El Flaco Tacos

This is the taco spot my honey and I love coming to. I always say I’m coming for just a burrito but I always have to get a few tacos too. I’m giving 4stars because my phone doesn’t give me the option for 4&½ the only improvement I can recommend is the rice. Its a little plain but aside from that everything’s perfect!

Was actually on our way to get King Taco up the street when the über driver said I know a better spot. This place is really good. The best part honestly is the overall freshness of EVERYTHING (meat, sauce, tortilla) and the cherry on top are the low prices! I live in the valley and i WILL drive 20 – 30 min to eat here. I have only tried carne asada tacos (see picture) and they give you sautéed onions as well, i will be back to try more and update this review!
FYI.
The area might seem kind of sketchy, I wouldn’t pull up in short skirts, shiny necklaces, etc. You catch my drift?

I love Flaco’s Tacos! This is one of those places that I would drive 30 minutes at 2 in the morning if I am having a taco attack! We actually only frequent this food truck after we finish a night of clubbing or bar hopping. One time we even ate here after we already ate. We just had to have them. The truck is cash only and I have only ever had the tacos, but they also serve burritos and quesadillas. They have a decent variety of meats including lengua and cabeza. I love the chorizo con papas and asada tacos. I can eat like 5 my husband can probably eat 10 but he won’t admit it. They sell can sodas as well as agua frescas. The Horchata was decent, for a food truck nothing special we always order it though. When you order the tacos you have a choice of toppings, I love everything. They put salsa on top, and on the side they give you grilled onions that are so amazing I always eat them all, even by themselves. If you find that you need more salsa, just ask them will hand you a little cup of it. They have lime for the taking, everything topped on these tacos just make them that much better. One of the good things about this truck is the service. They take your order, it is decent pricing and not even after 5 minutes the tacos are ready. Don’t be shy to go back for me if you want, not sure what time they are there til but we have gone at almost 3 in the morning! Yes, they were still there and serving up all those flavors. If you are ever in the area or just looking to drive and find some amazing tacos, this is the place. I am dreaming until the next time I get to eat them! I think my only complaint about this place is that I wish they had like chairs or something I am pretty sure that would help business too because if people sit right in front and eat, they are more accessible to ordering more tacos! Yum!

Let me tell you about the best taco joint in LA. Every time we go out to LA to enjoy the night life we surely end up here. The tacos are amazing!!!
I love their birria and cabesa tacos. You can’t expect much service from a two window joint but some how they manage to keep a high clientele, that’s how good the tacos are!
My wife and I usually roll up around 1:40 am to 2:30ish and they always have customers. They make the tacos very fast and the meat is never dried, or cold. They will add a scoop of caramelized onions (the best).

Great taco spot! Always looking for great tacos with great taste. This is the closest you’ll get to actual Mexican tacos. The flavor and taste are great! They are not cheap with the meat.
I’ve been coming here for a couple of times. There is always people but they do a good job of attending and serving. Must try the sauces and grill onions.

Not bad. Although im a taco whore. But im a picky taco whore. They have a habanero sauce u need to ask for :) its spicy but not much flavor so i combined with the red sauce. Id come back strictly on distance and convenience.

Excellent tacos.
Even better with its location and ambiance. Sometimes, you just have to have your tacos from kitchen on wheels.

A mi me gustaba ir a comprar mulitas y mi esposo iba por los burritos porque si estan Buenos. Pero la ultima vez q fui mal servicio. El burrito mal preparado tenía más frijoles que carne y mis mulitas que yo iba especialmente por eso bien malas ese día. Ya no me quedaron ganas de ir.

Dinner for two under $ 15 bucks. You can never go wrong. The whole menu is delicious. Once you try el flaco’s you will be come a fan.

This taco truck is probably the best one I’ve ever been to. I love their carne asada tacos with the grilled onions… even if you hated onions do not have them removed, try this dish :)

Hands down the best tacos in Los Angeles! Tacos, Burritos, huaraches and more. This taco truck does not disappoint. Make sure you ask for the habanero sauce, it has kick!

This place has the best Al Pastor and Asada tacos i have tried in all of LA!

Being that I frequent this place so often and it is my favorite taco in East LA i guess it is time for me to give my opinion on bent tortillas. Let’s start with aesthetics. When it comes to taco trucks this one is less then flashy. It’s not even a truck; it’s a trailer. parked outside this smog shop right off the freeway. When you think of smog and freeway you think dirty. With that said I feel very confident eating here because I feel these guys know how to keep it clean.
So with the negative out of the way these are really good people at this truck. Friendly, quick and clean I prefer to eat here as often as I can. My daughter loves them and agua de piña which I agree is really good and fresh. La salsa is very good. Not so hot that you can’t taste the food which is always a mistake these taco people make. Grilled onions always free and on the side. Good huraches and quesadillas. My favorite are the burritos because you get a great tasting and size for the under 5 bucks. I think it’s 4 but not sure.
They lose one star for location. There is always room for improvement

This taco truck is the best one I have tried, this is my weekend taco truck lol. I would come here more often but the close on the weekends by the time I am off work. This place is so good Sheriffs and CHP eat here, the prices are affordable and it’s just the authentic Los Angeles feeling when you are eating here! They are always busy so you do need to wait in line. Highly recommended

The best tacos in east los, only if the delivered. Or even take credit card, they also need a bigger size on the horchata. I would ratchet all the time but the wife won’t let me I’ll be back soon.

Hands down the best tacos I’ve had in southern Cali… Closest to Mexico that it’ll get. Wayyyy better than King Taco down the street. If you go here you must get the carne asada tacos with the grilled onions, by far my favorite. I drive from OC just to get these tacos. Yummmmm!

Tacos are great at flacos, can’t go wrong with asada and al pastor.
Neighborhood is what it is, east los. Relatively safe though.
I would come here as late as 12 midnight. Never had an issue. Everyone is just here for tacos, so dont worry.

Best taco truck I have been to in LA! I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food especially being from LA and growing up in a Mexican home. This taco truck is deliciousand authentic! Tacos are $ 1…yes, $ 1.
Tips:
Tacos I’ve tried: carne asada, al pastor, birria, tripas, and chorizo con papas
–I recommend them all except the chorizo con papas (it was mush, I like it chunkier)
— If you love onions like I do, ask for some grilled onions on the side for no extra charge.
–I recommend the agua de pina. It’s refreshing! Although it’s not very consistent, some days it’s sweeter than others.
Finally, I only wish they had salsa verde or that their salsa roja was spicier and a bit more flavorful. It gets the job done though.
