So before I write this review I just want to mention Nineth was a nice lady, but with all do respect she had no clue what she was doing with my hair. Day 1: I went in for a consultation, Nineth looked at my hair and I told her«verbally» what I wanted and also showed her a picture. I asked how much it would be for the Ombré Bayalge and she said one price, then the lady in the front who I assume was the manager said another, So they both agreed on $ 110. I added to our conversation that if it was something that she could not do just let me know and I would respect her honesty and go somewhere else. The reason that I was going to this shop was BC my original salon in Glendale was too far at the moment, and not to mention I had just got into a car accident. So I was excited and happy yet anxious to start the Next day! Off the subject, not that it may matter but just thought I let you all know how much of a inconvenience at the end it was for me. So it was my first time being away from my 5month old who I breast-feed, but was much needed so I made arrangements to have a mommy make-over the following day. Day 2: when I got in she looked at my hair again and once again we went over it and looked at pictures, I wanted dark underneath as a base close to the color of my roots so when my roots grow out they just blend in so it’s not as high maintenance, considering the fact that I’m a stay home Mommy not trying to do my hair every month. The bottom was going to be blonde which I already had and in between on top of the dark you’ll see some highlights blending into the blonde at the bottom. So you get the picture I was trying to go for the Khloe Kardashian/JLO look. So then I said«110 right»? She said«well I didn’t know you had roots and it won’t look good if we don’t do your roots so $ 150. I was like wtf, but didn’t say anything! Now all of a sudden trying to add $ 40 more when I came in the day before and really wasn’t trying to color my roots because that’s what I wanted. Not that $ 150 is bad, but I would have much rather paid $ 300 at a high end salon at Studio Kay where it’s Beautiful relaxing and complimentary Danishes and drinks and know what their doing. My bad, lesson #1 you get what you pay for, and never go anywhere you don’t know or have never seen their work! It was actually a mistake going there BC someone had recommended me to a salon in a shopping center with a F&Easy Next’s by. I looked at another lil hair shop and by judging a Little hole in the wall I said I don’t think it’s this one. But now that I know it was that one, and you know what they say about that „Don’t judge a book by it’s cover“. The Little hole in the walls are actually more then likely good». So long, long story short at the end I ended up with brassy orangish, reddish at the top and fried blonde at the bottom which really didn’t need to be touched. Highlights what highlights? You couldn’t even notice, 5hrs wasted! Last but not least my hair cut, I wanted bangs to the side in a angle some to the right, some to the left, hair layered in a V shape. Instead I came out looking like Joe Dirt with a mullet! When she was blow drying I told her«I don’t like it, what’s with the brass and she said she noticed it too. Wtf, she was just waiting for me to say something, seriously why couldn’t she«say hey it’s not the color we wanted.» Why wait for her customer to say something, so then she asked me to come back the following Monday. I thought about it and Said«Hell No» I rather pay again the 2nd time and get it Right! Although I normally go to Studio Kay it was still too far, so I went back to my other spot in Burbank Joseph Lamar BC it still is closer to home. I spent 5hrs there yesterday, but got the look I wanted and was very Satisfied Rachel did an amazing job. It just sucked that I had to pay again and take long hrs of repairing my hair and took away from our only family day.
