This restaurant is now permanent ly closed. There is construction going on inside and looks like will reopen in the near future.

Frankie and Johnnys is nothing to rant or rave about. The TV in the dining area is too loud and by the looks of today’s pies, they’ve been out for a minute. It’s located 5 blocks in from the Venice promenade. The slices are $ 3.25 for cheese, $ 4 for pepperoni, pies start around $ 20. The consistency of the crust is thin and crispy. The slice could use more cheese and freshness.

Best pizza in LA. Best service. Best flavor. I’m born and raised in LA but lived in NY for several years and this pizza is the most legit NY-style pizza I’ve found here. I always get the X-large cheese and it’s the BOMB! Don’t waste time with any other pizza place. Just go directly here and be happy!!!

Some of the best pizza I have had in LA. Great service as well. Fresh quick and just reminds me of my trips to New York.

Came here for lunch as I was in the area and got their lunch special. The value of the deal was fair, and since the place was empty there was practically no wait. The pizza had a thin crust that was dry, but it was recently fresh off the oven as it was hot. The salad was a salad, there’s nothing really to say. In all honesty, there’s nothing special about this place. If you’re in the mood for pizza [or the type of food they serve at pizzerias] then you should come here. Otherwise, check your options.

Average pizza, New York Style thin crust for a decent price. Great for a quick slice and the service is always friendly — nice enough to offer the 2 slice and a drink lunch deal all day, if you ask. My default neighborhood pizza place.

Feel bad saying this but honestly… was disgusting. Pizza was cold, pool of orange grease in the middle and the rest was otherwise dry and stale. Sauce was nearly crusting over… I mean overall, the whole thing was just not fresh or good in general. I can best summarize by saying it looked like it had been cooked in a microwave and then left to sit out. I also ordered a slice of chocolate cake. Pretty simple right? It was also old AF. Hard in a vile way that cake just shouldn’t be. The best part of the whole experience was the massive black hair gallantly streaming out of the cake slice, while the other end was deeply embedded within the slice. Tried to eat the untainted parts(because I was 100% starving having not eaten the pizza) but once again, was just old and dry, truly felt like eating any portion of this food was a health risk. Ick. So bad. Don’t waste your money or 1.5 hours waiting for this to show up.

i ordered through Grubhub and didn’t receive my order for 2.5 hours. Keep in mind that the driver belongs to Frankie & Johnnies. The driver handed over the food and immediately took off. After handing out food to my coworkers, I noticed that A) My drink was missing, B) The croutons in my salad were DARK brown and stale, and C) My pizza was so cold! When I called to ask if they could bring my drink back, the manager barked into the phone that the driver couldn’t find parking and next time I should answer my phone. even though they called ONE minute before the food arrived and I called back. I guess you get what you pay for. Cheap food = cheap taste, and even cheaper service. I would rather light the $ 30 I spent on this food before I hand it over to this business.

Can you give an establishment 0 stars? I have never had a worse experience than ordering with Frankie and Johnnies. I was quoted 30 minutes delivery time and asked to be called when the driver arrived. The driver called me and said he was 5 minutes away. I went and stood outside my apartment for 20 minutes and waited and he never showed up. I called several times. He answered a couple times and said he was in a parking lot on a different block and eventually just stopped answering his phone. This is the worst delivery experience I have ever experience and I would not recommend ANYONE ever order from this restaurant. I called and asked to speak with the owner or someone in charge and no one was able to help me. DONOTORDERFROMTHISRESTAURANT if you want your food to actually show up. And judging by previous Unilocal reviews the food isn’t even good.

Really fair prices, thin crispy crust, delicious sauce. Primarily a take-out place, but they have a few tables that they can slide together for you if needed. Recommended for a quick bite.

This place is dreadful, the worst slice of pepperoni I have ever eaten in my life. Ketchup and Cardboard would taste better! Run Away a fast as you can and keep your dollars in your pocket!!! Horrible just doesn’t begin to describe! One star I way too much, however Unilocal had to have a least a star!

Literally the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I’m actually flabbergasted that such pizza exists in a major city such as Los Angeles. I understand that this is not NY or Chicago and LA is not known for pizza. However, I’m just comparing this to any average pizza I’ve had in any town in the US. I’ve had better pizza from the Sbarros at the filthy greyhound bus station in the ghetto of Baltimore. There was not a single element of this pie that was remotely enjoyable. It arrived lukewarm, stale, and greasy. The sauce was too sweet, the cheese was rubbery, the crust was hard and stale tasting. It tasted like it had been sitting out for hours then reheated resulting in an over cooked and overly greasy pie. If you value your time on this earth, do NOT waste it eating this pizza.

This place is amaze-balls! I just got a new job and am in Brentwood now, I tried to call Mulberry to see if they’d deliver this far but they won’t. I tried this joint on an off– chance, and was pleasantly surprised! I would definitely recommend the Barbeque chicken with cilantro & Red Onions… delightfully delish! My only critique is that they could use a better quality chicken… the stuff they used tasted like the kind sub-way uses… for their subs… You know the kind… lol, anyway, aside from that… STELLAR!

Worst pizza we have ever had. Ordered for pick up and when we got home the pizza was dry, burnt and tasted like robber. Tastes and looks like they took a left over cheese pizza and added the ingredients we ordered. Huge disappointment and will NEVER go here again. The salad was twice as bad. The girl at the counter was rude. The only positive thing about this place was the guy who picked up the phone, he was very polite but that doesn’t make up for the poor quality of good and over priced menu.

Ifs could give this place 0 stars I would. I ordered a slice of veggie pizza and it arrived as a slice of cheese pizza with a ton of raw veggies stacked on top. With the pizza being so thin I couldn’t even pick up the slice and the whole thing fell apart. I wish I took a picture. I told the guy working at the front this is not how you give a customer a slice of pizza, especially after paying $ 4.20 for the slice. Instead of apologizing and offering me something else he looked at me with a blank stare and said sorry. I will never ever come back to this place, there is no shortage of pizza places in la. You lost a new customer Frankie and johnnies. And just a tip… try and hire some people who are more friendly to work at your place.

One of THEWORST places I’ve ever order from. The sandwich i received was soggy, moldy and falling apart. The pizza was disgusting. Did not eat any of it… Immediately called the restaurant with pictures and everything and THEYWOULDNOTREFUNDMYORDERATALL. Horrible food and customer service. Will never eat here again and recommend others to do the same.

The curving aluminum platter jangle around behind the glass. Like roly poly children’s toy, it’s the first sign of the low grade goods going into this pizza – which is not always a bad thing. At $ 2 a slice, the price matches the quality. The crust is bubbly and crisp, overly thin and faintly raw at the end. The sauce and cheese are cheap and good. It’s an okay slice if you’re in the area, but please do not go out of the way.

Frankie and Johnnie’s is the perfect candidate for a spontaneous pizza party, East Coast-style! Their pizzas’ thin crust is springy and lightly charred, the sauce is a good balance of sweet and salty, and the cheese holds everything together without forming the usual layer of mozzarella goop. Best of all, takeout slices are large enough to fold in half to help make your gluttony just a bit more efficient! We thoroughly enjoyed our first Frankie and Johnnie’s pizza in its veggie form, and plan on giving some of the others a try very soon. We also gave F and J’s «Blackout Chocolate Cheese Cake» a beta run, with less desirable results. The name of the cake certainly tempted, but the dessert we received was nothing like the menu description that promised a «super tall multi-layer chocolate cake with chunks of chocolate covered creamy frosting.» It was short, it had only two layers, and there were no chunks. To be quite honest, we could have used those chunks… and way more cake! Four stars for the pizza, one and a half for the cake. Another weekend, another pizza party. Sorry to see another one of you go, Sunday! Quick tip: Get 5% off when you order from .

Frankie & Johnnie’s is right across the street from where I live, so when there’s a pizza craving, it’s very quick and convenient! I walked over one day after work to place an order and saw that they have a half off check-in special, so I decided to dine in! We ordere dthe Frankie & Johnnie’s Special, which includes all pizza toppings. We waited for our fresh pizza to be made and baked and between the two of us, almost finished the entire pizza! Having been to many pizza joints, this one ranks fairly average on my list. It’s nothing special, but not bad pizza either!
