go!

First time back since Dine LA a few years ago. I had really high expectations since I really enjoyed the Dina LA experience over here. The server was awesome and really caring and brought us things whenever we needed it. What disapointed me was the amount of food that was given. From my Dine LA experience, I remember humongous and generous portions. My order came with about 4 potato wedges, about two shrimps and a small piece of fish in a large bowl. It didn’t really fill me up and I had to rely on some friend’s food to fill me up. Food was a bit salty but tasted pretty good. Also, we had a party of 13 and they would not sit us until we had 8 people. When we had 9 people, they still didn’t sit us…

Your Cheesecake Factory’s loving cousin, this spot is located adjacent to a mall. We made reservations but the place wasn’t that packed when we arrived around 7:30pm on a Friday. What we swallowed: BUFFALOCHICKENBITES: These were pretty good. Not greasy and had just the right amount of breading. POTROASTCHEESEFRIES: We were craving some type of smothered french fry-y goodness so these topped it. Even tho these were a small plate, they were very filling on it’s own. The pot roast had a good flavor and the cheese wasn’t overwhelming. Very tasty dish but definitely share if you don’t want to spoil your appetite. MISOSALMON: This is my favorite dish at the Cheesecake Factory so we decided to order it here and change out the brown rice. The brown rice was a bit hard and the salmon tasted a bit sweet/burnt on the edges… and what was up with all these veggies? Not that I minded the veggies but they gave a bit of veggie flavor to the fish that took away from the miso flavoring. It was a good dish but not like I remember it being served at the CF so I was disappointed. FISHANDCHIPS: This had to be my favorite dish of the meals(and this was someone else’s dish that I was picking off of!). The fish was warm and flakey, the batter was not too greasy or thick, and the chips were on point. Very good dish. ROASTEDPINEAPPLEUPSIDEDOWNCAKE: This was a divine dessert. The pineapples were roasted perfectly and the cake was super moist. Just delicious. BEIGNETS: HOWCANYOUGOWRONGWITHTHESE? They were perfectly fried pillows, not greasy at all, topped with mounds of powdered sugar. They were awesome by themselves but much to our delight, were served with three different dipping sauces that were so delicious! This place was alright. The desserts were definitely better than the main dishes. Our server was very helpful and attentive. I’d come back just for the Fish and Chips and beignets alone.

This place feels like a Cheesecake Factory: the presentation, ambiance, etc. Even though the portions & price are also quite similar, the food they serve’re quite different. Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Jambalaya($ 17.95) — Sauteed with Peppers, Onions and Tasso in a Delicious Spicy Sauce; Served with White Rice. This dish is quite delicious. They put the right amount of spice and pepper into this dish. The portion size’s really good for $ 18 and they definitely don’t skimp out on the shrimp & chicken either. **3 ½ stars** New Orleans Beignets($ 7.95) — Served warm with 3 Sauces. The beignets’re freaking awesome. They’re fresh out of the fryer(have to be ordered 30 mins in advance), so warm, so good!!! They also feel light, they don’t feel too heavy or greasy whatsoever. The 3 sauces that come with them’re: Chocolate, Strawberry & Custard — All bloody delicious. **4 ½ stars** Overall — Food’s pretty delicious, portion size’s great & very acceptable price. Service’s great, the guy’s very funny, patient & friendly. Don’t forget those heavenly Beignets!!!

I only know of the Grand Lux Café on Michigan Ave in Chicago, IL which is extremely popular. This Grand Lux is attached to the all famous Beverly Center. HUGE menu — with an extremely wide section of food, drinks, and desserts. Lunch special are served until 5pm — for cheaper prices. If you don’t mind smaller portions I would recommend ordering from there. I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad which came with sliced chicken breast, crisp wontons, rice noodles, lettuce, green onions, and roasted almonds. It was a standard salad but I appreciated the generous amount of chicken. My bf ordered the Grand Lux Turkey Burger — which was ground turkey patty topped with mushrooms and argula. He took one bite and all the cheese just came oozing out. It was like a turkey melt and looked like one since it came out in a baguette. I appreciated the red onion jam — made me miss Thanksgiving meals! Beautiful décor, high ceilings, and lots of big screen TVs in the bar. Unfortunately our server was in training and someone was always watching over her. She forgot various things and interrupted our meal quite a bit. Otherwise, I had a nice lunch. The food wasn’t spectacular(especially for the price) but I would definitely come back again.

This is actually my first time at the Grand Lux Café at the Beverly Center. I’ve been to the one in Vegas a few time. It’s an upscale version of Cheesecake Factory which I actually like more because they have better selection of food and great desserts. Also the décor and architecture is very beautiful. Everything looks luxurious yet the atmosphere is casual. Prices are reasonable and good portions(same as Cheesecake Factory). Because it’s located in the Beverly shopping center, there is plenty of parking in the garage($ 1 per hour). Lunch is usually busy and crowded, but today wasn’t to bad. My only complaint was that the front hostess seated us in the bar area instead of the main dining section. She didn’t even asked us if we wanted to sit at the dining booth area. How rude! After complaining to her and waiting another 10 minutes, she finally seated us in the main dining area. Our waiter was very friendly and provided excellent service. Our drinks and bread were immediately served to us. For cocktails, I ordered a pear martini which is incredibly good. Mixed with Absolut vanilla vodka, passion fruit, pear and sake. Nice fruity pear flavor and lots of alcohol(strong) makes a great start to any meal. For the main course, we ordered the Pasta Pomodoro and Rib Eye steak. The pasta was sautéed in organic heirloom cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, parmesan cheese and a tomatoes sauce. It was cooked perfectly al dente and delicious. The steak was cooked medium and tender. Although it was tasty, it was small and wasn’t juicy. I probably wouldn’t order this again and try the Maui Rib Eye instead on my next visit. I also had a small Polynesian Asian salad which was new to the menu and recommended by our waiter. The freshness of the tropical salad and apricot-pineapple vinaigrette was amazing. For dessert and something I’ve been wanting to try for a long time was their beignets(small round powdered donuts) served with 3 dipping sauce — chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. It takes about 12 – 15 minutes, but definitely worth the wait. The beignets were fantastic. Texture was light and not dense or heavy. The dipping sauce was a perfect compliment to the beignets so scrumptious and tasty. Best beignets I’ve had outside of New Orleans. This alone is worth coming back for. Make sure to order it in the middle of your meal so you don’t have to wait. Overall — It’s a winner! Great food, awesome service and luxurious atmosphere. The mishap with the seating at the bar reduces them down to 4 star, instead 5.
