$ 1.50 for a well-constructed empanada with a choice of side sauces and a pleasant conversation with the man behind the counter. He had run out of some empanada options because of Happy Hour, but the free bit of sweet queso pie/cake(I don’t know what to call it) was *very* delicious.

omg omg omg! SO good! Was welcomed with a friendly smile from the man behind the counter, the place was clean and inviting, cozy as are all the restaurants on that block. I ordered a Glow Smoothie with blueberries and cucumber, it was very light, not overly sweet, and very refreshing. The empanadas are delicious, the dough is perfectly light and surprisingly free of greasiness. I didn’t feel guilty about having two. The vegetable empanada was made with corn and broccolli inside. The corn was tender and sweet, and the broccoli was flavorful and still had a nice bite to it. The vegetable empanada went great with the creamy spicy avocado dressing, and don’t miss the house chimichurri sauce, delicious! Also save room for dessert, the guava cream cheese empanada: sweet, crispy, gooey and served warm? Glorious! Allllllll of that for under $ 10. I love this place. Go now!

Hadn’t seen this place around before so decided to try it out. The Cuban Sandwich was well made with quality ingredients. Cool owner too. Looking forward to trying the empanadas.

The empanadas here make Dina’s have some staying power on Gaylee. They are cheep and tasty and filling. A triple threat for the cheep college student(read: me) and as such I know that I will be stopping in for a snack as I pass on by. I hope that they do well, it’s notoriously hard to stay in business in westowod. I recommend ya give them a try as every empanada I have had has been on point!

The most cost effective meal on the whole street. Empanadas are usually 2.50(before you get your student discount), but between 2pm and 5pm, they’re only 1.50. I’ve tried the Angus beef and the ham and cheese. Both have high quality fillings: Braised shredded beef and cubes of real ham instead of ground beef and ham loaf. The beef goes well with their chimichuri and the ham with their spicy white sauce.

First time I went, tried the Cuban and a smoothie. Were both very good, but what inspired the five star review was the empanadas I had the second time I went. So delicious. The main guy running it is always super nice and friendly, and you can’t beat happy hour empanadas. Two empanadas and an iced tea for $ 4.50. Cheapest meal in Westwood, and amazing quality.

Just tried the Pan con Chumpe specialty sandwich, it’s a must when you come here! Very great flavor, and good size for one too. I also got my favorite chocolate chip cookies and they are freshly baked! Best cookies! Will be back for more!!!

Seemed like a cool new lunch spot but turned out to be a disappointment. I tried the speciality sandwich pan con Chumpe and the Mora smoothie. The sandwich was good but not amazing, and certainly not worth the price of $ 8. I expected the French Roll of the sandwich to be toasted, but it wasn’t. What I did like was the selection of sauces on a side counter that you could put on the sandwich to spice it up. Also, the Mora smoothie was quite bland to me. It’s a blend of blackberries, milk, and honey but I barely tasted the blackberries. I might give this place another shot to try their empanadas, but I’m in no hurry. Oh and 10% discount for students with ID. I didn’t notice the huge poster on the side upon entering saying so until after I ordered. $ 5 minimum for credit card

Empanadas are pretty good. Not as bready as other types, these are thinner of crust and heavier on the meat, relatively speaking. Sandwiches were hit or miss. The roast beef had nice thick cuts of beef and cheese, bread was pretty decent, but the vegetables are more of a distraction than an enhancement, and the roast beef itself wasn’t particularly flavorful. The cuban sandwich my friend had– he reported it was an epic disappointment.

This is the new spot in Westwood for lunch has arrived. I have tried three of there sandwiches and they were all great! The pan con Chumpe was very tasty. The roasted chicken was delicious and the roast beef sandwich was great! The teas are perfect being a tea person! I tried two smoothies. I tried the Mora smoothie and the Passion Fruit. My favorite was the Mora but I’d take Passion fruit smoothie as a nice desert after my meal any day.
