Cafe London Monochrome

I tend to go to a café because of the atmosphere — I can make a good pourover at home
This place doesn’t have much in the way of atmosphere. Four or five barstools at a cluttered counter, and a couple of outdoor patio tables. Got a latte and it was fine, cost about four fifty. I’d rather go to Document.

The avocado toast was surprisingly fulfilling and good. I literally had no expectation of this place or dish but was surprised by how simple but good it was. The spot is a little awkward. It’s a tiny spot in a shopping mall with very little sitting room inside. There’s a table in the hall and tables outside the shop. The restroom is detached clear across the hall and you have to go through a bit of a maze to get there. Service is a little slow since it’s just a lady and her cashier. Btw we were there on a Saturday morning.

I don’t give many reviews… mainly because there hasn’t been many locations I’ve been to that have warranted praise. This place has earned my praise.
As some reviewers have said, the entrance is actually located on Ardmore rather than 6^th, so do be careful. Parking is not too bad. There’s a parking structure adjacent to the café where you can park. Alternately, you can do street parking as well nearby, although I wouldn’t recommend doing so during the weekdays. This is a location I would recommend walking to or biking to in general since it’s located in Ktown…
This is the kind of place where you can come to if you want to get some work done on a laptop while helping yourself to their selection of coffee and other drinks.
The café mocha is definitely a drink I would recommend. The service was quite prompt. The folks working behind the counter were very friendly as well.
I liked how they played Andrea Brocelli’s Time to Say Goodbye too. It helped set up my impression of the ambiance of the café after I ordered my café mocha.

I’m in love with their waffles and avocado toast! +coffee

the coffee here is. not that good? I haven’t read any of the other reviews, but came here for morning coffee just based on the number of stars on Unilocal.
The batch might’ve just been bad, but the latte was way too sweet and tasted like folgers.

Ok, first a few things
The address is one 6^th but you have to go around the corner, the entrance is on Ardmore.
Secondly, there isn’t actually bike parking but the parking meter worked just fine.
Moving on,
The vibe was great but service slow.
The waffle is perfectly crunchy and fluffy, and has delicious blueberries on top but for some reason I only got ¾ of it…
And my cortado was surprisingly bitter, I think the water was too hot.
So all in all I think this place will be great once they work out a few kinks, for now, 3 stars.

This is a great spot — amazing free parking structure right next door which is a big win in this area. Have a great variety of coffees, smoothies and teas and very friendly service! Not a lot of seating inside but a lot of places to sit and enjoy your drink/​food outside!

Good coffee, good pricing, and overall good vibe from this café. It’s hard to find actual good coffee in Koreatown but you won’t be disappointed here.
oh also, they sometimes play classical music, sometimes LOTR soundtrack. yeah, that’s a HUGE PLUS!

Been there three times so far. I am very surprised how this place got 5 stars for their quality and service. The waffle was hard as rock, no savory flavor nor the texture I expected. I almost felt like I was eating a Lego brick. The owner had been bragging about her home-​made muffin being organic and gluten-​free and all, but the thing is, It may be healthy but not tasty for sure. Oh, almost forgot to mention this, their bottled beverages are very unreasonably high priced.

First off, the owner/​barista here is very pretty. ¹⁰⁄₁₀. Her son is also a catch from what I’ve seen. It’s no wonder this place attracts tons of cute single girls. Soon to be a hot spot for teens and young adults. If it does happen, just know that YABOYMJANG called it. Definitely come check this place out

I was walking down ardmore and a pretty young thang caught my eye. I was so starstruck that I had to get her number. I hollered at the top of my lungs for her to turn around. It was a guy. So instead, to cover up my mistake, I got this wonderful iced coffee from this sweet café of mine. So my mistake, in the end, became a hidden blessing and now I have something to live for, Café London Monochrome. Beat that, Mark.

A friend recommended it but I found it wasn’t really a traditional coffee house. It’s a small café and the first floor of a medical office building. The store itself is very small like a studio apt. They have around 3 stools inside but they have 3 large tables outside with multiples chairs. The inside of the store wasn’t anything particularly special although they did put some thought into the design. I got the iced passion tea ($ 2.75 I think). They have some small food items but I didn’t look too closely. The lady (also owner I’m guessing) was very friendly and helpful and explaining the quality of the teas she uses. I’m not a tea expert so I can’t tell the difference but the passion tea was good.
If you’re just wanting something on the good then it’s fine but if you want to sit down and study or whatever it’s not a fitting place. I think it’s more a 3.5 stars mostly b/​c of the lack of interior space but the prices and friendliness are not lacking.

Café London serves the best coffee I have ever had at any café.

One of LA’s best little coffee shops has opened its doors within 30 seconds walking distance of where I live, and I have this strange feeling of intense satisfaction.
On the corner of Ardmore & 6^th (but a little more on Ardmore, slightly north of 6^th), London Monochrome is a very tiny, but very cosy, classy, and ridiculously clean coffee shop serving a mouth-​watering range of beverages, speciality teas, amazingly fresh coffees and homemade snacks. Lattes, cappuccinos, herbal teas, breakfast teas, juices, waffles, cookies, cakes and sandwiches.
Absolutely lovely. So lovely, in fact, you may want to give it a little squeeze.
Oh, and I’ve since discovered I can walk it in 15 seconds, actually.

There are very few places in L.A. that serve great cappuccinos and lattes, this place is one of them. They have great quality beans that are organic and from Italy. On top of the great smooth taste, it’s a peaceful working environment for programmers and students. You can park in the lot for free.

holy crap~awesome waffle but the best thing is the delicious coffee!!! This place is perfect for people with a sweet tooth. The Ice cream waffles come with nutella and it’s to die for! Very cheap for a café in K Town. planning to bring all my coworkers here!

Great coffee!!! They have such tasty and crunchy waffles! I can’t stop thinking about it T_​T their pricing is very reasonable since cafes around Koreatown are very pricy. I would definitely recommend this place over Loft or Haus if its for a quick grab.

I’m not a coffee drinker. But this place got me started. The coffee doesn’t leave me with a terrible aftertaste and that’s probably because the coffee bean they use here isn’t stored away for months or years. They could use some remodeling inside the café but the dessert and the drinks are on point.
