Chambers Shine Parlor & Shoe Repair & Dying

First off the prices are sky high. In fact they are the highest I’ve ever seen at any shine parlor. The shine was average at best. $ 15.00 to shine motorcycle riding boots you gotta be kidding me.

The first time I went to Chambers I asked them to stretch shoes for me. They came back not stretched.
The next time I decided to give them a second chance. I went back to them because I had a pair of shoes that needed surgery. They were wearing from the inside in the back, they needed a heel wrap, and heel and toe taps. He said they’d do a piece of leather in the back of the shoe, they’d do a heel wrap, and the heel and toe taps… that they’d be ready on Wednesday. I informed him that I had to work through the week and that Saturday would be fine.
Well, when I picked them up I noticed that the heel looked the same as when I took them in with the exception of a new piece on the bottom. I guess I should’ve been more specific when I said «heel wrapped» that I actually wanted the heel wrapped!
I may go back to them for a touch up on shoes, but never will they put anything in a pair of shoes for me.
Oh, and I almost forgot. They left the newspaper in the toes I guess when they were putting the toe taps on. I found it when I got home and went to try them on and couldn’t put my foot inside.
