While in town for work, my co-workers and I decided to dine at Eureka due to our party size, beer, and general American menu that has a little bit of something for everyone. By that, I mean burgers, salads, tacos, fish, and steak. Standard fare, slightly done up. The burgers are huge with grand toppings such as a fried egg, shoestring onions, and bone marrow. I had a burger, as did most, but a few ventured out and tried the salmon. The presentation of the fish was nice with the salad having fancy watermelon fruit of some sorts and other bits that my co-workers pointed out. There were no comments about the salmon, but everyone that ordered it finished the plate. I ordered a burger with a fried egg, a guilty pleasure of mine, medium rare, and it tasted good. The fries were good, but cold. While the burger was tasty, it didn’t really stand out beyond what you could find at several other pub-style burger centric chains. That being said, there is a time and place for this type of food… such as work events and large family outings. The service for our party was good. There is a heatwave going on at the moment and the waiter promptly refilled our water glasses. I asked for help with my beer selection and enjoyed his recommendation. In conclusion, I feel like this style of restaurant is a dime a dozen, but there is a reason for that. The food is good and will appease the masses. If you are looking for something more than standard American beer food, find another place to eat. If you are tired after a long day of work and just want drinks and standard American fare, you will probably enjoy Eureka.

OMG! So I was looking for a way to kill time while waiting for traffic to die down and was wandering through the new shopping development across from Topanga mall(you may ask; «What the heck were you doing all the way out in Woodland Hills?! Had to pick up my new glasses from the Costco, but that’s another story!) Anyway, I am enjoying the best grilled chicken Pesto sandwich I’ve had in a long time! It has pancetta, grilled tomatoes, and grilled onions! It is too die for! Also the Arugula side salad has cranberries, feta and chopped onion with a lemon vinaigrette! Not to mention«Hyrum The Hottie» bartender that knows how to make an excellent Margarita and btw, looks very good doing it! Win, Win! All is VERYGOOD in the Valley right now!

Great food and fast friendly service. First time here and was a great time and tasty food. I ordered the brussels as an appetizer and they were glazed in something phenomenal. For a meal I got the breakfast burrito and it was large and soo good. I hope to come back sooner than later.

In the heart of the Village! Great place to grab a bite to eat in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of The Village, the new mega shopping complex in Woodland Hills, CA. This review is about an amazing time I had planned for my wife’s birthday back in May. Manager Karly was awesome at getting us a table for 11 people. The staff were courteous and attentive. The food looked great. I can only speak for myself, I ordered the fish tacos, and they were amazing! We sat outside, close to the fire pit, a little chilly for the ladies, but all in all a great night and I don’t think I would been able to pull it off without Karly’s help. This was my first time there, and we we are using first impressions as a guide, this place was awesome. I will certainly be happy to give them my business again. PS. Sitting outside offers wonderful people watching

I actually went back here with a sweet friend of mine. She was there about 30 minutes before myself and Happy Hour. They gave her a big table just in case more people showed up. This time service was wonderful. I had the same waiter as the last time with the bad experience. He even remembered me lol. They let us start ordering the Happy Hour items 5 minutes before it stated. We ended up getting: Blues Burger(melted blue cheese /herb sautéed wild mushrooms /grilled onions /chipotle ketchup). Split that in half… Osso Buco Riblets(sherry braised pork /firecracker aioli) Lollipop Corn Dogs(5x)(Polish sausage /sweet corn batter /spicy porter mustard) 2 Bloody Marys 6 beers(im guessing at this point =)) Walked out of the place for under $ 75.00. Very Nice service this time, Fantastic food, They never rushed us, and we must have been there from 1:00pm — 5:00pm/5:30pm. They even brought out a dish with water for the puppy we had with us. Very pleased and will visit again for Happy Hour again very soon in the near future. TIP — their Sunday Happy Hour started at 2:00pm and went till 6:00pm, then again from 9:00pm till close. Huge deals at this time.

We hosted an event on the side/back patio and it was great! Anthony made sure we had everything we needed and our servers were incredible. We had to make a couple announcements and Anthony was there to turn off the fountain to make sure everyone could hear, very thoughtful! The food was great and I highly recommend the mule(have it made with tequila) — fresh ginger and lime not soda based– makes a big difference Will definitely be using this space again for events and visiting for that mule again!!!

In theory, this place sounds like a great place to have some good old all American classic style food with burgers and fries and wings«scratch made» so they say. Debating on eating here or next door to one of the many restaurants that flank this place, we decided on eureka! And we questioned our choice very shortly after. We were seated right away and our server was so amazing at accommodating our restrictions and all the things we wanted. We ordered a side of their freshly made fries, a beet burger with a side of grilled vegetables(this plate made vegan and gluten free), corn dogs and wings. Simple right? Apparently, not. We received my beet burger with a side of vegetables that oddly enough had flour tortilla chips. Why are there tortilla chips in a side of grilled vegetable?! Who knows. The side was neither vegan nor gluten free. Our entrees came out before the appetizers. Then our fries were given to the table next to us and we had to wait closer to end of our meal to get our fries which were undercooked and hard. Then they replaced them with more fries which were just as nasty and in return manager says«I’ve taken care of the side of fries for you guys» but nothing about the grilled vegetables which wreaked of gluten! The wings were decent but nothing great. Save your tummy space. This place needs to check what’s coming out of the kitchen and make sure expediter is getting things out in a timely fashion to the right tables. It just seemed like a mess.

Mostly enjoyed our experience at Eureka! about 10 days ago. Dear Hubby and I met Dearest Daughter to get a jump on celebrating my birthday. We’re getting better at negotiating the(dreaded!) parking lot, so it wasn’t as frustrating this time. We were seated inside, but near a large doorway to the patio, where fire pits were blazing and many guests were chilling with their canines. There was a fair amount of yappy-ness in the air. Since it was so loud inside, it all added to the audible mix. Finally, the very vocal folks at the next table headed out. That brought the decibels down to a reasonable level. There are many hard surfaces in the space, without a lot of softening elements. The organic wood and forged metal look makes up the bulk of the décor. Great service kept the pacing moving along. DH ordered roasted Brussels sprouts to share. They came with an interesting sauce drizzled over, but were a bit under-cooked. My Mac & cheese was strangely topped with Fritos. Full sized Fritos, not crushed ones. The dish was at lukewarm temperature. Let the waiter know and he had it reheated. At the proper temperature, the flavor improved significantly. Still not sure about those Fritos, though. Would have been much better without them. There was a generous topping of bacon, which would have been sufficient for extra interest to the dish. It’s a hip, funky vibe kind of place. Seems well aligned with The Village, especially with indoor-outdoor weather on the horizon.

We were shopping at the WV and got a bit hungry, there’s a lot of places to eat here, but Eureka caught our eye… wow were we lucky that we chose this place! The food was really, really good! My 10 year old daughter ordered off the adult menu(the watermelon salad) and she ate every last bite. My son loved his burger. I had the mahi mahi tacos and I was in HEAVEN… this place is definitely in our rotation going forward. They also have a great beer list! The service is wonderful and friendly, there’s really nothing negative to say about this place other than the parking at WV is a challenge, however I will brave that small hurdle any day of the week to get me a cold beer and some of those great fish tacos!

Been hearing great things about this place and their food, especially the bone marrow burger. Of course I had to try it. Went on a Friday night. It wasn’t packed at all. Didn’t have to wait to be seated. However, it took quite some time to get our server over to take our order. So when he got to us, we ordered right away: I had the bone marrow burger with sweet potato fries, my hubby had the jalapeño burger, and we shared the butterscotch rum pudding for dessert. Of the ten or more bites I had of my bone marrow burger, I only tasted the marrow once. The rest of the bites tasted like any ordinary burger. Nothing special. My hubby didn’t like his jalapeño burger that much either. As for the pudding, that was good. That’s the only thing I’d order again. If I ever come back here. Overall, the food was overrated. Service was ok. Will I come back? Probably not.

First time trying this place was amazing! Started off with bruschetta which was very tasty! Highly recommend the grilled chicken sandwich for anyone who loves chicken and havarti cheese! It was amazing! The tacos there are huge and stuffed to perfection! The environment was amazing the lights and the outside seating really set the mood to a great night, especially on a warm night! Only reason I gave a 4 star is because I didn’t like how I didn’t receive plates and utensils as I ordered my appetizer. But overall I would definitely go back!

Went in for a second attempt to give this place a shot. I noticed some changes. Lower beer prices. Good. Happy hour specials(one a bargain– $ 2 dales pale ale) Good. Lots of friendly servers. All good. But when we sat down we were informed that the bartender was«alone» and our drink order might be delayed. It took 12 minutes to get a beer and a glass of wine. I don’t understand why on a Saturday night dinner hour you schedule ONE bartender for the whole restaurant? We ordered the bruschetta with«goat cheese, tomato and basil topped with basalmic reduction) $ 7.50 Ours had little to no basil and a ‘smear’ of goat cheese. It also tasted like it had been made hours before and sat for a long time– the bread had soaked up all the water from the tomatoes and was quite soggy. We were going to order when my wife vetoed. I was rooting for this place as I liked the new prices… Too bad

Happy hour everyday until 6pm And I believe it starts at 9pm again Good burgers: although my cousin ruined the bone marrow burger by ordering it with no bun on 3 pieces of arugula… $ 17 –must have a bun The fish tacos on happy hour are ok, but a bit too fishy for my taste. Ol fashion was ok for $ 9 A bottle of the Riesling was $ 22, good wine *servers are extremely nice *i recommend this place to the crowds under $ 40 lol jk jk *nice little patio area with rectangular fire pit *chill vibe Someday during the week they have people sing. Can’t remember which day it was the first time we went.

We celebrated our buddy’s bday here on a Friday night and sat outside in the patio area. Food, drinks and service were overall good. Nice and casual atmosphere. — Mahi Mahi Tacos(2 tacos of blackened sautéed Mahi Mahi /avocado tomatillo /cabbage /mango salsa /brown rice medley) — mahi was cooked perfectly, nice flavor overall — Bone Marrow Burger(bone marrow porcini butter /charbroiled onion /mustard aioli /roasted Roma tomato) — barely tasted the bone marrow :( — The truffle cheese fries was yummy and the sweet potato fries were amazing! It was cooked perfectly, thicker cuts and slightly drizzled with honey? Whatever it was, I loved it! — Loved the penicillin cocktail(smoked wiskey /ginger /honey /citrus) Server was energetic, knowledgeable of the menu and handled our party of 11 well. Unfortunately he forgot to put in an order of the cowboy burger and we realized it when everyone’s meal but one of our party’s did not come out. The server was then informed of that. When he left and came back, he took accountability, advised the order was just put in and we noticed it was comped on the bill. That was nice and definitely unexpected! :) Located on the outter part of The Village on Topanga Blvd.

I’ve been here so many times for Sunday brunch with my boyfriend. They have the most delicious $ 5 special Bloody Mary w/bacon. I haven’t tried much on their menu except the Watermelon Salad, Fig Burger and Bison Burger. The burgers are so good! I can’t really remember how I felt about the salad as my teeth was hurting that day. The service is good and I’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a seat. I have never been here at night, but from the pics, it looks fun. Maybe some time soon.

Eureka is okay at best 2.5. I would not come back again simply because nothing stood out in terms of food, service or ambiance. After walking around the village and lack of planning on a Friday night, Eureka had one of the shorter wait times for a late dinner. The hostess in the front was very nonchalant(it wouldn’t kill you to crack a smile when you greet people) and seemed annoyed to be working on a Friday night. After about a twenty minute wait time, we were seated and greeted by our waitress. She was friendly and made a few suggestions before we ordered. We decided on the Osso Buco Riblets and Truffle Cheese Fries, Blackened Shrimp Tacos, the Bone Marrow Burger, and the All Day Breakfast Burrito. The truffle fries were not really truffle fries. They were regular fries sprinkled with truffle salt and parmesan. They were served with what they call a truffle cheese sauce. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a sauce… or to say that there’s actually cheese in it. It’s some type of watered down flavorless truffle salt water that we poured on the fries and later had to dip in ketchup to mask the flavors. The actual fries were crisp and yummy, but they really shouldn’t be called truffle fries. The Osso Buco Riblets were little sherry braised pork riblets with firecracker aioli. The aioli was the best thing about the riblets. The little ones were better than the bigger ones because the bigger ones had a sort of woody taste to them. I would not order these again. The blackened shrimp tacos were the highlight of the meal. Although the menu says crispy shrimp tacos, our waitress informed us that they are blackened shrimp. The shrimp were cooked and seasoned very well. Each little taco had four big pieces of shrimp. A little lime and these are good to go. The bone marrow burger was a bit of a disappointment. The burger is said to have bone marrow porcini butter, charbroiled onion, mustard aioli and tomato. After one bite of the burger, I bit into something hard. I took it out of my mouth and our waitress kindly called the manager over to take a look. He believed that it may have been part of the cutting board that chipped into the burger. This was quite a disappointment since it was my first bite. The flavors were okay… but missing that oomph of a really memorable burger. The all day breakfast burrito was all but a breakfast burrito. The menu indicated that the burrito was filled with carnitas, potatoes, peppers, ranchero sauce, jack cheese, sour cream, fried egg and a side of arugula. The burrito was topped with an unseasoned fried egg only on top of the burrito. I was disappointing that the burrito did not have any egg filling on the inside. The potatoes were actually french fries and the carnitas were super under-seasoned. The waitress gave me a «house hot sauce» which was really buffalo sauce to top my burrito. The best thing from this dish was the arugula on the side. This was a weak attempt at a burrito. I could have made a better one at home with my eyes closed. All in all, the food was mediocre and the service was just ok. Our waitress and the manager we friendly enough, but much of the staff in the front may stray people from coming in at all. The restaurant in smack dab in the middle of the village, but they do validate for parking, which is a plus. Though we were offered a desert on the house for the«cutting board» incident, we declined as the rest of our food was just average at best.

Great casual burger place! This is at the newly opened Village! I love the village, it’s so inviting and nice to walk around, unfortunately a lot of the restaurants there aren’t getting the best reviews like XOC which I’ve ate there before and it’s not good. It’s nice to have something at the village with a solid 4 stars! This place is known for their burgers, rustic place, awesome vibes! Like they say: you’ll find an authentic 100% vegetarian fed, hormone & antibiotic free, all natural beef burgers and they are known for their signature handcut fries. Our waiter was easy going and super nice! Anyways let’s move on to the food: Truffle Cheese Fries(5 stars) signature handcut fries /truffle salt /Parmesan cheese /green onion /white truffle cheese sauce — Super good! I like how thin and crispy the fries are handcut, plus they leave the sauce on the side, as to not make the fries soggy, good call. BTW the sauce is bomb!!! Fresno Fig Burger(4 stars) fig marmalade /melted goat cheese /bacon /tomato /red onion /arugula /spicy porter mustard /signature handcut fries — Although this isn’t the best burger I’ve had, still pretty good. The fig and goat cheese made it stand out. However for best burger’s I’ll still choose father’s office, umami, or public house. Overall i’d come back to try more and def dessert next time! I like how everything is made to order and they do it all in house :)

Eureka! Where do I start with this restaurant? While some look at it as just a «chain» restaurant and it is a chain, I look at it as a gem and I’m grateful that they are in our neighborhood. As a good blogger, a foodie and someone who loves atmosphere, this restaurant has it all!!! I’ve been here a few times now and just had to write a review. Today we ordered a Bloody Mary, it was the perfect spice for me… served with 2 olives and a slice of jalapeño. We ordered the must have truffle cheese fries served with a truffle cheese sauce… omg!!! I also ordered the pork sandwich(no photo) which was the perfect blend of spicy to sweet. Today I finished the night with the chocolate soufflé…again amazing… although it was more like a chocolate cake than soufflé. The atmosphere is casual with great patio seating(can’t wait to enjoy it during the summer). I would tell you to try this restaurant and get the fries…
