I don’t know if this place is still open under the same name or have vibe as it did when I was a regular. I would come EVERY Wednesday because that was thee night to be there. Free entry, open bar from10−11, great music what else could you ask for? I would stay until the light came on every time! I even met some really cool people there that I still keep in touch with! One of them I’m halfway in love with(a whole other story) Ha! I miss you BD! You’ll go down in history as the best Wednesday spot ever!

This place I will never go back… The place is small very small and yet everyone was trying to dance, and some of the fools on the dance floor trying to get down with whatever girl terrible…and the restroom is very small as well I guess they were going for a small theme odd because there is deluxe in the name Now for the drinks are very expensive and for anyone that goes out no one wants to spend a lot unless you have that kind of money… well in my opinion im pretty sure the other places in the area are wayyyy better

I don’t know too much about hollywood bars, and this is definitely a bar and not a club. Pretty tight walking spaces, and a small back patio smoking area. Good music, but its like 80% guys there. At least you can get in with sneakers and t-shirts if you’re on the guestlist.

Pretty small venue. Basically 2 walkways and 1 leads to the bar. Parking sucks but it’s Hollywood so it’s expected. There’s a nice little fireplace to sit by which is nice until your back starts to sweat… then it’s not so fun anymore. I went on a Saturday night and I’d say the crowded is a little older(late 20s/early 30s and above) and lots of «macho» men in Ed Hardy. Did I mention I have no respect for anyone who wears Ed Hardy? Sorry Bar Delux, not too impressed.

It was like 2 hallways put together with a wall down the middle of it. No dance space, $ 20 is waaaay too much to get in, and too crowded. Music was ok, but this place seems more fun for groups that have reserved tables, not for going out dancing. More of a hang out place I guess.

I don’t get it… is it closed? or not? cause i visited for my first time last month and it was definitely still open. anyways, music was awesome, space is beautifully decorated, but it’s definitely small. the door guys were charging 20 bucks per person at the front, and i’m so happy we didn’t have to pay.(how can you say no to me?) i would understand paying 20 bucks to get into a club… and even then it would have to be a sure thing/good time, but this is most definitely just a(pretty, but) small bar/lounge so i thought it was a little steep. you enter in and you have the bars on your left, a row of booths/tables on your right, stairs, and one more row of booths/tables. no real space to dance… with all the other sweet spots on cahuenga, i don’t think i’ll be coming back here.

I gave it 4 stars because it was easy to get in I liked the DOC, The music was dope, people were actually dancing, mixed crowd, cool atmosphere, free before 11(20 afterwards, thats some BS), for the sparklers that seemed to come every 20 minutes, my friend had a good Bday, and the fight at the end really just capped off the night! Hey– its Hollyhood! what do you expect?

1÷9÷10 No line and didn’t pay to get in, the décor is very nice and it is a small venue but I think that’s a good thing. The smokers louge does need some work, its very small and located in the back alley, feels like an after thought. The drinks can be expensive and they automatically charge the gratuity on your bill so be aware of that. The DJ that night was playing the bomb sh*t and had me moving to it. Good lounge areas over looking the two bars and huge fire place in the middle. me likes…

Came here last night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Never heard of this place until my friend invited me here. I didn’t have any problems. I was on the glist. Didn’t have to wait in any line(I came at 1045pm) and my friend had 2 tables reserved. My friends client now owns this place… he’s super cool. When I left around 12ish… there was a bunch of people waiting to get in and of course traffic & parking is horrible since it’s in the middle of Hollywood! So beware! Cute, intimate setting. Not a huge venue but good vibe. Love the green wall lighting and the chandeliers. The DJ last night played alot of good songs, so that was a plus! –1 star for the hassle of dealing with stupid drivers in the area and expensive parking! But it’s an experience for sure. Or be like me… have someone drop you off and pick you up to minus the Hollywood drama. I’m a fan! If you’re in the area… like any other club… come early!

I was a little more than skeptical about Deluxe after I checked out their website. Clubs never look good when the lights are on and in the photos the green wall makes the place look like a bad movie set. However, since my friend was having his birthday party here — I was stuck going. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s hard to judge the crowd based on one visit, but it was a decent mix of people. I read some reviews about complaining about the crowd. This is LA; if you can’t be in the same room as porn stars, bar tenders with big fake boobs, and douchie men — don’t bother to go out to Hollywood. Just don’t be a snob and turn up your real nose about it. I would sort of compare Deluxe to Hyde as far as the basic style and size. However, I wouldn’t go back to Hyde and would like to check out Deluxe again. The DJ was one of the best I had heard in a long time, too bad there wasn’t a dance floor. Sadly he wasn’t the regular DJ. The drinks are the standard Hollywood price. The layout and seating are designed well so you can move around and do not feel claustrophobic in their long and somewhat narrow space.

This place gets three stars because I love art deco but I hate loud club music in a clearly loungely atmosphere. Maybe my mistake was going on Saturday night. Management was very nice, doormen were friendly and sweet. Check out the little nook upstars with extra bathrooms and a dark little corner with lush walls and comfy seating if things on the floor level get too hectic.

This place is tiny! It’s a small space with an art deco vibe going on. Really cool space with tables and two bars. I like that they don’t let it get too crowded in there because it makes it easy to go to bar and grab a drink. Came here last night with a large group and the trick people is really easy, be nice to the bouncer. Flirt. Flutter you eyelashes. Leave your Hollywood wanna be attitude at the door and the velvet ropes open… like butter. Plus, when you’re nice, when you come back, they remember you. Remember the bouncers name. Its soo easy. Anyway, enough with that. Back to the bar… We had a table for our large group, and we were right next to the DJ station, there’s no dance floor, but there’s a little aisle that you can shake your groove thing at. Two small bathrooms downstairs, but upstairs, there are two private ones. Go upstairs, there’s no line. Drinks are priced at about $ 13 for premium spirits… have no clue what the price of bottle service is, but I would imagine it’s a grand or so. bouncers are extremely nice and friendly as are the bartenders. There were a couple Hollywood wanna bes there, and I’m shocked at how they act, really people. Don’t be fake. They know you’re a wanna be. I like smaller spaces, so I’ll be back… I think I’m too old for conventional night clubs anyway…

Don’t mind the one-star reviews. You get the types that are embarrassed that they have to wait outside in line or are denied entry that drop 1 star reviews. How are you going to rate a place you can’t even get into? These complaints are getting really tired. You’re in Hollywood. Know and understand how it works. Quit your bitching. The venue is really tiny… think Hyde Lounge. There’s not so much a dance floor, but a strip of walkway flanked by a guard railing and table service banquettes… so watch your toes as you make your way through this place. The mens restroom is hilarious. It’s as if they really wanted to use that space for the rest of the club and only by health code requirements to put in a mens room, they created this joke of a water closet. The restroom door literally swings open into the single sink(so if someone’s washing their hands, you can’t really get in). It has ONE urinal — and one toilet that doesn’t have a stall-door. So guys, squeeze out those brownies before heading into Delux, ’cause you’re not going to have fun chasing any bears in this place. Thursday nights are fun… DJ Tal rocks it. Great acoustics in here. Lots of interesting people of all kinds… and everyone is really friendly and down to party.

An embarrassment to Hollywood alike. I rolled up with 6 gorgeous women and was only asked to come in and choose one of my friends. The guy that was running the door looked like Pizza-the-Hut haha and he was the gatekeeper. Utterly questionable! My friend is a promoter there and he was such a sweetheart. he tried to sneak us in the back but I am not down for that shit haha I really don’t know what the rave is about?! I can hear the music outside in the freezing cold and nothin much that Serato can’t do for the new millennium DJs in the Hollyhock scene! This place is a dud. DONOT come here if it’s the last place on earth to get a drink. Quite a waste of time and I don’t have much of that in 5 inch heels, ya know?! Ridiculous!

Dropped by after 12AM on a Thursday night and got in with no problems. But then again, one of the guys in our group knows the GM. We got a table next to Paris Hilton and partied the night away. The crowd was hot and the décor was classy. Too bad there’s no dance floor though.

ugh. my roommate and I went here to check it out and I was instantly reminded why I freakin hate going this deep into hollywood. I swear the further in you get the bigger the breast implants and the douchier the guys. I am good at spotting out celebrities at these places or shall I say«celebrities» in this case. yeah I saw pickel from«america’s smartest model» from vh1. yes I watch too much brain rotting reality tv — but it was just funny seeing how he and his z-list friends paraded into the club like they were somebody. oh brother. I just went here last week and I basically transformed into an alcoholic for the night in order to keep my sanity. I just noticed someone wrote excitedly in their review that there is a ladies lounge? pshh. the upstairs is ghetto and there were definitely dudes up there using what is supposed to be the bathroom meant for girls only.

Yet another douchebag ridden establishment brought to you by Adolfo Suaya… the king of failure. Drinks are overpriced, the star power on Thursdays is B-List at best, and the doorman is a complete and utter idiot. The food was HORRENDOUS, and actually made me a little sick. You’d think for all the money they put into the place, it might actually be tolerable. Nope. Goa…Charcoal…Gaucho(ew) Grill… These guys really know how to fail in style. I can’t help but laugh that there is an actual betting pool going on in Hollywood on how long it takes for this place shut down too. Hilarious.

The Place: The place is gorgeous. It is a shame the when lights dim since you cannot fully appreciate the décor. This small but lush lounge is a great place to start the night, relax with some friends, or bring a date. The music is a great eclectic mix well spun and played just loud enough for you to have a conversation with someone. While some lounges have a dance floor, this one does not. It is Hollywood so later in the evening there will be the crowd of Hollywood douches, but the layout of the place makes it so they won’t ruin your evening. It just opened so it does not have its own crowd yet and not much else can be said about the subject. I tried a few appetizers and it was pretty good, portions were made so you could just have about 6 – 10 bites. Perfect to nibble on and share with a few people. My waitress that evening was Christine. A wonderful beauty I would highly recommend asking for if you have a table or bottle. She is sweet intelligent and well versed in the menu. The Drinks: I am a cocktail lover and as such tried everyone of them. My favorite is the Basil Berry. It has a subtle flavor of Basil with hints of berry in the background. I highly suggest it, but warn that you can easily just drink it like water. Another favorite is the Flapper jack. It tastes like an apple mojito. The Pineapple Sundown is also very nice. I almost didn’t want to order it since it is an absinth based drink and I do not care for absinth, but I am glad I did. For those whom are adventurous in their cocktails give the Spicy Dom or Ginger Black a try. The Spicy Dom was like drinking thai food. Very unusual but if you have an open mind and give it a chance it grows on you. The Ginger Black first tastes like a run of the mill juice cocktail but finished quite strongly with a ginger flavor. The Pom Noir is a Henessy based drink that has a stronger liquor flavor that leans toward the sour taste. The Garnet was decent, but didn’t do to much for me one way or another.
