The best donut place in Eagle Rock definitely. I am giving them only three stars, because the coffee is not as good as their donuts.

I found Colorado donuts on Unilocal after looking for something different for a birthday cake. I saw their pictures and was sold. I placed an order for pickup for the next day. Once I went to pick it up, the cake donut was ready on time. We opened the box to check it out and I noticed it was missing a piece(exclamation mark) from the original order. The worker, one of the two guys I placed the order with, was really nice & helpful about the error. He suggested a few options and finally made one with one of the donuts in the case. It was a bummer that it wasn’t a freshly made to order donut but I’m glad they fixed the mistake on the spot. Overall, they have a great selection of donuts, from the classics to the new hipster donuts and even vegan options. The highlight was the red velvet donut, which was really moist and tasty. I would definitely stop by again if I’m in the area.

I knew I’ve seen these donuts before when I tried them out last night at a friends birthday dinner. This was in a plaza where I use to work at the local video store! The owner there is really nice and the donuts are always fresh! And if you are lucky, their scratchers are pretty loaded too! I use to win a couple of bucks there and turn around and buy their sandwiches for lunch!

Colorado donuts have some of the best donuts in the city! I’ve only come here twice but they always have a big selection to choose from. I am never disappointed. Honestly I think they are better than California Donuts. One of my favorites is the Nutella filled! It is super sweet so you should get a drink to help wash it down but it is super delicious. Their croissants are also great! I tried the ham and cheese. It was huge! Their prices are decent but more than you’d find at a regular donut shop, but they are worth it. Friendly employees too that make the place more inviting. I will definitely be back to try more of their other flavors!

This place is so much more than your typical hole in the wall donut shop. Also, I’m going to say it: this place rivals Voodoo. This was our second visit to Colorado Donuts. It was a Friday night and they were already out of ube. We didn’t bother to park in this hectic lot. There was plenty of street parking off of Colorado. The yummy sounding cronut flavors jumped out the most. The cronuts, as a whole, were delightful. I was a little worried that the filling would sog up the flaky layers, but it didn’t. I’m not sure if it was the glaze, the butteriness of the croissant, or the generous filling, but the bite I took just oozed with flavor. It was heavenly. Strawberries and cream– even though it’s not strawberry season, it just looked pretty. I detected a good berry flavor, but this can only be better during the summer months. The red velvet cake donut was another pretty donut and I am a sucker for red velvet. It was cake-y and exactly what I was expecting this to taste like. Considering we showed up close to 9:00, it wasn’t the least bit dry. I wrapped the donuts in plastic to have the next morning and they all retained their freshness. The Oreo cronut had a mocha-y cream filling with crushed up Oreo. This would be the ultimate stoner snack. The Nutella filled, yeast raised donut was melt in your mouth delicious. The candy bar donuts were something of an afterthought, but I am so glad we got to try them. There’s a whole snickers bar and twix inside these donuts! We will definitely be back to try the ube donut. They now offer vegan donuts, but the pretty berry one was sold out and I was in total fat kid mode.

I went here around 7:30pm on a Friday to satisfy my craving for ube donuts, only to find out that they didn’t have any because they were still waiting for their supplier(of ube flour, I think?) I would’ve been bummed to hear this, but I saw their creative selection of donuts on display and totally forgot all about the ube. I must say that this place really knows how to make their donuts right. They are light and airy, sweet and savory. And unlike other donut shops, the donuts here were not the least bit stale by 7:30pm. Love this place and will definitely come back! Props to this Filipino-operated donut shop!

Made a stop here after hearing about this spot from a friend. She swear they got the best cronuts in the area. Indeed she was right! This shop is happening on a Friday night. With many people playing lottery or whatever that’s going on on the tv screen. We were in and out within 10 minutes. Not only they make different types of cronuts, there’s also gourmet donuts. Everything looked fresh and tasty so you’d definitely have a hard time deciding what to get. We ended up getting 3 cronuts and a donut with nutella filling. They were all super delicious. Yum! If you’re in the area. Make a quick stop for a sugar fix. :)

This place has been bookmarked for awhile on my «to try places». Finally got the chance to go yesterday. Fairly good selection of donuts, and a few imaginative ones. Bought the cookie monster and cap’n crunch donuts. It was good, but way too sweet(obviously). Also, the cap’n crunch cereal went a stale since I didn’t eat it immediately. Got a free donut for checking into Unilocal and was honored. It’s located at a busy strip mall, so parking is a little challenging. But no worries, there’s ample residential parking.

I’m not a big fan of donuts but I just wanted to say that their donuts are very unique. Lots of selections to choose from. I bought four dozens and I know how hard it could be for the worker to pack four dozens all with different cronuts and donuts, and the workers are very VERY patient. They have wonderful service :) The Oreo donut didn’t taste unique to me, just tasted like the original glazed donuts. However the other donuts are worth trying ! Very unique and delicious I came here today and the parking was packed. Luckily we found street parking !

I’ve been to a few donut places and I have to say, this one is AMAZING! The place is very small and looks like any other donut shop but it’s definitely not like any other! They definitely don’t let the building bring in the customers. It’s the donuts that keep people coming back! The guy behind the counter was very helpful and patient when it came to my girlfriend and I picking our donuts. We literally wanted so many more donuts than what we got. The flavors here are amazing! They got everything from regular donuts to things like Oreo cronuts! There’s really no going wrong with any of the flavors! The place is clean and has plenty of seating so you can sit down and enjoy your donut. This place definitely knows what they are doing when it comes to donuts! The vibe is very home-y and you just feel comfortable here. I definitely recommend coming here when you’re craving a donut or you just want some really nice pictures!

UBEDONUTS!!! Whoo hoo! Pretty much any place that has ube sweets deserves 5 stars in my book. The donuts were absolutely delicious and if this place was close to me I would always come here. Love the icing and the crunchy things on top of the donut. yumm

Upon driving up to place, I won’t lie, it looks like a little dingy donut shop and I was a little nervous the donuts weren’t going to be as pretty as my boyfriend and I thought. However, walking in, it had a very homey, hole-in-the-wall kind of feel. We walked up to the window and there were soooo many good looking donuts! My boyfriend and I definitely had a hard time choosing which ones we were going to get! The guy behind the counter was really nice too. When asking for the red velvet, I wanted a specific one since it was more aesthetic, and he had no problem with getting that one for me. He was super nice and patient the whole time, and even gave us a free strawberry donut! The place itself is pretty clean I would say. Not extremely pristine and modern or anything, but it adds the vibe I think. There’s not too much seating inside either, so my boyfriend and I went somewhere else. There was enough seating for us and it wasn’t busy when we got there at around 11:30 or so, but we still just wanted to go somewhere else. The taste itself was amazing! I tried the fruity pebbles, and it was one of the best tasting donuts I’ve had. I would definitely recommend this place!

I love all of the mom and pop shops in Eagle Rock. We stopped by while considering visiting Trader Joe’s next door. Let’s just say that we came here instead as we got distracted. The donuts and cronuts were good. The option to add ice cream was nice. The seating is a bit crowded inside.

I love certain unique donuts like the pb and banana at Stan’s in Westwood. But generally I’m all about the actual donut. If I’m going to eat a donut I don’t mess with sugary cereal toppings and already made candy bar type ingredients inside. Yes they have a fun variety of «designer donuts and cronuts». To each their own. BUT at CD… one exception like if you place a couple strips of savory bacon with maple. Now we’re talking!!! I’ll give them an A for the creativity for most of their donuts. CD also do make a really good fresh hot apple fritter. A I’d like them a wee bit more if they were open later. OK who am I kidding…24/7 is what I mean. Offering to reheat a cold donut in the microwave does not count as a hot donut. Sorry.

Munchies? Late night sweet tooth? Come come! Came after Sunday dinner around 9:30PM looking for something sweet that can possibly be good up till morning & ta-da! DONUTS: Got the ube crumb & the m&ms/oreo crumble. Both pretty to look at. Great pairing with your usual morning coffee. Pretty much an enhanced version of your regular plain glazed donut. Although, these donuts are much TOOSWEET for my likings. You also get a free regular donut with purchase after checking in on Unilocal which is both a great temptation and marketing strategy. Why wouldn’t you buy another? Heads up: — DONOT follow Google maps. You have been warned. Go with waze for this one, guys. — I believe morning has a way better variety than whatever’s out past 9PM.

This here is DONUTWIZARDRY with the DELIGHTS they’re doling out!!! C’MON!!! How could these donut masters in Eagle Rock not place in best donut category at the 2015LA Donut Fest!!! No way!!! We came on a whim, craving a good donut while cruising down the 134Fwy. Awwight Unilocal, whacha gots ’round here? Turns out, there are a buncha choices for donuts in the area. Everything looks the same except da pics at this joint. Once I saw that Reese’s donut though… SOLD! 2 miles from the Harvey Rd. exit, about 1 mile from the Colorado Blvd./Eagle Rock exit, so easy to get to. Parking lot is small. Actually not much craziness surrounding it this Sunday morning, pleasantly calm with no crowds to endure. Jeremy & Linda were runnin’ da show, and gave a welcoming greeting. Easy to talk to, with no beef despite all the questions I was slinging. We ordered a few things… *REESE’S CRONUT: YUM!!! Worth the trip just for this morsel, as it makes this p-nut butter fiend’s taste buds dance with delight! Cronut is crisp, light & flaky. Full size Reese’s inside surrounded with chocolate as well as crumbled on top… Nom, NOM! Not as dense a peanut butter load compared to Stan’s peanut butter creation. *FERREROROCHERCRONUT: I thought the Reese’s was perfect, but this was even better!!! Same perfect cronut, but with Ferrero Rocher’s inside surrounded by a light chocolate cream & crumbled on top. Sinfully delish! * STRAWBERRYCREAMCRONUT: Another winner! Fresh strawberries inside & on top. Cream inside has a nice smooth texture and not overwhelmingly sweet. Cronut was again, quality stuff. Got the last one for the morning, so these must disappear fast! Couldn’t even get a pic the first time cuz my young squires chomped it up so quick! 2nd visit… only 2 left… Mine, mine, MINE!!! None for you! ;) *“DIRT&WORMS” OREOCHOCOLATEGLAZEDRAISED: The young squires thought this was equal to a fresh Krispy Kreme glazed! Bold claim, but these disappeared just as fast so must be some truth. When offered fresh Krispy Kreme later in the week, they immediately replied, «Not Colorado Donuts!!!» Sheesh! *ICECREAMDONUTSANDWICH: 12 flavors of Thrifty Ice Cream here to put on whatever donut you want. I chose a glazed French Crueller with Coconut Pineapple ice cream. With a BIG hefty scoop between a soft donut, I shouldn’t complain at all. Yes, I sure did enjoy it, BUT the hole in the middle of the donut makes it a bit messy. Next time no hole in the donut ;) Would we come back? ABSOLUTELY! Easy recommendation!!!

not a ton of great donut shops close to my hood outside of Winchell’s, and i can find DonutSnob at a few 3rd wave coffee spots, but once in awhile i do like a good mom n pop donut spot. Winchell’s is still my bona fide standby, but i was curious about their donuts at Colorado after seeing some of their posts on Instagram. just like DK’s in Santa Monica, Colorado has re-invented themselves and jumped on the social media bandwagon. everyone knows that UBE is the magic ingredient these days. anyhoo i dropped in one morning to check it out. i found a ton of choices, maybe too many. it can be overwhelming and you easily get starry-eyed, wanting everything. but i was good on this day and made myself choose only one thing. yes ONE!!! how in the world. don’t ask. but anyhoo… i was divided between a cake donut or a yeast donut. i have a soft side for both, especially the chocolate cake ones. but i love them all, regardless of white, brown, pink… so yep, there was the UBE section. there was a yeasted donut with ube cake crumble atop. there were also ube cake donuts, one with toasted coconut on top, another with crumbled cake on top as well… but i settled on the YEASTEDDONUTWITHUBECAKECRUMBLE. it was the best combination since it’s everything i wanted and was divided about. the donut itself was pretty moist, but a tad greasy. and i did enjoy the ube crumbs on top. it was a solid good donut. i would not say it was the best, nor would i crave this donut every once in awhile. but it’s good to know they’re around. tons to choose from here, be careful of going overboard! parking is in the small strip mall, which can get tight. service was ok, like wanting me in and out of there. «NEXT…» although there was no one else behind me. oh well, i guess it’s a reflex? fall in love with the Elmo and Cookie Monster donuts. will have to remember NOT to bring the booger in, unless i purposefully want to treat him! 3 stars for the donut(quality, flavor, freshness) +1 star for their diverse selection and creativity –1 star for hasty service

All I must say is yum! My second BFF brought me some lovely donuts from here. I told her the yum yum up the street closed and she said fear not because there’s this other better one just down Colorado Blvd. She wasn’t kidding. The one she recommended and I agreed was the best thus far was the blueberry donut. The ube wasn’t so great. The tiger tail was really really good as well. So there you have it. Trying to hit up more yummy donut spots.

This is a tiny place located in a strip mall on busy Colorado Blvd. There is nothing fancy here, but the service is friendly and efficient. They have a variety of donuts with a variety of flavors, interesting toppings, and even a few cronuts. The prices are as follows: 95 cents each for cake donuts, $ 1.00 for raised donuts, and $ 1.75 for specialty donuts. The donuts are soft and fresh, even in the evening hours. I still prefer Krispy Kreme, but these are pretty good. parking — free, small lot tip — check in with Unilocal to get 1 free regular donut with purchase

You can’t go wrong with the blueberry croissant donut. It’s like a blueberry strudel. The maple bacon is alright and so is the cinnamon sugar, but nowhere near as moist as the blueberry ones. – Les cronuts aux mûres/myrtilles sont excellents – les autres goûts sont bons, mais pas autant.
