Ay Papa Que Rico

From out of town & saw the smoke & knew it had to be good! Wow! Understatement! We will be back again in our travels from Southern to Northern Cal. The chicken is bomb & the fried plantains about the best & I have been to Central & So America!

Got the ½ chicken combo for $ 7.99, which included rice, beans (pinto or black), grilled jalapeño, salsa, & tortillas. Also got the beef rib combo for !0.99, which included the same sides — minus tortillas. The chicken was REALLY good. The beef ribs was not what I was expecting… I was expecting big beef ribs but instead they were short ribs. They tasted very good but the BBQ sauce was a little too sweet for my taste. Next time I’ll get the chicken plate. Our total bill with 2 sodas came to $ 26. One thing this place might want to consider is installing some wall-​mount patio heaters. There is no indoor seating, so we were freezing our butts off while there.

Just by driving by you can smell the food cooking. I’ve never been disappointed. But I wish they give you more tortillas tho lol

I can never find anywhere to eat some good food in the valley well today that changed. First time here and cant complain ordered up a Cuban sandwich it was on dot great flavors. The rest of the menu looks really good going to come back soon finally found a really good spot in three valley for some great food.

BBQ chicken was D– licious!!! Had the cashew juice for the first time and am now a fan. Black beans were awesome and I don’t normally like black beans. Definitely going to be a regular at this spot. Only reason for not giving it a full 5 stars was the parking situation and neighborhood. But the food was amazing!!!

Would be 5 stars if they didn’t always run out of their Cuban Sandwich!
Place is solid! Always call in your order and give them 20 minutes. Chicken platter and the Cuban are as good as it gets in the Valley. Seriously! The carne burritos was just ok. waiting to try out the entire menu

Came back last weekend since my mom wanted to try out the food. This time, I ordered the asada sandwich and my mom ordered a half order of chicken. Both were really good, especially the sandwich. The sandwich is about the size and price of a footlong from Subway but definitely way tastier. Still need to come back soon and some of the other dishes.
It gets pretty packed over the weekend, so I definitely recommend ordering over the phone ahead of time.
Parking here sucks though. There is a very tiny lot behind the restaurant that is shared with a bodega and you might be better off parking on the street since you might have to wait for another car to leave before you.

I drive by this place all the time and always see quite a few people there. I finally decided to try it today because of all the good reviews on here on Unilocal.
It was very clean and YES staff are very friendly and helpful.
I ordered asada steak sandwich, cuban sandwich and was happy to see they sold tostones { — — I’m Puerto Rican and we share that in common with the Cubans.
Didn’t check food until I got home.
Sandwiches was huge… like a foot long. I was prepared to pay 6.99 for a six inch but got more than I expected. Steak was well seasoned and was delicious. My sister loves steak sandwiches… Will definitely bring her here to try it!
Mom’s had the cuban sandwich and said this was 100x better than Porto’s and could tell it was an authentic cuban sandwich. I had a bite of hers-​it was tasty.
They forgot to pack my tostones (couldn’t get my tostones groove on :(but I called them and they apologized. I told them I couldn’t go back today but would go tomorrow. They apologized again and said when I go tomorrow they would give an additional order of tostones for the inconvenience. Talk about SERVICE RECOVERY. Wow! I’m blown away by their service!
In our City, its very rare for an establishment to have excellent customer service like this. I hope they keep that at the forefront of business mantra… cause if they do… I only see growth for them!
I’m going get my coworkers to come try it next week (just gives me an excuse to come try something else on their menu Lol)

This is my first time trying this place and I have to say its pretty bomb. I got the chicken burrito with everything. Very tasty. I ordered it for a pick up and it was ready in 10 min. Overall great place to have some Mexican food. Reminds me of home made food.

I ordered chilly cheese fries and the chilly taste like can beans fucken can beans i won’t come back

Pretty good. Picked up 2 Cuban sandwiches and 1 Media Noche. While they were both good, the Cuban was superior to the Media Noche. Friendly staff. Will be back to try other stuff.

This place just opened a few months ago so I came to check it out. service is wonderful and the food is good. I had the Chicken and beef tacos fully loaded and they were fantastic. would be back

I live around the vicinity and travel by Ay Papa Que Rico often to catch the 405 FWY.
Every time I drove by my nose tingled with joy :) I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to watch their wallet but feed the entire family. I usually just call in and order. Within just 20 minutes your order is ready for pick up. An order of 1 whole chicken with tortillas, a side of rice and beans, with some salsa will only cost you $ 16.00. You read right! $ 16.00 dollars!
Friendly service and delicious food!

Mmm charbroiled chicken and Cuban sandwiches yumm with a bonus of super cool and friendly staff.

Went there yesterday for the first time and played it safe getting their Shoe String Cheeseburger I have to say it was AMAZING!!! Every bite was better and better, also the tostones were delicious. To top it all off the service was like dining in a high end restaurant, and one of the chefs came out to say hi which just made my family and I feel so welcome and at home that we just had to get food from there again today! Right now we are eating their BBQ chicken sandwich and let’s just say THANK YOU for opening up so close to our home we will be coming back for everything on the menu. If you’re close by try it you won’t disappointed and if you’re far away we’ll get your you know what up off that couch and drive there it will be more than worth your while.
Update! Just had the Carne Asada sandwich, COME ON! Is there anything this place doesn’t amaze with!!! Simply delicious, I wish I had a bigger tummy so I can order the whole menu

I am so glad this is located right near me! The cashiers are always very friendly and willing to help explain what their food is all about. I’ve had the Pollo Al carbon, beef ribs and the Cuban sandwich which all were very delicious and super affordable. You can tell they putting a lot of effort to serve fresh delicious food!

Let’s start with the chicken. Either with spices or bbq it your choice. The chicken spices are tasty, delicious, juicy and you could get it with bbq which add a sweet taste on the chicken. The chicken is never dry since its coming fresh from the grill. Just know they use mestique wood for there grill. Which either you choose the sauce or bbq you end up licking your fingers. Beef ribs are tender and pops in ur mouth. Rice, pinto Bean, salsa (green or red) and tortillas come with each order. Now there other delicious food on menu. Yuca, platanos, baby back ribs, and drinks. Hope to see you soon. Thank you Alieen for always providing great new choices n customer services. I had the asada n chicken sandwiches the flavored are not over taking on ur taste buds. Make you want to eat more. Foot long for 6.99. I love here n keep coming here. This place is great. Came here after church and had some purdy fantastic chicken. We were pretty full after half a chicken and splitting a cuban sandwich.
Also the staff is super chill.

Stubbled on this chicken eatery which is literally a shack. FINALLY a Cubano establishment in the valley. The Valley sucked as a whole since there isn’t a variety of Caribbean options.
You obviously would love this place if you are a chicken eater and love Cuban food. Chicken is freshly grilled and sold family style accompanied with yellow rice and black beans. Very reasonably pieced ! I also like that they sell Platano and Cubano sandwiches which is unheard of in this sector of town. Very reasonably priced.
Personally I would take out since there is only outdoor seating with ceiling fans.

First time trying this place out. Very good grilled chicken. I got combo #3. Its ½ chicken with yellow rice, your choice of black or pinto beans, green salsa and tortillas. Id say this is shareable :)
Chicken was cooked perfect! Rice and beans were yummy. The green salsa pretty good.
Chicken quesadilla was also very good!
Gotta try their other food options.
