They are beautiful and in my case reveal the essence of the painting .He has done many paintings for me and all different sizes .I highly recommend him and his services. until recently, i found it impossible to have my art framed professionally and at a reasonable price in los angeles. i live on the westside and find the trip downtown to be more than worth it for chris’ quality and expertise. he framed a rather large print for me in such a short amount of time that it seemed like a miracle. and his creative eye for amazing, reclaimed wood truly brought my print to life.
i will absolutely be using the services of downtown frame shop again. i cannot recommend them highly enough.

Looking for a great place to get your art work framed in a timely manner and at the right price? I was looking for a simple black frame for my 48×36 canvas, nothing fancy and nothing that would cost me an arm and leg. I was lucky enough to find this studio. I met with Chris, the owner, a young hip guy who listened carefully to my needs as he showed me what he could do. He works with reclaimed wood which, he can make look organic and raw or clean with a semi gloss finish… basically, he works to suit your needs. Turn around time was not up to a 7 – 8 days like other places, I got my painting back in a matter of 4 days! I was impressed. Chris even carried my art to my car, now that’s service. I highly recommend this frame shop to all you artists looking for something reasonable and made of REAL wood not pressed, fabricated junk. His wife is an excellent artist by the way… when you come here, you’re dealing with REAL artists, not sales people. Couldn’t be happier with the result! :)
