So, I needed to get a second key cut for a recently bought used car that only came with one. After getting no service(and a low-key rude phone brush-off) from a much higher-rated locksmith a few blocks away, I gave this place a try. Small, no-frills, round-the-way, Mom-and-Pop-type operation. Guy behind the counter cuts the key, takes my $ 2.50, and I leave. Try the key in the car — no dice. Bring it back, just to find out that there is a chip in the key that must be programmed in order for it to work in the ignition(did I mention that I am about as car-dumb a guy as you are likely to meet?) Guy tells me it’ll cost $ 150 and take about 30. I go for it. Bring the car round back(Said Mom-and-Pop are in the back room watching TV) and head next door to Tam’s for breakfast. Not even 25 mins. later, my new locksmith comes and gets me — the key is ready. I pay the man, drive off and never look back. Long story short, they got the job done, and I got some huevos rancheros for my trouble. All in all, a good morning.

I heard about this place because they have Hello Kitty keys here, and my BFF and I are Hello Kitty fanatics! So I stopped by on Monday 6⁄27 at about 6:30p to see if I could get some keys made and to have my locks all keyed to the same key. I walked in and spoke to a lady who said they could re-key all my locks, but I would need to bring the locks back another day because they were closing… Ok, no big deal. I will bring them back the next day. I called the next day at 5:40p to see if I could bring in the keys and spoke with a male(the owner) and he informed me that it was too late to bring the keys in because they were closed for the day! I asked him did they change their closing hours daily because yesterday I spoke with a lady who told me they close at 6:30 daily… He rudely replied that they close between the hours of 5:00 and 6:30, but today they were closing early because no one was on call??? WTF??? Who has closing hours that vary a hour and a half… After that conversation, I decided that I didn’t want to do business with these people because they seem real inconsistent. Being a Customer Service Manager at a bank, I believe that delivering great customer service is # 1… SO if your looking for that, go else where!
