WOW, if I could give this place more stars I would. I called for a last minute order. They were able to accommodate an 8 inch custom cake with edible print. Jack was super helpful throughout the whole experience, including positioning the image, providing suggestions. etc. Payment was online and super easy. Not only did the cake came out with an amazing look, the red vevet flavor was probably THEBEST we’ve ever had anywhere else. It’s super moist, chocolaty, and not too sweet. What a pleasant surprise?! I highly recommend this place!

If I gain 10lbs by the end of the year, Delicious Arts is definitely the one I’m blaming. I stumbled upon this place while driving home one day. I live 2 min away from Delicious Arts and it’s been a while since the last bakery in this neighborhood closed down. I popped in not expecting much, just looking to satisfy my sweet tooth. Then something ridiculous happened. I TASTEDTHEBESTREDVELVETCUPCAKEEVER! I didn’t even like red velvet, but that cupcake converted me. Just to top it off, Jack makes the most delicious mocha I’ve had in a long time. He uses homemade chocolate ganache for the mocha, not the cheap Hershey’s syrup or cocoa powder like other cafes. A while ago, I ordered a whole cake for my godmother and she«inhaled half of the cake» before she could stop herself. Just like that, I fell in love with this place and I always stop by on the way to work if I’m not in a rush. Thank you Jack and Donna!

Thank you, Donna and Jack, for your delicious cakes!!! I have been ordering cakes from Delicious Arts for each of my team member’s birthdays for about a year now. I work at a game dev studio so we’re constantly creating hilarious art for the cakes and we look forward to it. I’m pretty sure we’ve tried every flavor and they never disappoint. I also appreciate the fact that all the ingredients are organic. Donna and Jack are extremely talented and helpful in working with our needs and budget. I highly recommend Delicious Arts!

From one artist to another, Donna is an amazing artist. She not only can make a beautiful cakes, they are also delicious. Donna created a cake for my sister’s wedding reception in Down Town LA. There were few other bakeries I looked into but Donna was the first to reply. The cake was my gift to my sister so I expected a perfection. I found a design my sister liked so I asked Donna to duplicate the design. During the process, she was very patient and helpful, not to mention flexible with my requests. When the cake arrived at the restaurant just in time for the guest’s arrival, she didn’t disappoint. The cake was a piece of art, THANKYOUDONNA! PS. My favorite weekend coffee spot is Groundworks on Larchmont. As I was waiting for Donna that day, I ordered their soy latte(or maybe it was a almond latte?), it was one of the best lattes I’ve had, now I am hooked!

Yum yum yum. Red velvet, chocolate and vanilla cupcakes hands down the best! Also, perfect to make a cake out of cupcake tasting so you know what kind of quality you are taking . They also have gluten free coffee and cupcakes for those vegetarians out there.

Oh my goodness – I can’t say enough about what an awesome cake we ended up with. I decided to try this place based off of the positive Unilocal reviews, and I wasn’t led astray. I was looking for a birthday cake for my 3 year old twins birthday. The party had a Ponyo theme(from the Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli animated movie). Kind of obscure, right? So as I was talking to the girl at the front counter trying to explain what I wanted, Jack popped out of the back and explained, «I know Ponyo! I love that movie!» So he helped us conceptualize the whole thing and really bring the cake to life. It turned out perfectly – and the staff was a real pleasure to work with. The cake was tasty – not overly sweet, a tad on the dense side but really good flavor. I would go back in a heart beat. It’s just a great bunch of creative and accommodating folks that turned out an amazing end product!

Called in to place an order for some cupcakes and macarons & they were happy to accommodate my special request. They were super helpful in helping choose flavors(the salted caramel and red velvet were just as good as promised) and were really nice about my gluten free requirements. They were so friendly, I can’t wait to go back!

So, I wanted coffee, but not Starbucks or Coffee Bean. I was at a red light and Unilocaled«coffee», «current location». With an immediate left, I found my way to Delicious Arts. Technology at its best. Beautiful cakes and treats. I had their coffee cake muffin, with a swirl of chocolate in the cake part, and checked in on Unilocal for a free mini cupcake, salted caramel.(Again, tech at its best.)They were both delicious, as was the Chai latte. Small, but cute and very clean spot. A few high table tops to enjoy your treats at. Probably good they don’t have more comfortable seating or I might not leave. Enjoy!

I really wanted to like this bakery, but the cupcakes were just not 5 star cupcakes. I got a dozen mini cupcakes for about $ 20 for my father in law’s birthday and was sorely disappointed in how dry they were. The flavors were good and I think they would be fantastic if the cake was more moist. We tried the coffee almond, red velvet and strawberry banana. I would probably give them another try in the near future, since everyone has their off days and the flavor profiles were spot on. I like supporting small businesses and the people here were really nice. I didn’t try anything else, so that will be on my to do list. I’m hoping my next trip here will allow me to experience what everyone else on Unilocal has tasted. There were a couple small tables inside but it is a pretty small space, so I wouldn’t bring a group of people here to grab dessert or anything.

One of the best croissants I’ve had in LA. Yum! And yes, I do judge bakeries by the quality of their croissants. The cupcakes are also very good. The icing is perfectly smooth, not sugary grainy like most places, and not overly sweet either. The shop is tiny, and street parking is hit and miss. But the quality is top notch. Love it.

The best pastry chef in LA area! After numerous searches for a custom cake and dessert table for my baby shower, Delicious Arts stood out the most! Donna always listened to my exact vision and always delivers exceptional masterpiece cakes and desserts! Her prices are also very affordable and finished products are always meticulous. She is such a talented sweetheart and such a joy to work with. It’s been 2 years since my first baby shower and I had been going to her since! If you’re looking for the best custom Cake/Dessert table for your special occasion, you’ve found the right place!

The 5-star reviews are real. This bakery is a gem, delivering top-notch cakes, pastries and coffee without any pretense. Delicious Arts is run by a pair of talented and down-to-earth siblings, Donna and Jack. I come in weekly, sometimes more, and have nothing but admiration and respect for the work they have put into this place since it opened at the start of 2015. This is a boutique bakery that offers a simple menu of pastries and baked goods, including some vegan and gluten-free options. One of my favorite items here are their mini cupcakes… you can’t go wrong with any flavor, but if I had to choose my personal favorite, it would be the *almond cake with coffee buttercream*. The frosting here is smooth as silk, the cakes are flavorful and not dry, and overall, the cupcakes are not too sweet for being what they are(desserts!). Donna uses fresh and quality ingredients in her baking, and it’s evident after just one bite of these cupcakes! Another go-to choice here are their *homemade oreos*, as other Unilocalers have raved about too! I order these items at pretty much every visit, and I’ve just found that over time, this place puts out excellent and consistent quality! Last month, I was lucky enough to attend a Macaron Class here, run by Donna and her pastry chef friend, Jennifer Smith from Napa Valley. It was an intimate, hands-on baking class where they shared their tips and tricks in the Delicious Arts kitchen. It was fun, informative and I can’t wait to attend more classes as they roll them out in the coming months! Lastly, Donna makes gorgeous and jaw-dropping custom cakes and I can’t wait to place an order for one someday! I’m super picky with cakes for the parties I throw, but can already tell I won’t be disappointed with a Delicious Arts cake. Just take a look at Donna’s cake gallery and portfolio… Delicious Arts is aptly named!

After finishing brunch down the street, a couple of friends and I were looking for something sweet. Having passed this place on our walk to brunch, we decided to try it out. With a hefty assortment of sweets and warm and cold beverages, Delicious Arts is a little boutique dessert shop with a beautiful display and a few tables and chairs. We tried several of their mini cupcakes — red velvet and banana — and an apple pie macaron. I’m not a fan of macarons usually but this one was excellent. It really captured the flavor of apple pie, which is one of my favorite desserts. When I’m off of my brief healthy eating stint, I’ll have to return to this place to try the homemade oreos, more cupcakes and macarons.

Homemade Oreos to die for!!! But it’s really about the cakes. There’s a new bakery in the Culver City/Century City area and it’s a gem. It’s a little hard to find(there’s no wall signage, look for the curb sign). If you are in the area, stop in to get the Oreos. I wanted to eat 7 or 8 of them like I do with regular Oreos, but after three of them I was stuffed. That’s fine, that means I have snacks for the office for the next week. Two tightly packed, chocolate hard cookie shells with either plain cream or mint cream(Mint Oreos!). I liked the density of the cookie, but what really stood out what that I could taste the salt in the cookie shell. I know, you’re saying, «What???» It’s not a salty cookie at all, there’s just this wisp of a salt linger that plays out at the end that blends with the sweet cream perfectly. There are so many tempting little things here… Red Velvet Cupcakes Brown Butter Cake with Vanilla Buttercream Cupcakes Vanilla Cream Puffs Chocolate Chip Cookies Peanut Butter Cookies Green Tea Butter Cookies Macarons(the French kind) They are still tinkering with different and new offerings so the list will probably change. They use Intelligentsia Coffee and have a La Marzocco so you can get a legit cup a joe or a shot of espresso. I talked with Chef Donna and the most interesting fact to me is that her passion is for making cakes, which is the primary reason for opening the store. She had been baking cakes at home and she started getting numerous big projects and complex orders. If you want to impress someone with a themed cake, Delicious Arts does amazing work. Some of the designs I’ve seen included a Ferrari, a Christian Louboutin Shoe, a Chanel theme, a Louis Vuitton Suitcase. Not a photo of them on a flat sheet, it’s a 3D sculpture. When I was there I could see that behind the counter she was working on some designs for her cakes that week. There were all these flowers and I could not tell the difference between the candied flower and the real thing(see photos). The detail on the flowers and seashells is intricate and stunning. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised after seeing her schooling. Chef Donna went to a four year university, then decided she wanted to bake, so she got schooled at Le Cordon Bleu, the French Culinary Institute in New York and even landed one of those rare, prized internships at the French Laundry in Yountville(they no longer have an internship program!) under the tutelage of Thomas Keller. I will be going in for the bakery items, but if you want a work of art that doubles as a cake, Delicious Arts is that gallery of sweet art.
