Went to lunch this week with a girlfriend and the manager couldn’t have been better. My husband has been in the restaurant business and this manager is an example of what a restaurant manager should be. He was on the floor, walking around and checking on everyone, not sitting in an office or hiding in the kitchen. My girlfriends coffee was cold so he personally got her a new cup and came back with every sweetener they had. Food was good and all in all, a very good experience… we will be going back.

Took my teenage son there today for grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. We both got the combo. When we were offered a choice of chips or carrots I was a little confused. Seemed like a choice for a kid’s meal. And that’s what we got. A few ounces of soup and half a grilled cheese. Not a large piece of panini bread, but small white loaf bread. The food wasn’t terrible, but the portion was tiny. I paid almost $ 20 for 2 kids meals. So disappointing to receive such poor value. My son was still hungry so I ended up shelling out $ 20 for a coffee cake to take home. Won’t be going back.

Had to grab a quick beverage in the Beverly Center. All of the walking and shopping had my throat parched. Walked into a lovely decorated atmosphere. I know it’s a chain with a million locations but this one had a nice ambiance to it. Maybe it’s because it wasn’t overly crowded. Ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and got my drink; all in about 3 minutes. They spelled my name wrong though(how hard is it to spell DENNIS?). So it was spelled Dennise and a guy hat had my drink kept shouting«Denise! Denise!» And he was looking for a lady. I was like«I’m Dennis. They spelled my name wrong. He gave my a quick chuckle, grabbed a straw for me, and told me to have a nice day. A nice day I will have.

I think this is a typical example of an just ok place. Nothing more though. What I liked about it, is that it has a very nice décor, simple but still cute. It’s also very spacious, so it’s easy to find a quiet corner for a relaxing breakfast. I was also impresed with very tasty looking cookies and muffins and basket for kids with cryons and coloring books. Staff was very nice and welcoming and the waiting time not bad. Coffe was good too. However, the food was really average in taste. I ordered Buttermilk Pancakes with Bacon and Scrambled Eggs and it was a very bland dish. Pancakes were soft but pretty dry and heavy. Even the syrup didn’t help, becon didn’t have a taste at all and the eggs were too long on a pan. Not that it was bad, it just wasn’t good. My fiancé ordered some kind of sandwich and had the same experience. Their sweets are probably better though.

I’m not one to give out too many one stars and in fairness I have never gotten sick from Corner Bakery(so I guess that’s a plus) making me torn between a one and two star. Also, they seem to have a nice staff. Unfortunately, that is pretty much where the pleasantries of an experience here end. The food is just plain bad at this place. The décor makes you think that you are entering a Panera-style quick service restaurant, but the quality lags far behind. I cringe every time we get it catered for lunch and often consider eating an alternative lunch. While I have yet to have the soup or pasta(which I hope are better), the salads and sandwiches are tasteless and overpriced for what they are. While not expensive, the sandwich is nothing that you cannot easily make yourself with the same packaged deli meet from Ralph’s or Pavilions, a tomato and piece of arugula. The flavor is so bland that I have at times had to drink a soda to accompany it just to get the taste of out my mouth. The salad offers plenty of dry lettuce which needs to be drenched in a low-end package sauce. Seriously, you are better off getting a head of iceberg lettuce from the grocery store and mixing some oil and vinegar yourself. If you’re thinking of going for breakfast, do yourself a favor and skip. The pastries are just as bad as the lunch options. Thus far, the best thing I have had was the potato chips at Corner Bakery, though I have heard decent things about the potato soup. Otherwise, just skip and go to a place like Mendocino Farms for the same price point, higher quality ingredients and a much better taste experience. On top of that, Beverly Connection parking can be a nightmare. I’ve given the CB many tries. Each time I have been disappointed.

I’ve been to this corner bakery when it was located on the other side of the street where saks off fifth is right now, and back then the layout of the store was disorganized. Since their relocation they’ve definitely stepped up on their storefront! It’s easy to tell where the line starts and the booths are kept much more neat this time! It makes eating here that much more comfortable. I had their chicken pomodori sandwich and its delicious! I shop at beverly center across almost weekly so I’ll definitely be making more stops here for a bite now :)

Love me the Corner Bakery, I have to say, I end up there twice a week, because of the potato soup(to die for), along with the chicken pomodorie panini(add avocado, it does wonders). The location itself is not ideal, I mean it is not to noticeable(most of the time people drive by it, I sure did more than a few times). The staff is so awesome every time I come in, very friendly and just overall makes you feel comfortable. Make sure to sign up on their email listing, you could get a free dessert or some kind of dollar amount off a purchase and so forth.

The food was just okay. The waitress, Aida, was exceedingly rude to me. I won’t be coming back. It’s like a shit version of Panera.

Seriously disappointing meal. The grilled cheese sandwich was ridiculous… even for 4.29…bad bread, nearly no cheese, and no taste… tasted mostly of grill oil. Out of chips, so no chips, and a 5 dollar bowl of mediocre tomatoe basil soup. Expected more for 12.51. Past food much better but this meal is not worth it…

Love this place for a quick bite… always friendly and staffed with right amount of employees who are always happy to help. Plenty of seating and a great selection of sweets for after your meal :)

My daughter and I hit up Corner Bakery after a little shopping in the plaza. We had the pesto chicken and chopped salad which we shared. We also added a Caesar salad. I must say I think this is a cute and reasonably-priced lunch spot. The dressing on the chopped salad was BOMB. The sandwich a little small but who needs the bread anyway. Our total cost was about 13.00 bucks but we were both able to eat. Honestly, that’s almost equivalent for two to eat at Jack In The Box. The young lady at the counter was very nice. This is a great place to people watch and grab lunch!

This location gets really busy and they have ample seating inside with plenty of booths and even an outside seating area. They have plenty of workers there which is essential to keep the place running smoothly and quickly. We placed out order, found a booth, and I watched as the friendly staff brought over everyone’s food. They were all very calm and on top of things even though the place was getting busy. The server brought over our food and I asked for another place setting which she promptly brought back and remembers to do so after being rerouted three times :) The chicken carbonara pasta was creamy and really delicious. I would totally recommend. The entrée size is great to share with another person! Just wish my side sale wasn’t so teeny tiny.

I love Corner Bakery Café! The tomato basil soup and the asian edamame salad are perfect for veggie lovers and my mom loves the chicken salad. The hazelnut cream coffee is delish! John the manager keeps the place running perfect. Comfy booths, great takeout, and polite staff. I highly recommend.

Spacious and lots of booth seatings, lots of outlets. Decent wifi on evenings. Awesome $ 1 per hour parking for up to 4 hours for the Beverly Connection plaza garage parking lot. In plaza with lots of discount clothing stores including Nordstrom rack, Ross, Mervyn. This plaza is across the Beverly center mall. I was never a huge fan of Corner Bakery food but its decent. They have a good amount of flavored coffee and drinks. Surprised their wifi was pretty good. However, its also not the cleanest Corner Bakery Café, be prepare to clean up a bit for a booth you want.

The southwest salad was just OK, poor presentation and it didn’t taste fresh… it looked like it was thrown together with no love pride or concern. Enjoy!

Got an offer from Corner Bakery to try out their new Grilled Flats. My husband and I had to go to Beverly connection anyway so we decided to give it a try. It was my first time trying Corner Bakery out. You make your way to the front and order at the register. Take your number and sit down. We ordered the: Cuban Press Panini — Fire-roasted pulled pork, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, dill pickles and yellow mustard on pressed ficelle. The sandwich comes out and I just laughed. It was so dinky. You get a choice of mac & cheese, soup, or salad as a side. I got the mac n cheese with bacon and tomatoes. The blandest mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Roast beef and provolone cheese Sandwich — grilled mushrooms, peppers and onions, topped with cheddar sauce and served with our signature dipping sauce. This was also so sad. We got a chili with this and at least the chili was good. Southwest Chicken Grilled Flat — grilled chicken and crunchy slaw drizzled with avocado ranch dressing and topped with corn and tomato salsa and house-pickled jalapenos on warm, grilled flatbread. Blegh. They dont give validation for parking also. Dont think I would be back.

I’ve been here a couple of times for lunch and it’s the perfect place to grab lunch by yourself during the week. They have small two person booths with free wifi, outlets and a quiet enough space to think if you need to concentrate. The staff is very friendly, especially the people who bring you your food. Each time I visit I spend about $ 12 – 14. Visit #1– I ordered the soup/salad combo and selected the chicken noodle(tasty and satisfying) and caesar salad(a little sad but good enough) with a brownie(too fudge-like for my preference. I liked the chocolate chunks though. Overall a 3 star experience. Visit #2– I tried the chicken panini(super crisp bread and fresh ingredients) side mixed salad(spicy! Where did the spice come from? Not a fan. I have a very low spicy threshold btw) and a chocolate chip cookie(delicious! Large chocolate chunks, softs and chewy) Overall a 4 star experience. So far the only thing I’d reorder is the cookie. Will update again after a few more visits.

Smh. I’m not even sure why I was trying to eat here. Wasn’t that hungry but I might be at an event for the next few hours. So why not. Corner bakery has always been solid in my eyes. Anyways I get to the register. I order my food and rather than take my money she turns away and gets distracted. Almost to the point of forgetting that I was there. Seriously. Then without asking me, she said to go right? Ugh no. After I paid there was no thank you, no receipt, besides here’s your number. I reached over and grabbed my receipt. I’m not sure who my cashier was, but one of the servers behind her asked what’s the difference between a latte and cappuccino. Seriously. Sigh. Shame on you Beverly connection Corner Bakery. At this rate I could careless what my food tastes like. This CB shares a structure with target, Marshall, and old navy. Pushing is $ 1/hr for the first four hrs. I almost feel bad for leaving a one star because the server who brought me food was courteous. And my panini wasn’t too bad.
