Came to get a hair cut from Vince at the Black Scale Pop barbershop but never got the haircut. I made an appointment a week before, showed up on time and waited over 20 minutes only to be told that the barber Vince was on vacation in Hawaii. Im dissappointed with the service, the least the store could have done was call me to let me know my appointment was cancelled. I ended up wasting my afternoon going to and from BlackScale in traffic.
To calm myself down, I decided to treat myself and buy a couple shirts. The shirts look great, as they had some designs that I’ve never seen but when I got home I noticed one of the white shirts I purchased had a bunch of hair on it. It was either used or it could be the hair from the barbershop area on their 2nd floor.
I really was looking forward to a more pleasant experience but instead got a very unprofessional experience.

Mega & his crew have a nice store here on La Brea. I remember when this was one side of the Volcom store back in the day. It’s distinctively Black Scale now. Clothing selection includes everything from their tees to collabo ones, sweats to outerwear. Quality of the goods is really nice. Staff is friendly. Look of the store is clean. Just what you would expect. Great execution… Also another good thing. Nice of Mega to let Vince the Barber have a pop up barbershop upstairs while they get the next space ready. Won’t soon forget that.

Love this place ! The staff is super chill, and helpful, not pretentious at all like some other places that will go unnamed. Love the clothes .i feel it’s one of the only street wear brands that successfully crosses over into different styles and cultures.

Came here while on vacation and the place is really cool. They have some art on the wall which is pretty dope. The clothing here is really nice, a bit on the pricy side but what isnt nowadays. The staff is top notch, very friendly and helpful!

I haven’t yet bought anything, but I’m impressed. It’s not painfully trendy, which I appreciate. It maanges to be understated, but different and the quality and detail seem to warrant the prices. Best of all, the guys who work here are very nice and welcoming… a rarity in this stretch of retail hipstistan.
