Love, love, love the empanadas! Also the carne asada meat is great. When I was in line for the meat, I saw a package of seasoned chicken legs for a low price, so I bought them too and they were delicious. The produce is weak. Small selection and usually looks old. Staff is mostly Spanish speaking but helpful.

Many different types of yerba mate as well as authentic Argentinean treats! I went to get some alfajores for my Argentine boyfriend, and I was so pleased to see that they had both Havanas and Cachafaz. They also had many other candies and several brands of dulce de leche. I did not try any of the food in the café, but regarding the grocery selection, they had a great selection. I definitely felt like I’d stepped into a grocery in Buenos Aires.

Really nice market, good prices, good produce, and the food was good. I got a sandwich with chorizo and a green sauce not sure what it was but the sandwich was great.

I’ve been eating Catalina’s food for years, and I have never been disappointed. The empanadas are some of the best I’ve ever had, and the pastries are to die for. This is a small, family owned market that takes pride the the quality of their food, and the way they treat their customers. This site truly is a diamond in the rough, but maybe now, with its new makeover, it will attract new people to come and experience the wonderful things they have inside. Bravo!

Have you seen the Re-model? I was totally taken back when I came in to buy my favorite empanadas the other day. What a nice change for the neighborhood and the store itself. I can’t believe how wide open the place looks. The desserts counter is beautifully done. The dessert counter has to be 20 feet long and the assortment Is so much better than I imagined. My absolute faves are the crème brûlée and flan. And how cute are the girls behind the counters? Happy to see the business is still family run. Anyhow Catalinas is still true to its argentine roots and still my favorite place to go for my chimichurri and empanada fix. Nice job!

I strolled into this market not knowing what to expect. I just saw a market in my neighborhood that I have never seen or been to, so I went in. I was immediately approached by one of the owners Fillipe from Argentina. He was so nice. Informed me that this business has been around for 46 years in his family and he is the current owner. He told me his wife was in the kitchen if I needed anything. Such a kind guy. I walked over to the bakery and café section of the market and was pleasantly surprised. They have tons of sandwiches, pizzas and empanadas. Yum. I had a Cuban which was so yummy. I have a tendency to take things out of sandwiches but today i wanted it as is. Capture all the flavor they intended and man was it good. The pickle, the mustard the nice soft & warm bread was delish! I tried a baked beef empanada which was really good but they gave me a fried ham and cheese one which was better, I imagine it’s cause it was fried! I decided to contain myself when it came to the baked goods but I spy pecan pie and an Oreo something that I’m sure I would love. Can’t wait to come back here. Plus their fruits and veggies are way cheaper than regular stores. So lucky to have discovered Catalina Market!

I told a friend that I was dying for some good empanadas and they recommended I go to Catalina’s. I was not disappointed. The chorizo empanadas are my favorite, followed closely by the ham and cheese. I also tried their pulled pork and Mmmmm, so good! My husband and I also went to the meat section and purchased a couple of filet mignons… I don’t know if it was the meat or following Felipe’s orders on how to cook them, but they came out delicious and oh so tender. Catalina’s market is my new favorite store!

One of the best markets out there. This family owned market has what you need from their great empanadas, fresh produce, great meats, and pizza freshly made to order. Catalina’s Market is where you want to be when you go grocery shopping.

Excellent little market with a great variety of international products. And the hot deli they have inside the market is amazing! From the delicious empanadas and Migas to the roasted pork and cilantro lime rice! Mmmm, good! Prices are very good for the quality you get…

I come here at least once a week for lunch. Best Milanese sandwiches EVER!!! I buy 2 each time I go so I have one for the next day as well. Great staff and even better food. I love this place. Be sure and try their new pizza too. It’s quite yummy considering this place isn’t an Italian joint:)

This place definitely isn’t what it used to be. Sure, it’s remodeled and everything is new but that’s about it. The quality of the food and customer service have all gone downhill. My family have been customers of Catalinas for 45 years but that will be no more. I purchased a deli meat that when I got home discovered it was old and expired. I called and spoke to Felipe on the phone and he neither apologized or offered an exchange. Apparently customer satisfaction is not a priority and customer service lessons need to be learned. The empanadas they are so famous for are not the same either as a previous reviewer stated. If you purchase something from the deli department proceed with caution and check expiration dates!!!

Small market with interesting Peruvian, Guatemalan & Argentinean finds. I’d like to start off with stating that they sell old deli and would advise against buying anything sold by the pound. Was attempting to buy mortadella and the lady was kind enough to open a brand new slab of deli although she did try selling some beforehand which had lost all its color and was completely grey! :-/They also sell stale pastry I had to chuck in the bin since it was chalky and inedible. Happened to buy Anise tea since I’m a fan of the licorice flavor and enjoyed the drink though a few minutes after consumption my mother pointed out both of our faces had started turning red from consuming the tea. We broke out in hives. Not the stores fault but we basically bought a product which we had a strange reaction to. Yet another item we had to throw out as well… They do however fry empanadas fresh to order which was a nice touch, they sell cheap marinated meats although I’d be concerned with the freshness of it. Would mainly recommend the empanadas and fresh produce only.

Big, clean, nice modern market with a bakery, deli, and really nice service counter. The manager walked me around the aisles trying to find exactly what I wanted. Whole sections for Spain, Brazil, Peru, and Colombia. Fresh empanadas and roasted chickens.

Recently moved into the neighborhood and was looking for a go to market for Latin groceries. I saw Catalina’s grand opening sign, so my BF and I strolled in on a Sunday. I was happy to see that they have a huge selection of Peruvian products, both frozen and dry goods. Of course, their Argentine products were extensive too. As we were shopping, the owner, Felipe starting chatting us up. We told him it was our first time in and he was so friendly. Told us about the history of the market and how they just had a grand re-opening. He told us that we had to try their chorizos, then gave us two rolls, told us to grill it up, lightly toast up the rolls and eat it with chimichurri. We did exactly as instructed. Twas so good. I’m definitely coming back for more and probably some empanadas also. If that wasn’t enough, he went over to the bakery, gave us two tarts and left it at the cashier for us. All gratis! I didn’t know the old market, but the new one is fantastic. All the workers were very nice, knowledgeable, and courteous. The place is super clean and there wasn’t really anything lacking.

So glad Catalina’s Market is open again. It was so nice to see Michelle and Candace. I love the new bakery and deli counter.
