It takes forever to get your food because the cook is sometimes playing the role of cashier as well. I have had the chicken kabobs several times and each time they are chewy and just not enjoyable. Yes, they give you a lot of food, but if the quality is not good, it’s not worth it.

Me and my buddy come here like 2 – 3 times a week. Family run business and everyone is so nice. Chicken pita is my go to. My buddy gets the chicken plate. Healthiest/​best tasting spot anywhere near Vermont and wilshire. And we’ve tried them all. Employees are like family and I love that about the owners. Food is inexpensive and it has a nice patio to watch the hustle and bustle pass you by. Highly recommend.

If this can be given a zero star review it would! Cannot justify it by the food since we did not try it. The service was probably the worse service I have experienced in Los Angeles. We ordered a chicken wrap with humus inside and the cashier blatantly laughed in our faces and said that’s «not how it works.» Even though other establishments clearly put the humus in the wraps either way it’s my choice on how I want my damn wrap. The lady pretty much resisted to add humus on the wraps until she finally caved in and added the humus for 4.99??? Not even whole foods does this! WHOLE FOODS PEOPLE! Their food must be amazing but for the rude, dismissive, and complacent service I don’t think so. No wonder the place is empty and dirty. Unpresentable and worthless! Roaches in the building too! Buyers beware of this pitiful joke of a restaurant.

Earlier around noon, I wanted to ordered two chicken wraps with hummus in both wraps in which I’ve had before and the older lady with the blue eyes refused to fulfill the order. Not only that, she laughed and she said it would ruined the hummus. Without asking, she was going to charge me for two wraps and a bowl of hummus. Not cool and unprofessional of her.

I love this place! Please order ahead of time as it tends to get a little crowded especially during lunch time. I recommend their chicken kabob plate with a side hummus or their chicken wraps with hummus! The people here are always fast & never rude! Get a chance to check it out if you’re in the area & in the mood for Mediterranean! :)

This place is really good and conveniently located near the Metro subway line. Nice staff and delicious food. It’s Syrian not Greek but still bomb food, despite the inaccurate tag.

Amazeballzzzzzz falafel!!!
I was starving, Bob’s happen to be right beside me and decided to get their falafel without thinking. The falafel tasted crispy on the surface and very flavorful on the inside. And they were huge!!! The hummus was A+
Will definitely come back here to eat. Aside from falafel, they had kabob, salad, various Mediterranean dishes, pastries (i spotted red velvet) and coffee. This place is definitely a great place to eat/​grab snack anytime during the day.

Came in because of day 7 of jury duty. Passed by this place everyday while going to lunch, and ifinally decided to try this place. Ordered the combo plate and I was not disappointed. The chicken and beef were really good.

The Greek plates are terrific. Affordable, filling and delicious. Loved the patio seating too. I’d love to come back and try more from the menu.

I just spent the last few minutes clicking back and forth between 3 and 4 stars because I couldn’t decide between the two.
Based on the other good reviews here from fellow Unilocalers, I decided to try out this place that is walking distance from my building. Mediterranean food is my favorite for during the week, healthy, cheap eats. I got the chicken kebab plate and added a side of hummus and got two orders of taboulleh. The food was fresh and flavorful (probably about 4 stars)
Points off goes to the atmosphere and service. The poor cashier was both the cook and cashier and frequently had to run between the two. Definitely understaffed. The phone rang multiple times and was left unanswered. Probably people who wanted stuff to go that they lost business on.
While the cashier left to prepare other people’s food, another employee walked in. It seemed like was coming off a delivery. I wouldn’t say he was rude or anything like that but felt like the customer service experience could have been better and more inviting.
Lastly, I didn’t see a bathroom for patrons to use and there were two random people just sitting there watching the TV who did not have food and who seemed to be camping out there.
I’ll go back, but there are definitely things that could be worked on from their end.

A gem!!! The owner not only takes your order, but takes great pride in his food. When you walk up, the scent of aromatic herbs lulls you in. Combo plate beef and chicken kabob with TWO sides (rice, hummus, tabouli, salad, babaganoosh)…wait for it… EIGHT BUCKS! Extra side, a mere $ 2.50. Generous portions. Bottled water only $ 1.
The meat was amazingly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The tabouli was off the chain! My fav for sure.
5 stars. This guy has elevated Wilshire/​Vermont.

Best greek/​mediterranean food I’ve had in the area. The prices are cheap compared to other places and the guys that work there are super chill and helpful. Bob’s is solid and I go there when I’m wanting greek and don’t want to take a chance on a new place. Tip: the baba ghanoush is so good.

Found this place on Unilocal and got my craving satisfied.
We got dolma, chicken plate and falafel wrap. Every thing tasted very home-​made and made you feel like you were sitting down at a fancy restaurant. Definitely will be coming back.
Parking is available in the back.

A classmate ordered for delivery for our entire legal writing class and boy did it hit the spot. Hungry law students and fresh Mediterranean food is always a good idea.
First, he ordered a garden salad with a balsamic vinegar, hummus w/​pita bread, chicken and beef kabob, and pilaf rice. They delivered promptly at 7:30 right as class was about to start. I didn’t eat the kabob but can only attest to the hummus, rice, and salad. Everything was great and they provided us with plenty of
utensils to go around.

I ordered the chicken kabob and falafel plate. The chicken plate came with rice and salad. The chicken was really good! The rice and salad were good, too. The falafel was tasty as well. It came with a side of hummus, sliced pita bread and salad. The hummus was very good! The pita bread was kinda small and thin compared to other places I’ve ordered from but still satisfactory. I will definitely order from this place again. Also the food was estimated to come by 5:41pm-5:51pm but it actually got here at 5:29pm. Fast delivery!

I can’t speak to the authenticity of the food here, but I do know it was delicious, and very reasonably priced. The older man who runs the place was really sweet, and offered us extra pita bread at no charge.
I ordered the beef kabob plate, which came with two skewers of really well seasoned beef and two sides; I chose hummus+pita bread and rice. The hummus was delicious, but the rice was a little bland and the pita bread was much thinner and tougher than I’m used to, but still tasted fresh.
Seems like a great place to stop and have lunch if you work in the area. They also have coffee and pastries, I’ll definitely have to try those next time I’m here.

Wow!!! I was STARVING and was just looking for a place to eat cheap and healthy and this came across my Unilocal.
ONE OF THE BEST FALAFELS IVE EVER HAD. The FALAFELS came straight out and were SOOO crispy and soft and perfect. The guy was so attentive and I could tell he really cared about what I wanted and was very flexible if I wanted to substitute without any extra cost.
The portions were very good as well and I was very happy afterwards :) thank you!

I had the chicken kabob (comes with rice and salad). Portions are generous. Also, had a bite of the falafel wrap which I found surprisingly tasteful (my friend devoured her wrap in what felt like seconds before I could ask for a second bite).
Bob’s Café has outdoor sitting and for that I will happily give this eatery 4 stars.

I am really not a huge fan of any authentic Mediterranean or Middle eastern food, but something about this place that keeps on dragging me back innnn.
I always order the same thing — Chicken Kabob plate. It comes with rice and Greek salad and it’s ONLY $ 7.00. The seasoning on the chicken is not too strong and doesn’t carry any strong authentic Middle Eastern food smell.

They updated their menu board and so it’s nice to be able to see what dishes they have. You can eat there or call ahead and order for pickup.
I still like their panini and now, digging their falafel plate. The four (4) falafel balls are the right amount of crunchiness and seasoning of ground chickpeas and fave beans. Along with the dish includes their house salad with their Mediterranean dressing — sweet and tangy and hummus with sliced pita bread for dipping. Top it off with a drink and it’s a hearty and healthy lunch for you.
Service: sweet and friendly. They will bring the food to you and cleanup for you afterwards. Or, if the trash can is near you, you can do it yourself too.
Seating: inside and patio seating on a cool day is fabulous :)
