Calypso Home St. Barth

I really do enjoy the distinctive casual chic feel of Calypso. The clothes are always so beautifully constructed with the summery, beachy flair!
They also carry many selections in AG jeans and AG denim here. It’s pricey, so be prepared to spend. Many tunics range from $ 225 — $ 395.
I always find lovely and simply pretty pieces here. Awesome service always. Just got my first leather jacket piece at their Country Mart location today, as I didn’t see any leather jackets at Calypso from the past 6 years of shopping in their boutiques. They have a wonderful Sunset Plaza (in WeHo) & South Coast Plaza (in OC) location too.
Like the expansive home section too!

If you receive a gift from this place, definitely request gift receipt, which seems very uncouth but it’s for the best, otherwise, you may not be able to exchange the item at all. Also, you better have a lot of time on your hands and be patient with the staff when you wander in since they often act like they are too busy to help. Lastly, it’s a big «to do» if you try to exchange something from the clothing side for an item from the home design side. Not at all a fan of this store.

I didn’t find anything here that interesting. I guess I had lofty expectations after being attracted to this store from the outside looking in. If this suits your style then good for you, but the items were a bit off the wall for me and prices were high.
Stopped by here after breakfast at City Bakery because it looked very interesting from the outside and I thought I could get some design ideas for the home. It’s a huge store and has lots of things to peruse through. Things like shaggy soft rugs and pillows were cool, but I usually don’t spend more then $ 50 on a decorative pillow.
I’m not too advanced in the way of taste, so i don’t know what kind of style this falls into. The driftwood pieces were kind of meh. I saw some seashell themed stuff that I thought would be cool for a beach home, when I get a beach house, but until then I think it would look pretty silly in my current place. Best thing about this store is that you can bring your dog in with you and Angus met another little guy and that seemed to dissipate their boredom. The staff was also pretty excited to see a couple of dogs in their store so that made it a nice shopping experience. Of course make sure your dog is incredibly well behaved because in this store, I imagine if your dog pees on it, you buy it!

I also buy Les Deglingo’s stuffed animals for my continually pregnant friends kids. They are so cool and unusual. I’ve also bought some throws here as gifts as well and they were a big hit.

This is a home design store in Brentwood Country Mart, selling pillows, throws, vases, etc. Classy/​cool selection, expensive-​ish.
I’m giving this place four stars because of their small kid’s department where they sell Les Deglingo’s stuffed animals which are so funky and cool. Since I’m 28 years old, you’d think I would be over playing with dolls… but apparently I’m not! I lied to the sales lady and said I was looking at stuff for my niece!
It’s a pretty huge store, it will be interesting to see if it keeps itself in business.
