The Consular section is open Monday, Wednesdays & process Visas applications. The application process is getting complicated as the requirements change all the time. Visas are expensive for Tourist or Business visa in which you’ll need a letter from the Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baku in which you’ll have to apply thru an agency in Azerbaijan to have it sent to you or the consulate it has to be original. I decided with the fact that I’ll be in Baku for 4 days is just get a Transit Visa which is $ 20.00 good for a week have a letter of invitation from Hotel .The thing was with this consualte was they won’t forward your passport to the Armenian Consulate if you’re going to both places so do it the other way around. Going to Nagorno-Karabakh make sure you go to Azerbaijan first as they won’t permit you in Azerbaijan with evidence of visit there nor issue an Azeri Visa if it’s in your passport. The visas for Nagorno-Karabakh are issued in Yerevan Armenia. Otherwise the Azeri visas are issued in 5 working days .They will answer the phone with no problems to questions.
