Been getting my haircut here for pretty much all my life. Never disappointed! Now I dye my hair here and get touch ups every 3 months. I went from black hair to straight up blonde and my hair is not dead yet! Definitely recommend and prices are GREAT here. Especially for his professional skills.

I absolutely love this place! I have never had a bad hair cut here. You can just tell they know what they’re doing by the techniques they use while cutting your hair. The stylists are friendly and will make sure you look your best. They also do a great job plucking eyebrows and adding color if that’s your thing, all for a reasonable price. When I’m in LA, I make it a point to stop here for my haircuts. I’ll even hold off on getting haircuts until my trip.

In my book, few hairdressers make the cut in L.A. I’ve had my share of hairdressers who insist on cutting my hair THEIR way, or the prima donna ‘stylists’ who charge a fortune for the privilege of having your hair touched by them. That’s why I like going to Chula Salon on Hollywood Blvd. in Thai Town and getting my hair cut by Viroj, or Oo(rhymes with you). Oo intuitively knows how to cut and style hair for your best look. A master cutter from Thailand who shares the salon with two others, he’s happy to engage you in conversation or quietly style your hair if you’re not up to small talk. No fuss, no drama, no attitude. I’ve gone to other salons for convenience, but have always gone back to Oo for his consistently excellent cuts. If you want a high-quality hairdresser who’s reasonably priced, go see Oo. Parking is a bear, though, so you might just enjoy an authentic Thai meal at the popular Sanamluang across the street first, then leave your car at the restaurant lot while you get your hair done.

I’ve been coming here since I was 6! The main hair stylist is Pa’Piak(which is like her name and the equivalent of aunt or something in Thai). She, well she is a he but that’s why she is awesome at cutting her. I honestly don’t know whether to call him a by a woman reference or a man but ANYWAYS. She is really good for Asian style haircuts, dying hair, trims, you name it. She does hair and make up also but just tell her in advance ! There are other stylists like this younger man and this older woman. DONOT go to the older woman, she does not cut hair good but the younger guy is pretty good, as good as pa piak. If you’re looking for a good deal and friendly service then this is the place ! Just make sure to call before going to check if there’s a line because the wait is pretty long sometimes.

I’ve been coming here for many years. I always get my hair cut with P’Piak. He does a great job! He’s also really good with hair dyes. If you want to do walk-ins, it helps to come early. Otherwise it’s best to make an appointment. All the other salonists here are friendly as well. The salon is clean and there’s no perm smell, thank goodness.
