A solid boba spot! I’ve only been to one other location, and that was years ago, so I won’t even try to compare. This is one of those places where you know what you’re gonna get, and you know it’s gonna be consistent every time. The menu is considerably small compared to a lot of other boba places, but you definitely get enough variety to choose from. I was craving something light and refreshing, so the barista recommended the grapefruit green tea with lychee jelly, and it was delicious! I wouldn’t go so far to say that it was up to par with what I’d get in, say, the 626 area, but it was pretty darn good. Parking can be a hassle around here, but if you’re in the LA Live area, this place is just a short walk over!

Stopped by randomly after leaving at halftime from a Lakers game. This is probably the most random Asian joint placement in the area. But surprisingly they make really good drinks! I got a green tea yogurt(they’re made with Yakult) with boba, 70% sugar and it was really refreshing. I like my drinks light so some might think it tastes watered down. The boba consistency was perfect: chewy and slightly sweet. My 男朋友 got a hot green milk tea with boba. The milk tea was a perfect temperature: warm and perfect for drinking through a straw. His boba was slightly on the softer side, but that is expected from a hot drink. Since I’m probably never going to go another Lakers game, there is minimal to no possibility for me to ever return to this CoCo. But if you’re in the area and craving some Asian tea/juice goodness then CoCo will not disappoint!

I love their teas, but their service is lacking. I’ve ordered twice for my co-workers and I from Postmates and they’ve gotten orders wrong TWICE. The sizes were wrong, the drinks were wrong. I don’t understand because the drinks on the receipt were correct but the drinks given weren’t? Maybe 2 out of the 6 drinks ordered were correct. It’s sad, because I like their taro milk tea, but do I want to risk playing Russian Roulette again to see if they do it right this time?

I rue the fact that I moved away from Elleven before this place opened. In the time that I lived in Elleven, I’ve craved milk tea numerous times and end up getting crappy milk tea near USC. This place would’ve satisfied many cravings while being convenient and good. I get the milk tea(sometimes with boba, sometimes with pudding, sometimes with both) at 70% sugar with no ice. I like the no judgment when asking for no ice. I want my money’s worth in milk tea! The milk tea(the only thing I’ve had here) is good. It’s never packed and the people working are nice.

I love the CoCo Fresh in Arcadia! I was super excited to see them offer delivery on Postmates near my work. What a let down! Not only was my order incorrect, my drink was super bland. I don’t expect super, strong green tea flavor. However, this was so mild, it tasted like watered down milk! Maybe if I received the correct order… which was Matcha Latte with Red Bean. it might have tasted better? Who knows. Won’t be ordering at this downtown LA location again! :(

Would have given 1 star for my green milk tea(aka jasmine milk tea) but service was great so here’s three. It would be nice to drink an actual jasmine milk tea and not something that tastes like milk and water.

I have yet to find another boba place that makes their milk tea like Coco’s. I’ve searched high and low, and still there’s no competition. Coco’s House Milk Tea is simply amazing. I like that there’s no weird after taste that other milk teas have. Just order a House Milk Tea — 50% sweet You won’t be sorry. I took a star away because sometimes my drinks are sweeter or not sweet enough depending on who makes it. Regardless, a little inconsistency doesn’t stop me from coming back.

Great!!! Love that you can adjust sweetness and ice :) every drink place is too sweet in my opinion and being able to control it is awesome. I recommend 50% or 30% sweetness for all drinks except the grapefruit– because it’s fresh 50% was kind of bitter. Leave it at 100% or maybe 70% sweetness :)

So happy CoCo has made its way to DTLA! This location is quite clean and rarely busy(no lines!). My go-to is the grapefruit tea, it’s super refreshing and not too sweet. Parking here is limited to street parking(typical DTLA stuff), but this location is within walking distance to the LA Convention Center, Staples Center, and LA Live.

Good place for boba; I actually never knew there was a CoCo in dtla… And when I went, seems like not many others know either. Regardless, the quality was just as good as the other CoCo I’ve been to. I like how their milk teas taste, I’m not sure how to word it, but it’s very sweet without being overpoweringly sweet?(I tend to get half sugar too) I was sad that they don’t have sago here though they said they were working on getting it. CoCo is one of the few places that offers sago as an add-on which is kinda like tiny tiny little boba but different texture and flavor. I honestly have no idea how to describe it. Overall, smooth experience, no one in line, drinks came out promptly, and a $ 5 minimum for credit card. Also, since it’s dtla, parking sucks. But CoCo is good!

We stopped by CoCo after attending the LA Auto Show because it was within walking distance of the Convention Center. I was looking for a thirst-quenching fresh fruit beverage like the grapefruit green tea or orange green tea, but it turned out neither option was available at the time. The cashier indicated that it would take the kitchen staff 20 minutes to prepare it, which sounded unusually long for an employee to use a machine to squeeze the fruits. I didn’t want to wait that long so I reluctantly went with my third choice, the Three Buddies. It was my first time ordering milk tea from CoCo. The barista filled the cup halfway with premixed milk tea and then topped it off with tea shaken with scoops of milk powder and sweetener. Coco didn’t use real milk for this drink, just like most of the cheap Taiwanese bubble tea vendors. Tastewise, the milk slightly overpowered the tea flavors. I have a feeling that it was overdone because the tea that Coco brews is a little more bold than other black teas and has a malty flavor that not everyone may like. The drink came with a sweetness level of 30% that was consistent with being«lightly sweetened», just right for me. The toppings included in my Three Buddies drink, red bean and egg pudding, turned out to be sweet though. Particularly, I didn’t think the red beans complemented the thin milk tea since they were a bit mushy and sweet. This Taiwanese boba shop didn’t carry grass jelly which I think would pair better with milk tea, and unfortunately, the shop was out of boba at the time we visited. No fresh fruit teas, no boba, no grass jelly. The cashier attempted to make up for the inconvenience by offering a coupon for the next visit, but it would take more than«50 cents off» to convince me to return.

I’ve heard about how CoCo is such a huge hit in Taiwan, so I expected some amazing boba from this place. While I wouldn’t consider my drink to be terrible, it wasn’t necessarily what I expected. I opted for the 2 ladies, which is just the regular boba milk tea with pudding and my friend got the 3 buddies which is the same thing with the addition of red bean. My friend regretted getting the red bean, saying that it didn’t fit well with boba and pudding. Personally, I think that the pudding boba milk tea here is uncomparable with Half & Half boba. Maybe I chose the wrong drink but the boba here seemed to similar in quality to Quickly’s boba(like $ 1 – 2 cheap boba places). Also to note, an odd thing about this place is that they have no napkins. When I asked, they pointed to a few towels(both the brown and white ones???) that you’d normally find in restrooms, and there were only 3 left… weird…

The Service: One staff is taking order at the register. One staff is preparing the drinks. One staff is at the back room. Service… SLOW! Definitely not efficient enough or any teamwork at all. The staff who is preparing the drinks is also taking phone orders? That is why all the orders back up because NOONE is fulfilling the orders. There were two customers in front of me. I guess they have been waiting for long time because the staff apologized for the long wait and gave them double stamps on their reward cards. After he took my order, I was watching the other staff(Asian man with glasses, I think he is the franchisee of the store) who is suppose to prepare the drink. He was so busy«cleaning» up the counter instead of checking new order. Yes, the store is definitely very clean; however, there is customer waiting for the drink? Fulfill the order for the customer first then he can do the clean up afterwards. It is an open counter so customer can see«everything». I saw my empty cup sitting on the counter… while he was washing some containers that he wasn’t going to use for my order? BTW, they charge fees for using the credit card or maybe they have minimum purchase? The Drinks: The price… ABSOLUTELYOVERPRICED for the quality of the drink. «Made fresh» that is their slogan, well… powder drinks. This store is originally from Taiwan. They are famous of their boba too. Well, can you imagine boba store without boba straws? I wanted to order my drink with boba but the staff told me, «sorry, we ran out of boba straw…» Really??? The Parking: Street metered parking

Stopped by here for a pick me up after taking a pilates class next door. I ordered a passion fruit tea with boba, 30% sugar while my friend ordered a house milk tea with puddling, regular sweetness. The passion fruit tea was a bit sweet even with lowered sugar(probably from the boba) but the drink was still refreshing after my workout. The consistency of the boba is ok. A bit too chewy and soft in my opinion. The house milk tea(one of their bestsellers) was a bit sweet for me but my friend thoroughly enjoyed it. It was her first time getting a drink here and she was happy with her pick. The pudding had good consistency and flavor and she said it was one of the better ones she has had. Yummy drink = happy friend! There are a few tables inside and outside for those of you who want hangout a bit longer and enjoy your drinks. This building is fairly new so there are a couple stores next door that are still vacant. There is street parking and lots nearby but if you can, find street parking because it’ll be cheaper. The garage next door charges a $ 10 flat fee on the weekends.

The boba is good! They have tons of different milk teas and flavors. I like the fact that you can control how much sugar they put inside. I don’t really like sweets so even 0% added sugar is enough for me. Make sure you bring cash because they have a card minimum!

From Arcadia to Westwood, Coco Fresh Tea and Juice has finally made its way around to DTLA. Coco’s milk tea boba($ 3.50) is a less expensive but just as high quality version of the Assam black milk tea from Ozero Little Tokyo($ 3.85 not including boba) or Boba 7’s $ 4+ JazzMilkTea. This place has weird names for their pudding + boba drinks(2 Ladies? I don’t get it). It is also one of the few places I know that have sago in its drinks. Ice lemon tea! Try this! It’s really good and taste just like the ones in Taiwan. Right now Coco has buy one get one free milk tea for its grand opening! I didn’t realize this before but Coco is international, mainly in East Asian countries llike Taiwan and South Korea to our neighbor Canada. Not sure about the parking situation since I took the metro blue/expo line here the last couple times I came here. It’s also conveniently next to La Live and Staple Center. Coco Fresh Tea and Juice is one of my favorites in SoCal. I’m so glad it’s closer than ever now. I’ll definitely be visiting this location regularly.

Good job on the boba! I bought 20 of the boba milk tea with the promo buy one get one free! I took them to our staff appreciation lunch and they were a hit!!! Coworkers asked where I got them and great reviews all around! They said milk tea was not too sweet and bobas were tasty!

Sorry for being harsh but it’s CoCo and I expected better! Today is soft opening and my co-worker and I visited right after lunch. We got the BOGO Bubble Tea flyer so that’s what we got! The tea was a-okay like any other joint(a little sweet) but the boba was not. It’s worse than Quickly! It was sticky and chewy and not done the right way. I think I have to let this place adjust itself for a while before going back. My co-worker insists we go again tomorrow but I doubt any change will happen over night. Why would I pay $ 4 for bad boba? SAD!

I am a sucker for a good deal. Why pay full price when you can get a discount or buy one get one? CoCo Fresh just opened and is offering a special buy one milk tea boba get one free. Although I haven’t had a milk tea boba in at least 10+ years(I prefer sour plum slushes or milk tea pudding), I took advantage of the special. All in all, it’s not bad! I’ll definitely be back. Even if I pay full price. The milk tea is not too sweet and the boba tasted just fine to me. CoCo Fresh is a welcome addition to DTLA South Park.

Who wants a Milk-stache Ride?! Although the milk teas are sub-par because they use powdered milk that is way too overpowering, their Cream Green Tea and Cream Black teas use real milk. Great balance of tea to milk ratio with what seems like a hint of salt. First boba and Taiwanese tea spot in the heart of LA. Can’t wait to get my milk tea fix just a couple minutes walk away.
