I realize this place is now closed, but what a crime that is! They weren’t perfect, but they were damn good and now there’s no Greek place in my neighborhood. This was my go-to place for dinner if we didn’t know what to do. Always got the lamb gyro salad with rice, which was perfect for two. Maybe this review will convince them to give it a shot again, or at least convince whoever moves in there to keep it Greek! Ugh…

Waited almost 2 hours for delivery. Restaurant said the driver doesn’t even have my food in the car yet and they don’t know what time he will be back to pick up my order. Who knows how long the food has been sitting around! What a mess. Cancelled my order. Never ordering again.

Honestly I’m here just about every day. The workers here have become like family to me, especially Mazzi! He’s the best! No BS the food is just okay though. I like this place cause the workers are fun and it’s a quiet place I can sit in all day to eat food and get some work done. Great for screenwriters! ;)

Love the lamb gyro but be sure to ask for onions. The French fries are outstanding. I ask for my wings fried extra hard. Delivery is always fast and no fuss and friendly. They’re open until midnight for night owls like me. Except tried to place an order and was hung up on very rudely.

Incredibly friendly waitress. Food is quick and delicious, and they gave our dog some meat scraps. Will definitely return.

El Greco is the best! Quick, cheap and delicious. Los Feliz needs more businesses like this.

Twice it took this place 2 hours to deliver my calzone. When I call and ask for a manager they hang up in my face. Some how some way I will find an owner or manager. I am completely dissatisfied with customer service.

Food was very bland almost no seasoning. I got the lemon soup it had everyr except the lemon and the hummus was kind of watery. The burger bun looked store bought to sum it up the pita bread was the best part

El Greco is simply put, easy-order, easy-delivery, good-tasting food. Is it the very best in Los Angeles? Well, no. But I still really like them for pretty good tasting food, combined with a rather affordable menu that consistently provides tummy-filling food quick, easy and good. I recommend them for most occasions, however if you are planning a very special dinner/event you may want to continue looking for a venue that is a notch above El Greco. Good everyday food with good, everyday prices.

I’m surprised by the negative reviews, most of which are regarding delivery(I always eat in) and people ordering non-greek dishes(Why?). My family has been going here for years for the Gyro combo — A lamb or chicken gyro, plus your choice of either fries, hummus, or salad — all for $ 6.95!!! It’s consistently great every single time — flavorful meat, warm pita, cold tzaziki sauce, crisp steak fries. We occasionally get the lemon chicken soup as well, which is great on cold nights. The service has always been fast and friendly, even when we’re rushing them so we can catch a movie next door. Sit outside! There’s great people watching to be had and the inside can feel a little stuffy.

I order gyro pizza through eat24 they sent me cheese pizza and they didnt change it. They insist that they sent gyro pizza like people are stupid to understand what is cheese pizza and what is not. I guess they dont have any respect to costumers. I used to like this place but i dont think i will order from here again. Thanks to eat24 for refunding my money.

After being told 30 to 40 mins on delivery I placed an order. It has now taken an hour and a half ago. I asked for the pita and dolmathes and it takes this long. Not getting food from here again — unhappy customer. Make sure to get your timings right next, although I won’t be ordering from here again.

Ordered delivery through grub hub. The food came 30 min earlier than expected which was awesome. We ordered the cheeseburger with fries, and a chicken gyro sandwich with tabbouleh. The burger is big and juicy, looks like a poster cheeseburger. The fries were thick and crispy still even after the delivery wait. The chicken sandwich was moist and tasty, the tabbouleh was nice too. I would definitely order from here again. All together our total with delivery was 14 $ !!!

The ratings for this place is pretty low, but when we ate dinner here last night before heading up to the Greek Theater, it was great. There wasn’t anyone in the café when we arrived so we were seated right away. We decided to sit outside because it is hotter inside the café. We ordered the lamb gyro plate and the chicken gyro sandwich. The plate came with two sides, while the sandwich came with one. And, you chose from hummus, salad, fries, rice, or tabouleh. The fries were your normal type of fries. They were good. The hummus had a little bit of a kick to it. And the rice had a different spice to it, but it was good. The chicken gyro was great because all the pieces were moist and tender. Overall, the meal was great and service was excellent. Our server was super nice and personable. My only complaint is their pita bread which was a little hard. But that’s a minor thing. It held up the sandwich well.

Ordered from El Greco via Eat24 today, soup and salad combos + an iced tea for lunch. I placed it at 12:30PM and was told in the email 45 – 90 minutes, which seems like a long window to wait on but figured OK fine it couldn’t possibly take that long. Whoops. Checking in after 90 minutes with Eat 24 customer service, they told me they spoke to the restaurant and the driver would be there in 10 mins. So I checked in 10 mins later with another customer service rep and they called the restaurant again and was told another 10 mins. Just to rule out that it was not an issue with Eat24, I called the restaurant MYSELF after another 10 minutes lapsed(we’re at 110 minutes from ordering at this point). The phone rang over 12 times, and when someone answered, I was told rudely that they just spoke to Eat 24(true) and that they said they only have one driver and that he’d be to me in, you guessed it, 10 minutes. I don’t want to harp too much on who I spoke to, however there could be some serious improvements in their phone skills and customer service. I don’t recall being told by anyone at the restaurant up to that point via a call or anyone who spoke to Eat24 that they were having an issue with delivery today and that it would be a long period of time to receive food. The driver finally came over two hours later, and the food came like this: Greek Salad w/chicken — completely warm and soggy from the chicken Pita — Was placed under the salad so it was wet/soggy and inedible Soup — fine, but in the same container as the salad so helped in getting the greens really warm and wilty Iced Tea — Warm and watered down because the ice had totally melted As evidenced by this, and the fact that driver said that he had to go to WESTHOLLYWOOD(not in the delivery distance map) I’m convinced that my food had been in his car for at LEAST an hour. If you only have one driver and can’t handle the volume of your delivery calls, then don’t offer delivery services. Please don’t unapologetically expect me feel for you because you are short staffed. The best part is that they have my driver’s generous tip as well, that I placed in advance on the card.

I’ve lived in the area for years and used to come to this same block in Los Feliz to go to Mako’s(replaced by Juicy Burger), which sadly does not exist anymore :( El Greco has been a staple here from years and one night with my bf we decided to eat here while waiting to meet up with a friend. We ordered the fried zucchini and lamb combo. Each item was priced appropriately and between the 2 of us, there was more than enough food. I just started eating mediterranean cuisine so I haven’t developed a refined taste for it. But I really enjoyed the lamb schwarma. So that’s why, all in all it gets 4 stars from me. If you’re craving mediterrean, in the Los Feliz area and don’t want to pay hefty prices at Desert Rose, make your way to Vermont.

For what it is this place delivers. Used to come here when I could walk to it in my Los Feliz days. They now deliver through which, btw is a great website when you think all you can get to your door is pizza. They show you everywhere that delivers for FREE. Not a third party that charges you 5 – 10 extra. The spanikopita was dope. The Kabobs and rice were good as well. If you love tahini like we do, make sure to ask for a HUGE side, because the sides we requested were only about 1 ounce ;( But overall, solid Greek joint THATDELIVERS. If you really want authentic, try Pappa Cristos on Pico Blvd.

My boyfriend and I came here because it was late night the taco places were closed and the French restaurant had lines out the door, so we dropped by here for a quick bite. I’d give it a 2.5 stars. We got the gyro salad and gyro sandwich. What else are we supposed to get when the menu saids Gyro Restaurant. The service was good our waitress was friendly and nice. Food, I’ve had better gyros in the streets of NY. The meat was crispy and oily. It was too crunchy for my taste. It was good for a quick bite so for that I guess it was ok. Small inside seating and smaller outside seating. The outside smelled like urine… I know it’s not their fault but… The service is great the waitress was really nice. It’s just I’ve had better gyros.
