When I checked this place out, it had 4.5 stars. I hope it gets corrected because Unilocal’s ratings are worthless in this case. I drove across town to check this place out and what a waste of money and effort. * The Jja Jang was mediocre at best giving adage to the expression, «you get what you pay for». * Spicy Beef was riddled with red peppers yet was neither hot nor tasty, beef having been layered so thick with flower that it was like eating jelly covered beef jerky…“edible” is not a compliment and that is all I can say. * The fried dumplings? It is hard to screw this up I think… and they did. The meat inside is actually just a big gamy as if from newly rancid beef, not rotten but definitely unpleasant. * Fried rice is tasteless, the shrimps crumble as if made of powder. As for the positive reviews, I can’t speak to service or anything but what I ordered but either people have no taste or these are relatives and friends of the owner. There are so many decent Chinese restaurants in LA, and several good«Korean» Chinese styled ones, this one is just not worth a drive or money.

Meh. The Jja jang was a little watery and the sauce didn’t quite have the texture I was looking for. The other reviews were from a year ago, so I thought maybe they would have raised the price by now, but no, it’s still 2.99. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. I think this place is still better than the jja jang at the Galleria. The search for the best Jja jang continues…

I’m convinced that the«sales» are the regular price. You can’t beat $ 2.99 Jajangmyun. I am somewhat tempted to try something else, but I’m not sure if I can mess with a sure thing. Parking can be a bitch, but what else is new in Koreatown. There is no valet that I know of.

$ 2.99 jja jang myun sale. right now they’re having a sale! located inside Oxford Plaza. the jja jang myun(aka korean chinese noodles in black sauce) is $ 2.99 a bowl. not a mini bowl. a regular sized one. the noodles were mushier than id like. but for $ 2.99 its pretty good. they also have various other«sales» also. may not be for the squeamish, for the restaurant has a C grade. but i dont care. so there.
