Just finished another amazing lunch here at Condesa after our workout across the street. Danielle was our server and she was amazing as always. They are very accommodating to our healthy food needs with all the substitution I require which usually most other places mess up. The manager Rami(he could have been the owner) stopped by our table to a make sure things were going well, which is always nice. See you soon Cocina Condesa.

This is a cute little Mexican restaurant I pass everyday for work so I finally checked it out last night. I wouldn’t say it is authentic but it isn’t bad, it’s just different which I liked! I really would go back for the environment though and the dessert I had! It was vanilla fried ice cream ball and brownie with some berries! I thought the whole combination was really good! The drinks were also good. Me and my friend went for HH(Monday-Friday 3 – 6:30) and they have some drinks and some food on there which were around $ 5 – 8. It is tapas style so everything is pretty small but you just get to try a lot of different things which is fun when your with friends and everyone wants to try different types of food. It is like an open restaurant so it’s prefect for those summer hot days and nights in the valley. I would recommend this place. The service was also really good. They came to check up and make sure everything was okay. It’s a very lively and cute spot! They did a good job with decorating the place as well!

First review ever because this needs to be said. It’s in my neighborhood. Only because the potential is endless. Great food. Delicious drinks. At 9pm on a Thursday the restaurant and bar are half full. The problem. The bar has spent the last half hour closing down the bar. Starting at 8:30. Putting away the salts, limes and the bar mats. Frankly I think one of the bartenders had a bad break up with a girlfriend and seemed like a sad puppy dog. One was on his phone most the time. People are ready to drink and have fun and the staff is actually making them and me feel like it’s time to go. I’m just sad because they have great food and potential for a great vibe. I’m pretty sure I saw the manager fist pumping the guy on his phone. While he was ignoring patrons. Please use my words to be better. I will be back. Maybe it was a bad night.

Great food and drinks! We went on a Sunday night and it was packed. They do take reservations when you call, but it has to be done 2 hours prior. They got a great selection of Mezcal and tequila. I was craving a spicy Mezcal drink, so my waitress recommended Condesa Margarita and they used Mezcal instead and add jalapeños to it to give it the kick I wanted. My wife got the Bronco which is similar to an Irish Mule except they add watermelon juice to it. I tried it out and it was really refreshing. With a Unilocal check in we also got a free shot of tequila, which was cool. For food, our waitress recommend sharing stuff, which looking at the menu seemed like a great idea. We knew this place would be good because the chips and salsa they serve in the beginning was really good. I ended up getting the Asada taco, Ceviche de Pescado, Ahi Tostaditos, and street corn. The Asada taco was really good, it comes with bacon which is an interesting twist to an Asada taco. The ahi Tostaditos was ok, nothing special, I think it’s the plate I’d probably leave out next time. The ceviche was really good, the seasonal fish used was mahi mahi and it was perfect. The street corn also was delicious. Our waitress Carlisle was super helpful and made sure we got the best stuff. I will definitely go back.

Excellent service! First time here. The food is great, although Americanized, is very delicious. Try the Guacamole Chingon, and roasted corn for starters. My main course was the chile relleño, OMG, Manchego cheese? Yes please. Perfectly paired with a Bloody Maria for brunch. Our server Carlisle I think was her name) was outstanding even despite how busy she was. Will be back!

It should not take almost 90 minutes to get two dishes out on a Monday night when your restaurant is 65% empty. It most certainly shouldn’t take your server just as long to realize we were missing our food too. That is unsatisfactory to say the least. The part that kills me, though, is that the food wasn’t really worth the wait. Our order was nothing crazy: street corn, pollo DF, chocolate mole enchiladas. The street corn had waaay too much mayo and that’s all we could taste, the pollo was really chewy and couldn’t be cut with a fork(it was overcooked), and the chocolate mole sauce did not have a hint of chocolate taste. Our drinks were eh. The Bronco was ok, but the spicy mango margarita wasn’t even spicy! If I ever come here again(highly doubtful), I’ll stick to ordering drinks or dessert since that’s about all they can get out promptly. Really would’ve liked to have left our server a decent tip, but you win as a family and you lose as a family. Tonight, unfortunately, you lost.

Cocina Condesa is the top of Taco Tuesday restaurants. My friends and I make it a point to go there a few times a month. They have the best Tacos(I favor the Asada) and on Tuesdays you get 2 for 5 dollars. I have also loved the Carnitas taco, the different veggie tacos and the Al Pastor. These tacos are juicy, great meat choices and not your run of the mill tacos. They each have unique and different tacos, great creativity and flavors from the kitchen. I have never had one that wasn’t great. The Paloma drink is our Taco Tuesday drink and it is light, refreshing with great amounts of Alcohol and the perfect summer drink. and TEQUILA shots just for showing up and checking in. Where do you get that? Finally if you want a TODIEFOR Dessert there are two phenomenal choices(There are more but these two are the ones we can’t decide between). Their small churros come with fruit and a bowl of this caramel sauce that is heavenly. Usually by the time the dessert comes I am so full, but its so worth it. Just dig a spoon into the Caramel sauce and you will just melt. The other Delicious dessert is the cayenne brownie with the fried ice cream. I am so happy this place is around and it is our go to spot.

Bad service, mediocre food. 10 mins after we sat down we had to find our own menus. A waiter finally came to our table and announced that we weren’t his table but he’d be charitable and take our order anyway. Then they gave my daughter a glass of water in a plastic to go bowl – bowl, not a cup. And unless you like leather, don’t order the butternut squash and shiitake tacos. Seriously, I could not bite through the mushroom. Other dishes weren’t so bad. I wouldn’t have minded the $ 7(not including tip) valet charge if the food and service were better but after that experience, that was salt in the wounds.

While waiting for my car at the studio city car wash I stopped in for a quick bite. I didn’t really get to experience the place at night with friends. I just casually ate at the bar alone. The bartender was so nice. She had a few conversations with me, and helped me with some recommendations. Right when you get seated you are given really delicious complimentary chips and salsa. It came pretty quick. The bartender then recommended the chocolate mole chicken enchiladas. It also came with a full side of rice and beans. Super filling. It dosen’t actually taste like chocolate lol. Even though I came alone I felt very welcomed. It made me want to come back with some friends to try their variety of drinks. Thanks for the good customer service and food! Can’t wait to unlock that free shot of tequila on Unilocal!!!

Tequila anyone? You get a free tequila shot if you check in and it’s REALLY good! I was shocked. Thank you, Rodrigo! The chips and salsa were so tasty! Very fresh. I had the carnitas tacos, and they were good for $ 8. Service was excellent. Food came out fast. I wish they had parking… But… Par for the course. I’d definitely recommend the place for lunch or happy hour. :)

I love this place! I always meant to come when I lived in The Valley but never got around to it. My roommates and I wanted a margarita and decided to come here and see how theirs were. Two of us had been here before and noted that happy hour was only during the week, but to our surprise it was going on when we arrived at 5:30pm(It goes until 6:30pm). Yes! So we ordered 2 Condesa Margaritas, 1 Bronco, 1 Paloma, 1 order of guacamole, 2 orders of the cheese enchilada, and 1 molleta. ALL of these items were $ 6 on the happy hour menu! The food was really good as were the drinks! Such a refreshing margarita, and I’m picky about margaritas. Our service was really good as well. Very fast and he checked in right before happy hour was over. They’re prices on the regular menu are a little high. $ 12 for a drink, which is double the happy hour price. So I think I’ll stick to coming here between 3 – 6:30pm!

The carne asada tacos were filled with steak that’s on par with any five star restaurant I’ve ever been to. I stopin for a quick bit while try to waste time in the valley and Cocina Condesa was far from a waste of time. Everything was great from the chips to the tacos to the service. Special shout out Rodrigo, who was very attentive and very cute ^_^

We had a super rockin experience here tonight. It was my first time venturing to Cocina Condesa and I am very impressed! I have to start with our waiter, Adam. I can’t say enough about how great his service was, his recommendations for both drinks and food for me were spot on, and his overall attitude was just so great. He was so nice and attentive, even on a very busy night. Best waiter in the valley?! I think so! Now on to the drinks and food– I give an A to my drink the Suavecito. It is basically like an alcoholic cucumber spa water and it is refreshing and delicious! The Bronco was equally delicious. We got the ceviche and this was fresh and limey just how I like it. Lastly our entrée was the Carne Asada plate. I really liked the flavor of the steak, it was cooked just right and was served with small bowls of rice and beans and potatoes. A good amount of food. I tasted the corn too, I would get this again for sure. We also had the brownie and flan for dessert. Both equally delish! Shout out to the manager who gave us a free dessert! Your super service is beyond Sir and I thank you for that. The décor is cool, rustic with cool pics on the walls. It is loud in there but it just makes for a fun atmosphere. Tips: check in and get a tequila shot! Valet is $ 6.50. I can’t wait to come back for Happy Hour!

I had lunch here recently and was pleasantly surprised. I love when that happens! First: our server, Rodrigo was the best — funny, friendly and of course, an aspiring actor! He improved our experience immensely! Second: the atmosphere was conducive to relaxing outdoors and taking your time, enjoying the sunshine, margaritas and wonderful food The Food: chips and guac: yummy versions of both, homemade and fresh, beautiful in presentation as were all of the dishes ceviche de pescado: served with fried plantain chips on a beautiful wooden board, the acid was perfect — only thing we didn’t care for was the texture of the fish which was a little mushy ahí tuna tostaditos: ahí, mango and cucumbers served on jicama slices pollo ranchero salad: beautiful fresh salad, enough for 2 meals dessert: tres leeches cake — almost too pretty to eat! An overall great experience and exactly what we were hoping for. We will definitely try CC again. If you go, ask for Rodrigo!

Went here for a friend’s bday and were mostly in the smaller room next door. I only tried the Chorizo desert they had which was amazing. Drinks are good too, but mostly focused on tequila. If you’re not big on tequila options are a bit limited.

Delicious Mexican food with great atmosphere but not so great service. Everything we ordered came out wrong although the manager was quick to fix it and took responsibility for his waiter that didn’t seem to get anything right. Cauliflower tacos were delicious and had great crunch. Street corn with chili lime seasoning was the highlight and their house salsa that hits the table when you sit down was better than any of their salsa trios that are available on the menu. Bloody mary was spicy and had a great kick to it and was enjoyable. Vegans and gluten free people — this place is very friendly with accommodating those needs but beware because we had two people at the table allergic to avocados and mentioned to our server numerous times and he still put avocados on everything but manager was kind enough to rectify the situation and made sure we were happy.

We came here during happy hour to see what they had to offer. Have to say, their HH menu wasn’t that bad at all. Happy Hour is from 3 – 630 daily. PARKING: They offer valet or street parking which can be a pain to find. SERVICE: Can need a little work. Our waitress was disappear time to time. We had to look her or flag her down many times.(Note) The restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. FOOD: The food in the other hand were good. Their HH dishes were big enough to share, and some of the dish came with rice and beans as a filler. Here were the dish we ordered. Sopes Mollete Cheese Enchilada(came with rice and beans) Carnitas Tacos(came with rice and beans) Street Corn(off the HH menu at $ 7 for a small head of corn) It was good, but definitely better of getting another drink of the HH menu. The best part of the meal was their HH drinks. They were all fantastic. Overall I would love to give them more stars, but the service was just not great at all.
