California Wiz Kids

I would like to commend CWK for the work they do. I have put one child through Wiz Kids and currently have one enrolled. Both of them are acedemically above their peers. Keep the good job up CWK!

My daughter loves CWK! It’s very comforting to send her to a school where she thrives and is excited to go. Their academic program is great!

California Wiz Kids, for me, is the best preschool in this side of L.A.
My daughter has been attending CWK for 4 years. I see her blossom in all aspects (character, social skills and academics). Her enthusiasm in learning makes me confident that I have chosen the best school for my child.
My child amazes me each day. How she can now read complex words and how logical her thinking is.
Our children spend more time in school than at home. I know that this school helped me in raising her.

My daughter has been attending CWK since she was 26 months (she is almost 3 now) and we could not be happier! Her teachers have been wonderful and Janelle, the director, is very good. The education and socialization that our daughter has received has been top-​notch. She’s not even three and can spell her name (which is not short). In addition, she knows her ABC’s and can count to 10 no problem and can, for the most part, get to 20 :) She sings songs, talks a ton and just has blossomed attending this school. My husband and I are very happy!

Our son is almost 5 years old and has attended CWK since age 2. We could not be happier with the choice to send our child here. As two physicians, my husband and I value education and desired a location where he would mature academically and emotionally. At the beginning we were not certain how he would adjust to the academic based program. We worked closely with the teachers and our son soared to levels we are still impressed by today. He has homework M-​Th and actually enjoys reviewing what he learned during class time. He is currently reading short sentences and doing addition and subtraction. We try not to be helicopter parents and have entrusted the CWK staff to not only educate our son but provide a nurturing and loving environment. It is not all about academics either. The school has done a wonderful job putting together field trips for the children and providing some extracurricular activities. It is a very well balanced school in our opinion and we feel blessed to have found CWK.

Our son has been going to the CWK Toddler House for 9 months. There have been some ups and downs but we’ve communicated any concerns we had to the director, Janelle, and she’s very receptive and easy to talk to. The class is small, it’s been between 4 and 10 kids throughout the time we’ve been there (mostly due to older kids graduating as well as a couple kids moving). I cannot say enough wonderful things about the teacher, Alyssa. She is wonderful with the kids and they love her. She is very attentive, engaging and caring. I am happy to leave my son with her each day and love to hear about his day. The school has an academic approach (even for toddlers) so they follow a routine part of which includes a learning time. The cons are that the house doesn’t have central air and it does get pretty warm on hot days. The outdoor area seems pretty good for the toddlers (they recently put down a rubber mat to make it safer for falls). There are lots of toys.
In the 9 months at CWK they’ve worked with the toddlers on the alphabet, talked about animals, counting, shapes, colors, holidays and traffic signals. He learned his body parts from songs during circle time, has ate more vegetables and foods than at home, learned to follow directions and developed a love for reading. He has explored the arts with his senses — learning to finger paint, color and make crafts.
It’s been amazing to see how our son has grown over the last nine months. We have no doubt that he is thriving because of CWK and the wonderful teachers there.
