Black Milk Los Angeles

Heck yes. It’s like American Apparel’s evil counterpart. A good spot if you need a stand out party outfit. Should have come here before NYE. Didn’t try anything on, but the fabrics felt thick and divine. The sewers are working away right in the store. Really excited about this one.

Awesome place! I was worried about the complaints concerning limited sizing but all I had to do was ask and was given everything I was looking for in a size Medium. The girl working there was SUPER nice and helpful. And yes, while this location is in a kinda scary warehouse district, this store has parking right out front, a security guard outside, and is very clean and well kept. I also noticed that this place had better prices than online! I got the matte zip skater dress I’ve been wanting for $ 60 as opposed to the $ 88 it costs online. I will definitely be coming back!

I absolutely love BlackMilk! So when they opened up a store close to home, I got super excited. All the lovely «Sharkies» are very helpful and welcoming. They have a variety of amazing clothing from: Dresses, crop tops, short, leggings, catsuits, and more. You have to be careful with parking on the street, so please pay close attention to the signs. They do have a private lot behind the shop, but parking can be limited. To anyone that loves an awesome community of fashionistas, and fabulous/​comfy clothes, definitely check out the store.

As a Sharkie (BM fan/​nut) I absolutely love coming here. The store itself is awesome and still has some of the discontinued museum pieces that are sold out online, which is awesome. Also, there’s a dedicated museum rack of special reissues/​leftover stock of items which is pretty rad, too.
The store itself is, to me, in an ideal location and I know all the good places to nom nearby since I used to live in the area. You want pizza? Pizzanista across the street. Coffee with your girlfriends before you shop? Stumptown around the corner. You get the picture. They have a small lot behind the store and plenty of street parking.
For the price point and quality, the nylon is awesome. Most of those cool muscle print legs you see on random sites, Amazon, etc. Yeah, those are Black Milk rips. Also, the prints are blurry; I tried them out before I tried the real thing. THE REAL THING TRUMPS ALL.
Come to the store. See the shiny bits. Stay for the awesome ladies that work there who, by the way, are the best people ever. So sweet, so nice. They always check stock for me when I need a size that isn’t out on the floor.

Have only ever been on Saturdays, never had a problem with street parking.

Love this place more than my actual home.

I came here 4 days ago since I had missed the grand opening.
PROS:
–yay, Black Milk’s now in the US! I’m thrilled they decided to open in LA 1^st!!!
–easy to find
–cashiers are super helpful & friendly
–they now have size XL!!!
–fitting rooms available w/​cool BM curtains
CONS:
–located downtown in the hood
–limited st parking; watch for st sweeping signs
–I was disappointed that they have limited selections of sizes & available apparel in store
–still very pricey
OVERALL REVIEW:
I’d come back to visit but I hope they re-​stock their items soon. I don’t wna have to wait to purchase online from their AUS site.
