I saw a taping of Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday and ended up getting in an altercation with security when they wouldn’t let me use the bathroom. What a nice 180 it was when I came to the Late Late Show with James Corden and was greeted with smiles and good attitudes from all the CBS security and employees. I was joking with the staff on the way in and they were joking right back. The show was fun, and nobody tried to block me from using the bathroom upon exiting the show. What a concept!

Not a bad place to see a show — and there is a plethora of shows that tape here. Parking is really not easy — try going behind Fairfax towards LaCienega into the residential neighborhoods but READ the signs regarding permit parking. It’s a bit of a challenge. Security is generally ok but sometimes they get super strict — one show I went to see no one was allowed to take in paper or writing utensils. What? Who doesn’t have a little notebook or a few pens in their bag? But still not a bad place to work or see a show — and if you’re interested in watching Bill Maher or Let’s Make a Deal, you can sometimes get tickets just by showing up at the gates where ticket-holders line up.

Came here for the season finale of Dancing with the Stars. We arrived around 4PM, the line was pretty line. After check-in & going through security, we were seated by 5:30PM. The show started at 6PM, it was live taping so it went by SUPER quick. I have to say, the staff at DWTS were super sweet & helpful, once you’re inside the studio they pretty much let you dance on dance floor & walk around. There’s a DJ playing jams. The show ended around 8PM, since this was the season finale they were quick in letting everyone out. Here are some of my recommendations if you’re planning on attending a taping… Eat before arriving & bring a water bottle. You will be waiting & standing for at least an hour. Bathrooms are available. They have a snack cart that passes by while you wait outside but you MUST bring CASH. Ladies, make sure you wear comfy yet fashionable shoes. That walk from the parking lot to the studio is not that close, plus you’ll be standing A LOT. Parking is located at the Grove’s parking structure and you walk over to the studio(about a 5 – 10 minute walk) Definitely a memorable experience. xo Naomi

My adventure in life is better because of thus day. American Ifol was the full experience. JLo, Harry, Keith, and the other guy. Ok ok Tysn was there too. Just a heads up you spend a lot of time waiting and are reminded how young you are not. Basically if you are a teen you will have the most amazing time. After several hours in the hot sun and various attempts for CBS to sell you $ 5 bottles of water we entered the elusive cold air cooled studio. The stage was amazing and the seating was great, although it was temporary. We got in as seat fillers(yes LA is full of youth and hotness, I guess I’m falling short in this area). Unfortunately about 20 minutes into the taping our seat holders showed up. Who shows up 20 minutes late for a live taping! We were moved to the upper balcony. The view from here was spectacular! The show was amazing and the talent was awesome. My only complaint is being moved so far up when we were there so early. Maybe next time I can figure out how to score the VIP tickets

If you are planning a trip down to the Price Is Right here is a few heads up. The ticket voucher say to be there by 8:30 but be there by 7:30 or stay home. We one time got there at 8:00 and told they already were full and had to go home!!! Plan a whole day! Yes ALL day. The processing of 300 people of paperwork, pictures and interviews takes up to two to three hours before you go into the studio. But before going into the studio you can buy lunch from the CBS café vendors who actually sell a pretty decent lunch menu. Pizza, hamburger, quesadilla and an assortment of snacks and drinks but FYI drinks are $ 4 that’s pretty steep. The pizza, burgers and quesadilla are $ 10 – 12 and come with chips. At the point of waiting right before going in the studio and where you get fed, you have to check your cell phones. Once in this area you can eat and wait for another 1 – 2 hours and then into the studio for seating. The seating is not row by row it is staged. You go in and you are seated in all different areas. This is because they place the contestants where they want them. Once everyone is seated George Gray comes out gives a little run down on how we need to stay seated when he’s announcing the«Come on down» so the camera can find them. Drew Carey is very engaging during the commercial breaks by talking to the audience and joking around. Probably we are in the studio 1 ½ hours. All in all it is about a 8 hour stint from getting in line to leaving the studio. So come on down!!!

I had to mark off a «bucket list» destination. Sad enough, The Price is Right was one of them. Even though the time frame absorbed up most of the day, the CBS Studio did a fine job of getting us in the studio in a safe and timely manor. Inside the studio was clean and comfortable. I am very happy that I went and had this memorable experience.

I was super-excited that the parking for CBS in the structure at The Grove was very inexpensive, it averaged about $ 2 an hour.

We were here with our group of 26 people to get on the Price is Right! They film twice a day 3 – 4 times a week, so they’ve got their process down! It is a bit of wait(4 – 5 hours) to register, take photos, interview and file in for the shooting — I mean, they are trying to herd 300+ people through this process so no wonder it takes awhile. They do serve lunch(average $ 10): burgers, pizza, drinks, snacks, etc. But once you get in, the studio is as colorful and lively as you see on TV! Drew Carey rocks and the film crew is so fun and make the process go quickly! We had such a BLAST! The Grove is right next door in easy walking distance so you can park and eat before/after as you like.
