Marcela is amazing! I’m super picky about my eyebrows (aren’t we all?) and she spends so much time on them and makes them absolutely perfect. Her new studio is so cute, she always has good tunes on and can usually get me in the day I call. Her boyfriend Robert cuts my hair too!

Marcela is super sweet. The studio is a bit hard to find as the entrance is inside the parking fence.
Pretty painless, fast service. Oh, and you can’t beat the price for a wax around the neighborhood.

I’ve been going to Brave Kitty for almost a year now and I’ve always had a great experience. I’m not new to Brazilian waxes and have had pretty bad ones. Marcela definitely knows what she’s doing. My skin feels so smooth after. She’s also good with advice on skin care. This is my go to spot for sure!

I almost had a heart attack but I made it through like a «Brave kitty». Love how Marcela uses different types of waxes and see what works best on you. She was very kind and sweet. The process wasn’t fun obviously but she tried her best to make me comfortable. I would come back again and definitely wait longer for my hair to grow!

Marcela is excellent! I hate getting waxes but she makes the process easy and low on the relative end of the pain spectrum. Very clean, quick, and thorough. She is super knowledgable and I trust her to do what she does, which is a must in the case of waxing.

Just went to see Marcela and she is wonderful! Very clean little studio, and she does everything she can to make you feel comfortable. She uses soft and hard wax, the results are great!
You can pay her in cash or venmo. There is a tiny alley where you can park your car, but be sure to text her before to make an appt.

A little known secret, Marcella gives the BEST FACIAL I have ever received!!! Who’s used a groupon or wrangled a stupidly high priced /​mega elite /​5-​star-​spa experience for one reason or another (I know I have). I can tell you, Marcella’s facial puts every other facial I have ever had — some of which I am embarrassed to say the cost — to shame.
Her facial was a heavenly experience. I think I may have asked her to marry me after, but I was in such a state of blissful delirium, I couldn’t really say. I can say my skin has never felt or looked better after a facial. Wow.
On top of that her knowledge of skin, products, and best practice for an ageless régime is staggering. Don’t walk, run to book a facial with Marcella.

Marcela is awesome! I am so glad I found her (and so close to where I live). I was looking for someone for various waxings for my wedding and found her.
She makes you feel so at ease and goes above and beyond to make sure your work is perfect and just as you want. She works with your schedule and is super personable (perfect when some situations could otherwise be awkward).
I also love that she’s uses various waxes (soft and hard) each depending on specific areas and needs. She’s very good about reducing pain through oils, aloe vera, and her efficient methods. Everything is also very clean there.
I usually only do waxing for special occasions but she’s knowledgable enough to tell me the benefits of doing it more frequently and making the hair more fine. All said, I’m going to make this part of my more regular habit!

Marcela is awesome and I love her place. She’s very knowledgeable and uses different waxes for different areas– she knows her stuff! Reasonable prices as well. I much prefer supporting a local businesswoman over going to a chain like European Wax Center or the like. She’s friendly and quick. Seriously one of the best waxes I’ve ever gotten.

I have been seeing Marcella for my brazillians for almost a year now! There has been a couple times I had to go elsewhere and I soooo regretted it! Marcella is the best, she has years of experience and the all her post/​prep and wax products are the best on the market. I am an Esthetician and extremely picky who I let work on me and I would 100% refer any of my friends to her. Her wax boutique is clean and pleasant and her technique is on point. I wont go to anyone else. If I could give more stars I would! Go see her shes the bombbbb!!!

I’ve been going to Marcela for over a year now and she is absolutely amazing!
As a thick-​haired Italian girl, she has helped me greatly reduce the amount of ingrown hairs I get. She spends time tweezing for strays after and is always very thorough about what types of wax she is using and why. She’s super chill and down to earth while still being professional.
The price is right for a wax, and cheap when compared to most other services (except those you want to run away from). She’s friendly and sweet, and there’s the added benefit of supporting a local buisenesswoman.

Went here for a full arm wax because I saw great reviews on Unilocal and I was extremely disappointed. Not only did she did a poor job but she took an hour and a half. Normally when I go to get my arms waxed, it takes 30 min max. She was really unprofessional and also left me a bad bruise. I know it’s hard to believe that you could have a bruise during the wax, but it happened. And I could feel the stickiness and still see hair after the wax was done. Honestly, after 30 min I wanted to get out of there. I am never going back and don’t recommend anybody else too.

Brave Kitty is located in a cute little building on Virgil (right by Sqirl). You just walk up the stairs in front that lead to the right to get to it. The waxing room has the vibe of a vintage boudoir which is so much cooler than all the other wax places that are lookin like a doctor’s office.

What a hidden treasure! Loved my experience and can’t wait to go back! They do hair too!!!

Marcella is amazing! I love how cozy the setting is inside the room. She pumps some sweet jams and chats with you while she works, and is super down to earth and fun to talk to! She did a great job and was very thorough! Even let me see in the mirror and asked if I’d like anything done (for a brazilian I’ve never had anyone else do that!)
Usually I’m super red for about 3 days after a wax, and it’s only been 24 hours and there is almost zero redness! Needless to say I’m very happy with my wax and I will highly recommend Brave Kitty to my friends!

What matters when you get waxed: price, pain level & result
Price: $ 25 + tip just for a bikini wax is on the expensive side considering there’s plenty of $ 35 + tip places for a full out Brazilian
Pain level: There was no cleaning the area beforehand or anything. It was wax on, wax off. I get waxed all the time but this one hurt a bit more than usual. The wax didn’t come clean off.
Result: This is what I’m upset at. I left sticky, with noticeable stray hairs & the worst part was the REDNESS. I can handle some pink/​redness for a couple hours after a wax (that’s normal), but my bikini area was RED for 3 days straight. I put on a bikini the next day and was embarrassed to go to the beach. The area felt irritated & it showed. The only other time this happened was when I got waxed at a nail salon (bad idea my friends). So, for this being a waxing salon… it’s no good for me.

5 stars? NO, more like infinity stars! Marcela is amazing! You can tell she loves what she does! Takes so much care and time to make you feel absolutely comfortable and painless! This was my first time for Brazilian wax and I’ve thought about going other places but I do not regret coming here at all. She leaves NO hair behind, and makes you extremely smooth. She has music playing, very intimate setting and relaxing. She is great and definitely recommend her to anyone! I can’t be any more happier with my wax and I will be a regular customer here.

Got my first time brazilian wax done by Marcella and she is the sweetest!!! She’s really nice and the procedure wasn’t as hurt as i thought it was bearable. It was fast, done in no time. She knows how to make you feel less hurt! I have a really really low pain tolerance and it went so well.
The room is so private and intimate and comfortable!
She also explained to me about the procedures and everything i need to know.
I would definitely go to her again!
