The owner Ernest is a horrible person. I purchased a scooter from him three years ago. I paid him $ 500 in cash. He said that he had bought it for his son and that his son didn’t like it and it ran, but the battery was dead and needed to be replaced. He took it to a motorcycle place less than a block away. The mechanic there worked on racing bikes, he said «Get your money back. This bike hasn’t run in years and we can’t fix it.» When I went back to Ernest to get my money back a few days later, (Ernest already had the scooter back and I never took possession of the scooter).I asked for my money back. He said that he didn’t have it and could give me half of it and a store credit for the other half. I wasn’t cool with that because I needed a scooter, not furniture that had been sitting out on the street for weeks. He teared up and said he didn’t have the money I agreed to take a store credit, but if I didn’t find anything in his store within 30 days, i wanted my cash back. He agreed. It took him 3 months to give me the first $ 250 back. He gave me a hand written receipt saying that he owed me $ 250 for scooter. The man has been in business for years and doesn’t have any kind of register or receipt book. He scrawled it on a scrap of paper. I went in for months and he didn’t have anything that I could buy that I wouldn’t have to use the credit and a few hundred dollars more. Most of his stuff is damaged as well. I have been back there 5 times. The second to the last time he told me that I better use my credit because it was going to expire. I begged him to give me the money because I needed it for my storage. He refused and said that we never agreed to the cash refund if I couldn’t find anything. He has always claimed he does not have the cash. The last time I went in he said that he had heard I was a drug addict and that I was out of my mind. This man has owed me money for 3 years and is the worst individual I have ever done business with. He buys things from thrift shops and claims to know the history of the items when he doesn’t and then sells them for unbelievable inflated prices, while leaving them outside in the sun all day. Don’t give him your business. He doesn’t deserve ONE star.
