The acupuncturist Jason Star is a really lovely guy. His herbs have cured my kid’s ear infections when no antibiotics could, and he has fixed a wealth of problems from head colds, to pregnancy hemorrhoids for me, and even started the labor of my overdue 9 lb. son.
Oh, and Dr. Berlin turned my stubborn breech baby right on his table.

Dr. Berlin was recommended by my OB when we discovered baby was breech at 34 weeks. Thankfully, my doctor was very patient and encouraging and suggested we try this first (if I was open) before we considered the other alternatives, which sounded a little scary because placenta is on top of baby.
I visited his office twice before my 36 week appointment. I saw him the first time and his associate Dr. Annie the second. As I mentioned in a mommies group, his reassurance about the whole thing (baby flipping or not) really set me at ease emotionally. He explains everything so well and talks you through the «hard» part of the massage (which is really useful). So when I had my 36 week appointment and baby hadn’t flipped, I was ok.
At the 37 week appointment, I found out our baby boy flipped! (I had felt something earlier in the week but was determined not to get my hopes up too high so I was truly relieved and happy when I found out at the appointment.)
As one of the previous reviewers mentioned, the cost of the sessions (and parking) is nothing compared to the physical and emotional cost of a c-​section recovery — especially when you have a 2−½ year old toddler.

My doctor asked me to schedule a c-​section because our baby was frank breech at 34 weeks. I was really sad that were not offered any alternatives besides crawling on my elbows and knees twice a day for 5 minutes which was not working. Through word of mouth we found out about Dr Berlin’s technique and success rate, scheduled our visit, and Dr Berlin got our baby to turn head down before the end of our second session. Yes the first appointment is $ 200 (the second appointment is closer to 150), and yes parking is 6 bucks, but there is nothing I want more than the best possible start for our first child… So even though we are by no means rich, the cost was not an issue because our health and babies wellness are 2 of our top priorities and his success rate made it worth the investment (somewhere upward of 60%).
He is a gentle spirit, super knowledgeable and later we learned is one of THE experts for prenatal chiropractic work and helping turn breech babies. In addition to helping our baby land into position he helped me with some severe hip pain that was making it hard for me to walk. We are forever grateful!

Dr. Berlin has a great team of true experts who will help you during and after your pregnancy. I am seeing him as a chiropractor, Jason as an acupunturist and Deanza as a massage therapist. Highly recommend! The place is very busy at times but Dr. Berlin always tries to fit you in in case of an emergency. Easy valet parking.
