So went on a Sunday, an exceptionally hot day so we were itch’n for some ice cold naeng myun. We had the worse service ever. We waited 25 minutes for a table, which we expected. However when we got seated, it took another 15 minutes to even wave down a server. We finally ordered our naeng myun and asked for a side of Wang mandoo. She told us that the kitchen were not serving it, because they were too busy. What’s up with that. So we said anything else? They finally bring some mung bean pancake which seemed to be nuked. It took another 25 minutes for our naengmyun to arrive. Regretted that we didn’t go to Yu Chun. Geez.

Promptly seated and given a nice steaming cup of yooksu, a beef broth that tastes peppery and rich. Bf ordered the galbitang and I got the nengmyun combo. Both really good. Nengmyun was actually pretty good but as I’m writing this review a couple weeks later it must have not been so memorable since I can’t recall just how good it was. But I LOVEEE the dipping sauce that came with the galbitang. Galbitang itself was good but it’s not AMAZING that you need to commit yourself to this place. Basically if you’re in the area and don’t know where to eat, it’s not a bad place to stop by to eat. tldr; good food, good experience but not somewhere you’d be craving to eat at

Zion market food court upstairs! I love their Mook Sa Bal= Acorn jello in the cold noodle broth. Its like cold noodles/NengMyun but with Acorn jello instead of the noodles(healthier for you!) They put cucumber slices and radish with sauce and its delicious! A must try dish from there. They have lots of combo dishes to choose from. On a hot summer days, I crave this dish.

Spicy galbi jjim was just ok. Lots of food for $ 30 however it’s quite evident that the quality of the meat is below par. Having a mother who cooked this dish for me hundreds of times fresh, I can tell the difference.

Came here on a Sunday night and it was not busy. There are some meter parking along the street, but if you’re lazy to walk, valet parking is $ 1 and $ 2 on weekends and nights I believe. We decided to order a Large Galbi Jjeem and One Neng Myun. The waitresses will bring you complimentary broth called Yooksoo which you drink. Sounds weird, but it is really good. The Galbi Jjeem came out in a huge stone bowl and had onions, pineapples, rice cakes, and carrots. It was delicious! The meat would melt in my mouth. The Neng Myun was pretty good and on point. Refreshing! My only negative remark here is that you have to ask for water. I understand Yooksoo is a good alternative, but having some ice water would be nice. The service here was really good and the waitresses were tentative. I would definitely come back to try other dishes!

The food here is a hit or miss. My friend and I ordered the cold nengmyun combo with meat(I ordered the one with bulgogi, friend ordered the pork). The cold nengmyun was spot on. My meat had way too much fat on it. It also lacked marination and the onions were undercooked. The waitress staff is pretty horrible — service is really bad. I would recommend trying cho sun galbi’s cold nengmyun. Their broth is cleaner and definitely more tasty with attentive staff.

Nengmyun is ok. Service is whatevers. Their mandoo is good. I only come here when I crave their mandoo. Not a fan of much else on their menu.

We had the Mool-Naeng-Myeon & Hwae Naeng-Myeon and they were okay but wasn’t that great. The $ 14 combo menu says Naeng-myeon and 4 pieces of the dumplings but they only served 3 pieces. When quizzed the waitress as to why only 3 pieces, their response was that it’s because the customers always don’t end up finishing them so they just serve three… then why don’t you change the menu description?! I think they can do better. The noodles were a little too on the sweet side — a pitfall which many Korean restaurants cannot avoid. I have not tried their galbi-tang but that’s supposedly pretty good, so maybe next time. maybe.

My Mom and I came here to eat a few nights again. Upon approaching the place, theres a $ 2 valet conveniently located right next to the restaurant so we parked there. We were sat down immediately. Everyone speaks mainly Korean and I’m not Korean so expect that if you go and are not Korean. I asked about the naengmyun galbi combo to see if it was enough for two people and the waiter said it wasn’t so I ordered that and bibimbap for us. The naengmyun was good and flavorful but the galbi was really bland and chewy and not good at all. However, the combo itself was definitely enough for my Mom and me. The bibimbap was served on a salad with rice on the side which surprised me but we barely got to it because we were already that full. It didn’t look like anything special though. The check ended up being more than I would have liked and overall, this place was just okay.

Wow, this place is not good at all. I ordered the bibim naengmyun + jumulleok(seasoned beef sirloin) and both dishes were just bad. The noodles had absolutely no flavor at all. Spicy level = 0, tasty level = 0. I honestly didn’t think anyone could mess up such a simple dish so badly. The beef sirloin also had no flavor and on top of that, it was incredibly dry and chewy. Not coming back, ever.

For over a decade my family always chose the family run Ham Hung restaurant for naengmyun, but once they moved and changed everything about the name… we searched many restaurants to find the same flavor. I think we finally found the perfect replacement! The bibim naengmyun is really delicious and filling. Perfect for a hot LA day. The banchan is limited but I enjoyed the potato salad they had. The broth was phenomenal! So rich and a perfect complement to the cold spicy noodles. Service was good but they definitely need to be attentive especially when we were only one of four active tables. Took ten minutes to get their attention for the check, another five to get the check, and another ten for them to come get the check. Until we gave up and just went directly to the cash register.

Unilocal needs to give a choice to users to give NOSTARS cause that’s EXACTLY what I would give this restaurant. 1st time there: went for lunch with co workers then all of a sudden one of my female coworkers scream so I look on the table to see a cockroach zig zagging all over the table and food… so being the real man I am, I jump out of my seat too as I Unilocal under my breath. ;) as others stare from other tables, the waitress comes over with a napkin kills it and removes my coworkers dish, apologizes and goes on with her day(wtf???) no service, doesn’t replace our side dishes, doesn’t reduce our bill… NOTHING. Obviously we all lose our appetite and go back to the office. 2nd time there: a day after golf, me, my friend, and gf go to eat lunch. We order nengmyun, marinated galbi and non marinated galbi. The galbi comes and me and my boy both taste the galbi and look at each other and we realize something just doesn’t taste right. I’m not a meat professional but I have had enough meat and korean bbq to know when meat tastes funny. So we call over the waitress and tell her that something is not right and the meat tastes«old»…she tells us to wait. Then she comes back with the owner as we proceed to tell her the situation. She then grabs some chopsticks and starts tasting the galbi, look’s at us with an annoyed face and says in Korean…“tastes fine to me” and goes back to to her day. Sigh… She doesn’t give us a new dish and we pay full price for basically eating NOTHING. For those thinking of going, I will keep this simple… DON’T GO!!!

Cold noodles in yummy sauce. Yes it’s the neng myun that drives me here! And it’s not a super close drive either but it’s worth it. For the price of $ 8 – 11, you can get your very own delish bowl of cold buckwheat noodles with a free bowl of extra noodles() !! Sides here are pretty good and the portions are decent. I’ve also had the soon tofu here and it’s not as salty as bcd or Beverly, so it’s good too! Come check this place out. The owner is really friendly too and will hook you up with a free cup of coffee on the way out from a trusty self-serve machine. Random but good.

Living in Los Angeles has changed me in many ways, one of them changing me into a Kbarb fan. I go to USC and before that, I had visited LA many times but I stayed stuck on the Westside, near Santa Monica(which is still my favorite part of LA,) and Century City. Being a USC student without a car though means I can only take short trips or go wherever the metro takes me which includes Koreatown. I am sure glad the metro goes here though(even though I actually got here through a car.) We were originally going to a Kbarb place down the street near 6th and Western but the line was way too long so we drove along until we found this place. I walked in and noticed how quiet it was, not one of those noisy Kbarb places where everyone is loud and Kpop is blaring(which does not bother me too much because I actually like Kpop but not when I’m trying to have a quiet dinner.) For dinner, I had the beef straight from the barbecue. The sides included potatoes which were good, kim chee which was extremely good and the octopus(yes, I tried a little octopus, even though I did not know what it was until my friend told me,) but I actually liked it. The tea at the beginning I really liked too. Overall, this was a nice Kbarb place with only one drawback: the prices were a little steep but that’s probably what happens when the place has a nicer ambiance and is less crowded. Still, I liked the food and I am glad I chose to spend my birthday evening eating here.

Supposively they’re known for their galbi tang; however I wasn’t very impressed. The meat was not tender and falling off the bone as it’s supposed to. We cut off the meat with a scissors and it was just so chewy and non-tender :(Disappointed. What DID look great and something worth ordering was the bibimbap and the naemyoung cold noodles. If I ever need to come here again, I’ll order those! I did really appreciate the cleanliness of the restaurant. It looked brand new and ultra modern. Also, the valet parking is super convenient and not busy at all. Always a plus point for easy parking.

I don’t know when I’m going to learn my lesson. Korean cold noodles are so hard to get right and I always order it hoping it would be good. It had been a very long day of moving and my family and I were tired. We wanted some quick eats and cold noodles sounded very good on a hot day. We ordered cold noodles, spicy cold noodles and Galbi Tang(beef short rib stew). The side dishes were average but I found most of them to be on the sweeter side. And then we got our noodles and soup. Oh god I shouldn’t have ordered those noodles. It was outrageously sweet. I mean I couldn’t enjoy my meal at all because those noodles were so sweet. I tried my mom’s beef short rib stew to see if it was any better and oh my god. They were sweet again. I then tried my brother’s spicy noodles and they were sweet. I don’t understand how everything in this restaurant could be sweet. My family and I barely got through half our meal and we left the rest on the table. It was just inedible. There won’t be a next time for me because even though this restaurant was really clean and beautiful to look at, their food was inedible. 1⁄5

You just have to try Golf galbi tang and Nok du bin dek dduk. The perfect combo to die for.
