Buyer beware. I purchased a piece here five months ago. During that five months I’ve emailed Edgar countless times looking to get a signature strip from the artist for the mounted piece. After initial promises, Edgar is nowhere to be found… no email responses, nothing. There are plenty of places in SoCal to shop for art. I advise you stay away from EVFA.

(I’m reposting this as EVFA has 2 pages on Unilocal) I’d rather not leave any stars on this review as my husband and at least 3 of our friends have had BAD dealings with this Gallerist over the last year. He has sold artwork of ours and we have yet to be paid a year later. We have met artists who tell us they’ve had a tough time working with him as he does very little to sell your work and musicians who are still waiting to be paid for their services. I hate making such negativity public knowledge but after being fobbed off for a year now about our money it’s come time to save someone else the frustration and legal headache over dealing with this person.

This is a cool-loft/Art Gallery +Fun Events in a very industrial part on Alameda. It can be a bit intimidating so do not drive here with a bunch of valuables in car. Currently exhibiting Becca and Colette Miller. I attended a really fun party with 15 different performances that were all eXCELLENT(Ema and the Ghosts, Marshweed, Mooey Moobau, The Cobra Lilies, Dorian Wood…). The acoustics worked out quite nicely. Bathroom is clean and crowd A+
