I used to shop here pretty regularly, but I recently got burned when an item I bought was defective and they refused to accept a return or exchange because I had opened it. They were willing to screw over a loyal customer over a $ 1.00 item. Won’t be shopping here again.

Beware of their cashier fraud! Ive caught them 5 times already with their cashiers trying to overcharge me for an additional 1 – 3 items that I didnt purchase. They tried to overcharge me about $ 3.00+ last time where they didnt know that I was testing them out since I already had done the math before heading to the cashier. The cashier lady tried to fool me with talking about CRV which is just a few cents which still wouldnt have made avhuge difference and also tried to BS me on the confusing looking receipt which is really hard to itemize in which they do that on on purpose. She then knew I figured she was lying where she called in another cashier to help me. She looked at the receipt and knew it looked to be fraudulent as well. She rang me up again and it finally came to the total that I precalculated! I suspect they do this on purpose so these employees can go on a self shopping spree in the store knowing how many free credits are in the cash register without having to pay out of their own pocket! Ive caught the other location on Vine doing this as well! Bottom line is, precalculate everything before paying at the cashier especially if you are buying a lot of items! It’s true and I think their security guard is in on it too since he didnt seem too convincing when I psychologized he wasnt really there to help me in which he made poor unbelievable excuses for their error!

First round of shopping, I spent $ 20 just walking thru the 1st two aisles. My friend and I walked in maybe 10 – 15 minutes before the place closed and we went thru the store rather slowly. They sell cheap juice(good for alcohol mixers!), beads/elastic rope(to make bracelets), plants($ 1.99 each = a deal! I bought these for $ 4 at other places), a huge bottle of Tapatio for $ 2.49, some other food/junk. Since we got kicked out when they closed, I came back 2 days later to browse through the rest of the aisles. I thought I would buy more items since I had only gone thru the 1st2 aisles the 1st time. I was wrong. I think I spent about $ 10 this time. I bought a vase to go with my new beta fish that cost a buck from this store! Beta food for a buck; daisy napkin holder for a buck; sponges for the kitchen dishes, and a few more necessities. If you pay by credit card, minimum is $ 5 and you usually must show ID.

I was upset that the nearest 99 cent store was about 6 blocks away. I just moved into the neighborhood a few days ago. I walked into the Giant Dollar Store on Olympic and Grand View and looked around. I was amazed, my first time in. I found a new Dollar store Gem. I do not have to walk six blocks to the 99 cent only store. They have many of the same things as the 99 cent only store does. I just moved into the neighborhood from North Hollywood, because the gasoline prices are so high and car repair also. I want to be close to the Metro and close to all the stores that I need. Go check out the Giant Dollar store in your neighborhood.

They are on Grand View St. and Olympic Blvd. Korean owned. Very big and organized. Anyway. after reserving a camping site for the Memorial Day weekend. we’ve decided to make a list of things we need for camping and stopped by this place to buy any/all the disposable stuff like paper cups, plates, napkins, forks, spoons, long matches for campfire, etc. I threw in some smoked oysters and vienna sausages and of course. can’t forget the marshmallows! :P This store had everything! We’re not done with shopping for camping stuff. and we’ll definitely be back for more things :] They accept credit cards.(yay!) Parking: big lot in the back. there’s a tiny drive way on Grand View St. that takes you to their lot. :]
