I love this park! Now they have lighting at night. They are on sensors so if you want to take your dog out for a walk it is not creepy like it used to be when the park first opened. I like to jog to the other park down the street and stop at this one to stretch and continue on. A lot of room for kids to play. They have a cool rope apparatus that I have even climbed myself(not for adults but I can’t just let the kids have all the fun! Haha)

I have a wild godson who does backflips and jumps like crazy! So the climbing rope set up is awesome for him. He has yet to try the rock climbing part. Yeah yeah there’s not a lot of shade, but living 2 minutes away I like to come like an hour before the sun sets plus I don’t like going out when it’s hot so… I don’t think it’s such a bad thing. AND gives you a reason to get off your butt and play with your kids. I really like this park so far. I just see a lot of families hanging around. No homeless or little cholitos that hang around the nearby parks. Yay.

It’s a super cute park with fun things for kids to do! I’m concerned with the lack of safety. There is neighbor hood access which is perfectly fine only thing is that groups of men playing loud music come through and just sit and watch the children and families. It’s odd and very unsettling. Another thing is the sanitation! I get that it is a park but I don’t like how beer bottles and condoms and other things are lying on the ground where kids are supposed to play. There should be some sort of clean up crew? There have been some sketchy people/things at that park and good citizens have called the police every time. I’m glad to see that the community cares! Last thing is that you have to come before the sunset bc there is no lighting at night! Combined with the safety and sanitation issues, I think it’s best to get there early! You have less chances of encountering the problems I did!

I am very glad they added this park to the neighborhood. Although the Devonwood park is nearby, I was tired of seeing a scary looking empty area. Now, it has been replaced by a small, but nice park with a modern childrens’ play area that the locals can enjoy. There are a few benches and small trees that are still growing. Keep in mind that the park in not gated, so please watch your kids.

What a beautiful park. This great addition to this community of Mission Hills and Arleta is a gem. It has a small walking trail. Plenty of seating, picnic tables, nice landscaping and a covered playground that is very intriguing and will help to bring your child’s imaginations to life. Great job LA City department of Recreation and Parks. Please do, continue to build more parks or update existing parks. Use this park as an example where children can enjoy a safe environment to play for future generations to come.
