It was about 2 years ago since my last visit here and they have improved tremendously with their service and most of all the Quality and presentation of their dishes. My server gabby was very attentive and most of all catered to all her customers during my visit. Not to sure of their other locations, one in whittier and this one is the only location I’ve eaten at. Consist on their taste and Quality and most of all their service. Now mind you not on Friday nights this place is packed, because the majority of their customers are catholic, and on Friday’s they don’t eat meat. They do a booming business on their sea food dishes. My favorite is the Ceviche. Very tasty. Must be patience if you plan on ever coming here on a Friday or Saturday night, the wait could be up to an hour. Worth the wait. Have a cold beer or a margarita.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon the place was packed. Wait time to be seated was 15 minutes which was not bad because they were packed. The atmosphere was awesome and the hostess and servers where super friendly. The service was super fast and the crazy part was the food was so on point. Will definetly eat here again.

Very disappointed! I went there on a Wednesday at 9:37, pm and the doors were locked, we knocked and they said kitchen was closed. Wow! Sign says it closes at 10:00pm.

Nice place. Loved the soups. The parking is ok. Price alright. Ok for lunch. The sound quality is a bit poor.

My husband and i Love their breakfast specials! My favorite is the machaca plate and my husband loves the chorizo con huevos plate and for dinner i love their fajitas! Especially the combo Steak, chicken and shrimp with rice and beans i usually order this with a mango margarita of course and my husband loves the burrito combo with rice and beans. The waiters are friendly and service is always great!

Nice place in a little bit of a sketchy area. Had the shrimp enchiladas the fish was cooked perfectly and there was plenty in the enchilada. Salsa needed a little Ezra kick but had a good flavor. The pineapple Fresca was extremely tasty.

This place is terrible, they can’t even stay open until they’re required to on a Saturday night. The doors were locked, and I was turned away, saying that it was the manager’s decision to close at 10:30 instead of what’s posted on the wall, which is 11pm. I hope the owner is aware of this, and doesn’t let his manager get away with this type of decision making.

Very rude when you call them out on their mistakes. Lesson learned, my husband loves their ceviche so I always go back but man everytime they get my order wrong, they get upset and are very rude. I’m allergic to pork and I asked for asada burrito we get home and it’s a pork burrito thank god I didn’t take a bite theyre always making mistakes so i opened the burrito to make sure it was correct and to my surprise(not really) it was a WRONGORDER!!!

I came her for the first time the other night and left satisfied. The restaurant has a real open feel with a large bar and music playing– everything from mariachi to Drake. I was there on a Sunday but I’m sure it gets poppin on a Fri/Sat, could make for a good pre-game spot. I had a few beers and a shrimp and carne asada combo con roz y frijoles. It was all really good and it came out in like 5 minutes. They seem to be a lil stingey with the shrimp, it’s butter-flyed so it looks like this big pile, but it’s actually like 4 pieces. It was delicious tho so Im not knockin em.

Just okay. Considering they ripped off the entire El 7 Mares menu, I’d recommend just eating at the one in Lincoln Heights and get better quality for the price. The food here lacks flavor and originality.

This is a particularly great spot for catching a game. I went last week with a couple buddies to watch Los Blancos, and the food here is divine. You know a restaurant has great food when one of the seating areas is covered with TVs and there are many people not paying them any attention, despite the sounds of the game blasting through the loudspeaker. The food HAS to be good to distract these patrons from the games! And it was :) I tried a basic carne asada burrito, but it was very delicious. El Pescador carries all your traditional Mexican favorites like enchiladas, fajitas, flautas, and the like. The horchata I drank tasted homemade and was equally delicious. I’m definitely a fan and would recommend El Pescador Number 9 for lunch and dinner. Parking out back is a cinch. I suppose the only drawback is the surrounding area. This part of Highland Park wouldn’t be considered affluent, but that doesn’t in any way take away from the delicious taste of the food here.

Delicious seafood very fresh… I had the«empapelado aka steamed seafood in a mushroom sauce while my friend ordered the«pescado filete al mijo de ajo.» I will definitely return and order«el molcajete» to be shared with a friend. Even the selection of music was good… and of course the Dodgers were winning, 3 – 0

Walked in on a Saturday morning, no wait. Waters, chips, and salsa came at a meandering pace. Menudo was my choice, took some time to get to the table. So sorry that it even came, it was the most lifeless, bland bowl of menudo I’ve ever had. Seriously, canned menudo would have been tastier. Thinking about it now makes me turn my head in disdain. I sent it back immediately, and shared a portion of the breakfast special, which was a large portion for the price. And though I didn’t try them, the chilquiles are of the soggy variety. No thanks.

This is a tough review to write. I’ve been there several times, they make one of the best shrimp cocktails in town. They are pleasant, not the fastest service in town but that’s ok. We are all probably to hurried anyways. Now here goes the bad part. I ordered a to go order yesterday, sent my wife to pick it up. The gal that helped her didn’t speak a word of English. She was dismissive and did the typical thing that most non English speaking people do, said«yes yes yes» to anything she asked, without having a clue what she was asking for. I know this is Los Angeles, but some people(unlike me) still don’t speak Spanish.

I have been a couple of times in this restaurant. Good is good i can’t regret but I hate the waiting time I was really hungry. And they made wait more than 30 minutes. So if you want to come and eat in this place. Be patient especially on weekends. Service is slow I’m sorry writing this one star but I was so mad for all time I have to wait.

I have been to this place a few times I am surprised I never wrote a review. My boyfriend was working in the area on saturday night and he loves seafood, all of a sudden I remembered this place. We have ordered the oysters ceviche style, the seafood cocktail(huge !!) and the fish and shrimp plate. The fish and shrimp plate was a disappointment, the fish was a bit over cooked and a really really thin slice(compared to places like Las Fuentes in Reseda) but the rest was good, I enjoyed the margarita as well.
