Walked into this store by chance and Mike banged out a bad ass print for the band Pavement for me in a few days! I didn’t write the review till now (over a year later). But I’m on my way to the shop now for another piece to be framed!

I had actual stacks of artwork in my house. Like everything from vintage (60’s/70’s) music posters to priceless art wood block prints. I took my stack in and spent honestly, almost two hours going through every frame and matting option available. Mike was so awesome and made killer recommendations. The two prints together were about the same price as a generic, crappy frame job from Aaron Brothers. I would recommend Frame Monster to anyone who needs things framed! Super fast, super professional and the most interesting frame options I’ve ever seen. LOVE this place. And the interior design is sick too. I want one of the brain cut-​aways so badly!

I found this framing shop about a week or so after I moved to Mt. Washington. It was my friend’s birthday, and I needed to get this photograph I found for him framed day of. I came into the shop, everyone was really friendly and not only helped me right away, but gave me museum glass at no cost (SO NICE thank you) and it was ready in a couple hours. Very reasonably priced and a great experience overall. I have lots more that I will need to bring to them in the future.

Simply the BEST! Turned around the job in ONE day, even really helped out by taking everything into consideration on the job (price, frame, picture etc.) and did fantastic work.
Great price, so much better than many other places I previously used, but even if you are not local to Frame Monster, MAKE THE DRIVE as you will save money and they do Excellent work.

This is the go-​to frame store if you are in Los Angeles. I’ve had a lot of experiences with other frame shops but Mike takes it to a whole new level when it comes to customization.
It really is a laboratory. We combined our minds and are making a one of a kind shadowbox frame for my ticket stubs. Couldn’t have done it without them.

On a more serious note, they can frame just about anything. Just check out their shop and you will see all the work they do. It is just incredible! If you’re in luck, you’ll sneak a peak into some very amazing art pieces. LOVE IT.

Finally took the time to get my old White Stripes concert poster from’03 framed, and am so glad I went with Frame Monster. I got a frame from the LBC flea market that was a tad too big for the poster. They took it apart, sized it down and the finished product looked so good. The turnaround time and the price were unbeatable. Next, I need to get my college diploma framed and will definitely be back.

I love this place! I recommend it to anyone who needs anything done frame galore-​wise. They’re nice, timely, and excellent at what they do, and at a great price! Please blow off Aaron Bros or any of those other franchises who sell those cheap and cheap-​looking plastic frames for a ridiculous amount of money. I can’t believe they tell you what it will cost with a straight face! This is an awesome alternative, it’s a gem!

Friendly and professional without being boring, the guys at Frame Monster were a pleasure to work with. I brought in a print by a street artist and could feel right away that they’d know how to get the most out of it.
There was a slight scheduling hiccup but they normally achieve a one week turnaround, which is pretty excellent.
Will definitely continue using them, and suggest you do too!

You’re a talented emerging artist in a new city with your first show at a gallery you’ve dreamed of showing at for years, and you need to pour every ounce of yourself into finishing a phenomenonal piece. You’ve got a starving artist’s budget, an oddly sized panel and no time to screw around for weeks with any random framer handling your wet oil painting. What do you do?
You let Mike at Frame Monster sort it out! This is an awesome shop, excellent selection of frames, fantastic rates, pleasure to do business with. Saved me do much hassle. He framed an identical panel for me, showed me how to mount it myself in detail, and got me set up with a beautiful frame so I can work down to the last minute on my piece. Before I drop it off at the gallery, he is letting me bring it back for the backing and hanger. And to get it photographed for prints, Artworks Fine Art Publishing is a few minutes away. Talk about convenient!

What a gem! What a guy! This is my second visit at frame monster, and certainly not my last. Mike was super helpful, and had my last minute Christmas present framed in no time! I’m planning more projects for him for sure. What a great local shop!

Ok, so there’s those little hidden places in Los Angeles, that everyone should know about, and this is definitely one of them. Ordering from overseas to over the hill, this cool design shop has a bounty of eclectic frames that are just some of the most interesting frames I’ve ever seen. The owners/​artists that work there have a grip of places they but from, and the work is quick, and beautifully done.
I recommend this framing laboratory over any other framing place in the SoCal area.
Go there, you will not be disappointed.

Really pleasant and interesting guy named Mike runs the shop. Has a quick and strong eye. Super responsive. Knows his stuff– packaging the piece carefully and explaining proper care. He put together a beautiful piece for us that is hanging proudly in the living room. Recommend him without hesitation.

This place really is as good as it gets. I looked up the shop after seeing an ad they placed in the NELA Art Newspaper and saw their great portfolio /​reviews so I emailed Mike and asked if he was available that morning to go over some pieces I needed framed. We met up a few hours later and and I have to say I was quickly impressed with his overall demeanor, business model, and craftsmanship. I have been to more than my share of framers and they’re all good but this is the kind of place that has the something special about it I was looking for.
I took three pieces in to get framed and they are by far the nicest frames I have in my art collection. The frames give the artwork a beautiful setting and enhance it perfectly without being invasive.
I ended up spending a little more than what I had in mind but Mike honored the Unilocal discount and the quality and aesthetic is far superior to what I have gotten before. UV glass, double matte, fabric, etc.
I can no longer get my collection framed anywhere else after seeing how ridiculously great these came out.
They plan on opening full retail hours in the coming months but if you’re hesitant because of the appointment only hours right now don’t be. Give Mike a call or email and he’ll accommodate you. His turnaround time is also unbeatable!

I love Frame Monster! No more Ikea frames for us. The prices are extremely reasonable and the level craftsmanship very high. Mike has a great eye and always makes really good recommendations for what to do. He also has a very nice selection of beautiful and interesting frames, so it’s fun to browse and come up with a plan. Turnaround times are very fast.
This shop is such a great addition to Cypress Park. Go there, you’ll be very happy.

Mike’s authenticity will win you over during your first interaction with him, but his dedication and professionalism will make you want to keep returning to Frame Monster. The mattes and frames I ordered were very reasonably priced, and the assembly and craftsmanship were excellent. But Mike also heroically followed through on a last-​minute request to FedEx my prints to meet a gallery deadline. Everything arrived on time, carefully and thoughtfully-​packaged. And Mike followed up personally to make sure it all arrived intact and before the due date. In an emergency, I was so grateful to have someone care enough to help me out.
That kind of individual attention deserves to be rewarded with repeat patronage, and it makes me eager suggest Mike to everyone I know.
