Charged me the wrong amount and when I mentioned it they pointed to the fine print that says«prices subject to change without prior notice»

This is one of the best hamburger places I have ever been to. The service is always good. These burgers just simply are beyond comparison with anything else I’ve ever seen. This is one of my favorite family places.

I literally never write Unilocal reviews. Ever. This was a top 5 burger of my life… anyone who doesn’t rate this a 4 or a 5 is crazy. If you’re looking for a great burger and chill atmosphere, tough to top Barney’s!

Stopped here with my parents. It was incredible. Between our group we had a side salad, burger and hot dog. All delicious. Servers were smiling and helpful. Decently priced.

I was in the neighborhood today for an appointment across the street so I decided to check this place out for the first time. I’m trying to stay on the healthier side so I ordered the Beet Salad. If you love greens, beets, and goat cheese you must try this salad. Very delicious! It comes with chicken but I’m kosher so I asked them to replace the chicken with falafel and they had no problem making the switch. Really friendly and quick service! Will be back!

I have to start off by saying the curly fries are the reason I go to Barney’s. They are so so so good. They are fried to perfection, never too soggy or too crispy. I usually order the Falafel Pita. It’s a safe pick for me. While incredibly messy and difficult to eat without using a fork, it is pretty good. You can tell the falafel is always fresh, along with all the other ingredients for that matter. I order out typically for lunch and the falafel is a good, healthy option. I’ve also tried the Veggie Club and have to admit, I was not a fan. I honestly think the sandwich would be better without the grilled bell pepper and zucchini but then you’d be taking away the two main ingredients. Lastly, I have also had the Barney’s Hot Dog. All the hot dogs are served on a French baguette so it’s a pretty heavy meal. However, I like the hot dog because of the bread. It’s nothing special but still pretty good.

Burgers were tasty but place was small and limited in seating. I was feeling daring and ordered the chili cheese burger. I was happy with it because I was famished due to the wait. My wife and I didn’t feel that great the next day, might have been the burger but not sure. Either way, I prefer burger lounge down the street. Although you get many more options for toppings, it’s best to just stick with being good at one kind. Overall disappointed, won’t be back.

Had to navigate the LA Marathon road closures to get here, but the staff was very friendly and had my food ready right away.

Stopped by for dinner with the family one night. The place is very clean and has modern décor. the staff was very helpful, answered all of our questions and accommodated all of our requests. I got the santa fe chicken salad, but substituted falafel for chicken. The salad ingredients were very fresh and delicious and the falafels were moist inside and crunchy outside and very flavorful. Ask for the dressing on the side because it is kind of strong and if you dont like it, its going to ruin the whole salad. My cousins got the grilled chicken salad and burger and loved it. Will be back!

Came here late Friday night for a quick meal. This place were lacking in seats but definitely not in taste or service. Both the boyfriend and I enjoyed the meal, and portions are very very HUGE! I loved the fact that you can have the garden burger and add any type of burger style to it. Super valuable for vegetarians. Will definitely come back. Parking is tricky here, the only option is park in the back with valet.

Supposed to be closing at 10pm. Called at 9:30 and they confirmed it was still open. Arrived at 9:45 and they tell us they are closing early. A disgrace and do not deserve to be in business anymore. No customer in the restaurant no wonder why with this poor level of service!

The burgers here are so juicy and delicious! There is a fairly large list to choose from as well. I got the Barney’s burger and added cheese. I surprisingly finished the entire burger. I wish their burgers would come with a side of fries. The service here is nothing special. They didn’t come refill our waters at all. The place is small as well. Parking in the back is free for the first 45 minutes. Overall, the service wasn’t great but I would come back here for the scrumptious burgers!

They have a super long list of burger options. I’ve tried a few and they are all pretty good. But the best thing on their menu is hands down the truffle parmesan fries. Worth the trip just for those.

I love Barneys! I don’t eat red meat and it’s surprisingly difficult to find good turkey burgers. Barneys had delicious turkey burgers, great garlic fries and all three times I’ve gone the service has been wonderful.

LOVE these burgers! Have eaten here many times and never a complaint. Burgers are perfect… just the right thickness of meat and all the flavor you need. Highly recommend the pesto burger and the truffle fries! My kids love it all as well. Staff are always friendly and the restaurant is always clean. It’s just the right size to feel quaint and inviting.

Manager reached out to me and expressed his concern for my service. I was very impressed with their professionalism and desire to fix a bad customer experience. I haven’t been back but I will definitely give it another shot and post another update.

I was disappointed in Barney’s. I wanted to like it because its so close to my apartment but the burger had little to no taste. The burger was overcooked(I asked for Medium and it was cooked well done). There wasn’t much seasoning used on the burger and even the mushrooms lacked taste. However, the service was good and the fries were pretty good as well(the burgers are served without fries, so you have to ask for an order of fries). Next time I will just stick to ordering some fries.

A neighborhood gem! Barney’s is a quaint burger joint with small town vibes, nestled on bustling restaurant row on San Vicente in Brentwood. I love living walking distance from Barney’s and I’m disappointed in myself for not trying it sooner. The selection of burgers, sandwiches and salads is incredible! They have a whole page of specialty burgers, and I love that you can substitute a turkey or salmon patty for the beef. The ingredients are undeniably fresh and I appreciate the open kitchen. They have burgers and sandwiches to satisfy any craving, but I prefer to stick with the classic hamburger, or baja burger which comes with avocado and salsa. The salads are also heaping! I love the barbeque chicken salad. The chicken is grilled fresh and well seasoned. The side dishes are what really set Barney’s apart from other burger joints. The truffle fries are freshly fried, thin, crisp and topped with a small sprinkle of parmesan cheese. The onion rings have a delicious crisp and salty breading, are served with a thick and fresh ranch dressing and are enormous! Service is extremely friendly and I like that they take your order at the table. They have a nice selection of beer and wine, and prices, for the quality of the fare are very reasonable.

I LOVETHISPLACE!!! I come here very often on my lunch break and my husband and I come here for dinner sometimes. Aside from the fact that their food is great, I’m always very impressed with their customer service. They always go above and beyond, and they are extremely friendly! I’m a fan!

They get 5 stars for their legit chocolate milkshakes. In fact, their milkshakes made me realize there are few well made milkshakes here in LA and Barney’s has inspired me to become a chocolate milkshake connoisseur. Also, their sweet potato fries are top notch and I got a BBQ chicken salad here last week and I was actually surprised how delish it was.

Barneys isn’t exactly a ‘destination’ restaurant… It’s just a really good neighborhood joint. Curley fries are ridiculously good and the chicken sandwiches are decent. Only real standout is the Caribbean style because their veggies are really really good. Also had the special burger new on their menu, I’d stick with the regulars. If it were that good it’d be on the menu right?!

This place is adorable and awesome in a casual way. I walked by here one day around lunchtime on the weekday and decided to give it a try. At first, I thought it was a Barney’s Beanery type deal, but indeed, it is not. I had one of their burgers with a side of onion rings, and it was really frickin’ good. I thought it was overpriced, but now I know that burgers can run you easily $ 20 in this great city of angels, so compared to that, it is very reasonable. Love the rustic décor. Service was excellent. Parking can be an issue in this area, but you can usually find a free spot in the residential side streets.

it was originally a 4 star for me but the service bumped me up to five. Ate here with my family on Saturday because we were in the neighborhood and just decided to pop in. I had the Barney’s Burger and it was pretty good, not the best I’ve ever had but still pretty good. It was on the pricier side but seeing as it’s brentwood that was kind of expected. The service here was really awesome though, we were helped by some African American guy with long dreads? He never gave us his name but he was pretty damn nice, thanks a lot mystery guy! Overall not a bad place to grab lunch or a quick bite, food is pretty tasty!

Barney, dude, what are you doing here man? The burger craze came, gorged, then bolted up to San Fran to try to make a cameo in their chowder scene. Seriously. If you have special ingredients and formula to make a lasting, legit, non-fad burger, by all means, say the words and I’m there. Sadly, Barney’s is not a special piece of meat. It’s thin-pattied with beef juice sogging up already thoroughly uninspired bun. Don’t get confused looking at the many menu options. Really, they’re all the same, The mushrooms seemed to jump right out of the can, forcing me to fork down half a dozen rubbery mushyrooms that will likely be locked in the bowels of inner GI system for years to come. Oh and here’s the best part, the bill. The bill for 1 rather crap burger and 1 order of fries … take a guess. Granted, the was their«larger» fry order, but one which is still made for single person consumption — $ 17! 17DOLLARS for B-grade beef core and knockoff Counter fries. Dude. Shaking me head,

Great place to grab a burger and a milk shake. The burger menu is extensive and everything looks good. I got the Maui Waui because I love me some pineapple and C-Bacon! It was delicious. We also got a basket of fresh curly fries which I highly recommend. The milk shakes are exemplary! Great atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Jeremy was super friendly, hopefully you’ll get him on your visit! He recommended an excellent beer based on my what style I liked most. A super satisfying meal!

つº oº つ RAISEYOURCUTLERY つº oº つ Quick Bite: Great Burgers, almost flawless sides, and friendly staff. Your burger dollar will not be spent in vain here! Full Course: Barneys gourmet burgers(not to be confused with Barneys Beanery), is a burger place nestled in Brentwood. If you arent familiar with Brentwood, it has to be one the worst places to find parking spot. Like, holy shit. They should rename it Valettown, cause trying to park in Brentwood can make even the most thrifty driver consider paying for the privilege of leaving his/her vehicle. But I was fortunate enough to find a spot before losing all hope. The inside is reminiscent of a diner, there’s a bar area with stools, booths, some art up on the walls, etc. My fellow questers and I started with two sides, an order of steak fries and and order of onion rings. The steak fries are meh. They aren’t salted enough, not over or undercooked, just kinda blah which is disappointing for a quality burger place like this. This calls to mind the rule that the fries must be on the same level as the burgers, they need one another. That’s like putting sugar free syrup and country crock on waffles made from scratch. However, Barney’s Gourmet Burgers does make a damn fine onion ring. The breading is suuuper thick, and they’re even sprinkled with a little Parmesan cheese. One of the most impressive and unique onion rings I’ve ever eaten. The burgers themselves are nothing short of excellent. I think Barneys isn’t inclined to take a lot of risks with their food, but rather just perfect the fundamentals and deliver something simple. My Baja Burger came with avocado, bacon, cheese, and a little side of salsa. That’s it. Their medium well is executed beautifully, the ingredients are super fresh and presented with some thought and care. So if you do pay them a visit, expect quality, just not a lot of bells and whistles.
